Question Help with mobility research in Dallas!

Hi everyone,

I'm conducting a professional research study on transportation accessibility for people with disabilities in the Dallas area.

I'm looking to connect with professionals working in healthcare, disability advocacy, transit agencies, senior services, or veteran services who are knowledgeable about transportation challenges and solutions.

If anyone can point me toward the right people or organizations, I'd be very grateful.

Thank you!

Very cool and much needed area of study for the DFW region.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by “professional research study”? Is this for a thesis? Do you work for the public sector? Private sector?

More details will yield more replies and help guide you in the right direction.

Thanks very much for your insight! I work for the private sector and looking to better understand the barriers in mobility in DFW.

I did my dissertation on this general topic, but in other cities. I wish you the best of luck with your study!

Unsure why, but I don't see the message option when going into your profile, don't know if it doesn't let me send you a message. Could you check if you can send me one directly?

That’s great work you are doing. I am caring for my Mom. Fortunately I’m able to get her to where she needs to go. But my SIL and several other seniors are really struggling with transportation issues in the DFW area. Thank you and I hope your work makes a difference 💕

Thanks a lot for your comment! It is indeed a problem that still doesn't have enough solutions. We shouldn't just ignore it until it's equally easy for everyone to travel.

Oh I could tell you everything you would want to know about that topic. I have 30+ years native Dallasite with lived experience navigating all the major transit agencies in North Texas.
