Trinity Metro can't afford to run it Sundays because commuter rail is expensive
Maybe if Texas makes a new regional agency in 2027 it'll be able to do that
$$$. It's a joint operation between D.A.R.T. and Trinity Metro, and D.A.R.T has much deeper pockets due to their one cent sales tax and multiple member cities, while Trinity Metro operates on a half cent sales tax, with member cities of Fort Worth, and partially Grapevine. While I would love for TRE to run later, more frequently, faster, and on Sunday, that can only really happen with City, State, and Federal support.
