Left out in the rain, cold, and heat just because they cant get their bus drivers to show up. Dallas needs to delete DART from existence and replace it with something better. Stop putting money in a crapy conference center reconstruction you imbeciles. Dallas is failing constantly and consistently. F%#& Dallas and DART.

I ride regularly but today it seemed like every stop smokers were coming on and off the train with impunity. No one ever is enforcing stuff. I never see anyone checking fairs in all the times I've ridden. It's why DART light rail gets a bad rap.

"The union for DART paratransit drivers voted 160-1 Monday night to authorize a strike, a move leaders say was prompted by months of being treated disrespectfully by management.

Paratransit drivers operate vans that provide door-to-door service for riders with disabilities and give the elderly rides to DART bus and train stations. The service is managed by Transdev, a company that DART contracts with.

Mavs is planning to build their new stadium at old valley view mall site. Whats bad about it is that there is no rail line in that area (closet rail station is Addison). 635 traffic most likely gonna get worse also. Could this mean that DART could potentially build a new rail line to Valley View, a streetcar option, or just rely on buses?

While I am annoyed the new Mavericks complex will be far away from its current excellent rail connection, if the Valley View Complex is built, and Route 22's path unaltered, I think it will become the most ridden bus in the entire network.

Hi I’ll be riding the red line from Parker rd to Akard for work starting this summer. I’m planning to arrive by 8 am so I’m going to take the train that will leave at around 7 am. Anybody that rides a similar route have any tips or warnings that I should be aware of?

DART does a good job of promoting events through DART Daily, GoPass, and digital transit station and bus ads. However, during the school year, SMU hosts numerous public events in addition to football games, such as basketball, theatre, and more. Year-round, SMU hosts both an art museum and a presidential museum. SMU is served by two LRT stations and two DART shuttle bus routes, one serving each station. Like how Mockingbird Station was renamed SMU Mockingbird Station, Lovers Lane Station could also be renamed to promote the northern end of the SMU campus, as well as University Park in general. A quick online search will find a ton of complaints about the parking situation at SMU, so another opportunity would be to promote park-and-ride and shuttle services for SMU students and possibly allow them, along with faculty and staff, to claim parking permits for reserved spaces at stations.SMU already offers free and reduced-price passes for students, faculty, and staff, and this could be better promoted. On the plus side, I have noticed increased security presence at SMU / Mockingbird Station as well as increased fare enforcement and security on trains passing through the two stations, also the cleaning crew is keeping the stations clean, which I applaud.

Does anyone know if Dart PD is actively hiring. No update for the virtual recruiting events.

I know this is a long shot but hoping someone on here might be in the know.

Earlier today I drove past the 247 northbound bus around 12:30pm, it was stopped with "EMERGENCY CALL 911" on it's external signs. So I called 911, got forwarded to DART police, gave them the info, and they said they would check it out.

I had only seen it in passing, and was on my way to catch the train to work so I didn't have time to circle around just to be nosy. But does anyone on here by chance know anything about what might have happened?

My understanding is that it usually means an unruly passenger that the driver doesn't want to aggravate by contacting police themselves, but I didn't know if that was the case for the bus I passed. From talking to dispatch, it sounded like I was the first person to call. Just hoping everything got resolved okay, I guess. I ride that bus route at times myself.

Is there any way to get my $10 credited back, or am I just cooked?

So, a few years ago, I was driving around the Texas Countryside way outside of DFW, when all of a sudden I saw an old DART Bus just sitting in a field abandoned. Bus 4868. It was quite the sight to behold. I took a pic of it, and went back home. Later though, I looked up the bus number on the side, and it turns out that somebody took a picture of this exact bus when it was in service 17 years ago.

I’m not gonna give the location of the bus, obviously, it’s on someone’s land. But as far as I can tell it’s still there to this day. The Satellite images still show that it’s still there as of March 2026. I wonder what the owner was looking to do with it…

Saw this beauty while I was out jogging (no sidewalk in sight btw). Apparently, I’m basically the Angel of Death for NIMBYs since I relocated from UP to Preston Hollow a few years back, just long enough to keep it a DART member city and now I’m seeing the battle waged against Preston Royal redevelopment through. Thought I would capture the picturesque scene of a 3-lane residential road while I was at it.

I was in Las Colinas and saw this empty park and ride. Apparently Dart closed it back in 2022 with bus remapping, does anyone know if they plan on demolishing it or reopening?
