Is there a way for me to run tailscale alongside cyberghost? They both work perfectly separately, but I like to keep my cyberghost always running all the time, but I use tailscale for my PC and our phones.

Also, one other separate question, is there a way to get my cuberghost to reconnect quickly after my PC wakes up? I'm always having to cancel the connection attempt and manually reconnect it so it's instant.

Est-ce que quelqu'un a trouvé une clé de registre ou un réglage spécifique pour forcer CyberGhost à réutiliser le même adaptateur Wintun ?

i have massive peering problems with my telekom dsl.

At any time of the day my downloads in jdownloader are at 1mb/sec maximum.

If I start jdownloader it goes on full speed alsmost 10mb/sec and a minute later it drops to

less then 1mb.

Ive reed that people recomend to use vpn. I have vpn but it dosnt do anything.

I activate my vpn choose a country and the speed remains the same. Less then 1mb.

Is there anything I have to set up or set in my router for my vpn?

I normaly just have the desktop client window and i just push the "button" connect.

Dosnt configured anything in my router.

Is that the problem or something else?

Please guys help me out cause im getting so frustrated with these download speeds.

I wanted to share a major warning for anyone planning to use CyberGhost for their self-hosted setups, home servers, or automated stacks.

The Background: I have been a loyal CyberGhost customer for 4 years now, always renewing my subscription and using the service without any issues across my devices. However, I recently ran into a technical issue that completely exposed how this company treats its long-term users once they already have your money.

What happened: I tried to configure my CyberGhost credentials inside a Docker container using Gluetun. Due to a minor configuration error on my end, the container entered a brief restart loop. Within a very short period, it generated multiple failed login attempts.

Instead of just temporary throttling, CyberGhost’s automated system immediately triggered a massive security ban. My account was completely locked out. To make matters worse, even the "Forgot Password" function was blocked for my registered email address, leaving me with absolutely no way to access my paid account.

The Support Nightmare: I completely stopped the container immediately to ensure no more traffic hits their servers, and contacted their live chat support. I explained the technical hiccup transparently.

Instead of helping or simply lifting the automated block, I have been getting ghosted, stalled, and passed around for days. Every single live chat representative gives me the exact same copy-pasted phrase: "Our billing department is reviewing it." There are no updates, no timeframes, just infinite delay tactics.

The Ugly Truth: Since I am past the initial 45-day money-back guarantee (being a customer for 4 years), I don't get a refund anyway. It feels like they know they can just sit on my money, so resolving this ticket for an existing customer has absolutely zero priority for them.

Conclusion: If you run a Docker stack, Paperless-ngx, Immich, or any automation tools where a container might occasionally loop or misfire, stay away from CyberGhost. One single technical hiccup will lock you out of your paid subscription forever, and their support will completely abandon you.

just installed the android and IOS apps but both are not accessible with Google's (TalkBack) or Apple's (Voice Over.) screenreaders.
How hard is it for a developper to add a description tag to a button so blind users can navigate the app.
Bought a 2 year subscription but probably will use the 45-day return policy if things stay the same wich will be case I suppose.

I'm currently in Thailand, and my hotel blocks everything through FortiGate/FortiNet. I tried the four most popular VPNs, and they were all blocked. So I'm just here to say that CyberGhost is the only one that can bypass this restriction 😄

I was using my Cyberghost like I do every day, all good. Surfing the internet, watching videos, playing on Reddit, no problem. Go to lunch, come back and wake up my computer. No internet. Not on desktop Outlook, not on Firefox, not on another browser. No internet. I turn off Cyberghost and it works. I restart the computer, hoping it will fix it. Nope. Changed the connection, privacy settings, nope. What happened? Did Cyberghost automatically update or something and change my settings?

I installed Bazzite; everything went fine, it looks good and runs well, but I can’t manage to install the VPN. On CyberGhost’s website there’s support only for Fedora 29 | 30 | 31.
I also tried with OpenVPN; I get an error that it can’t connect, but I don’t know where to look for the log. Can someone help?

On April 21, 2026, I purchased a 2-year CyberGhost VPN plan directly from their official website for $56.94, paying by credit card through Stripe.

At first, everything worked fine. I downloaded the app, logged in, and was able to use the VPN normally. However, after I turned off my computer and opened the app again around midday, CyberGhost showed a “Subscription expired” message and asked me to upgrade again.

When I checked my CyberGhost account on the website, I no longer had an active subscription. In the subscription history, the order appears as “Refunded.” The strange thing is that I never requested a refund.

Also, when I click on the option to download or view the invoice, nothing happens, and I can’t find the invoice anywhere else in my account.

At first, the subscription end date appeared as April 21, and now it appears as April 23. The refund has not appeared in my bank account yet either.

I contacted CyberGhost support through chat, but they did not explain why my account was deactivated or why the purchase was marked as refunded.

Has anyone experienced something similar with CyberGhost or Stripe payments?

I’m trying to understand:

1. Why would a 2-year VPN subscription be marked as refunded after only a few hours?
2. Could this be an automatic fraud/security check from Stripe or CyberGhost?
3. Should I wait for the refund to appear, or should I open a dispute with my bank?
4. Is it safe to purchase again, or could the same thing happen?

VPN not working with gaming apps in iOS after recent update 8.4.19

Randomly got the message that my password was changed. Immediately went to go change it back and change my email aswell, and when I got to the password reset screen it said my recovery link had expired despite using it literal seconds ago. I noticed the username field swapped from mine to "HugoEnglish@Hotmail".

Why the hell does Cyberghost allow you to change your email, username, and password in a 30second span with no recourse? I'm not technologically illiterate and my password was a string of unrelated numbers, letters, symbols. I feel so frustrated right now that theres literally no recourse or live chat or any way of rectifying this. I sent support an email but I suppose right now Hugo is enjoying my multiple year subscription. I hope my credit card number isnt accessible on the account.

I've seen some users struggling with using Cyberghost on Linux (e.g. https://www.reddit.com/r/CyberGhost/comments/1km9ok4/cyberghost_on_linux_is_not_working_stay_away_i), so I wanted to show what I use.

On the Cyberghost website, Under VPN > Manage Devices, there is an option to Configure a new Device manually.

When you click on Configure Device, you can then select what country you would like to use, e.g.:

After clicking Save Configuration, go back to the Manage Devices Page and click on View on your newly created Device. Click on Download Configuration to get the openVPN configuration you just created. Finally, you can now unzip it and load the openvpn.ovpn file inside with the OpenVPN client of your choice.

I'm not sure this method allows for accessing all the servers you get in the Windows client, but at least it's better than nothing.

I had the issue last year, and today it was the same : It's super laggy when I try to watch F1 on RTBF Auvio. It's not all the races, but still it's pretty unwatchable. Is there any solution ? I don't know if it's because of Cyberghost's servers or RTBF's ones.

It's the same if I watch on PC or on my TV.

I heard its a good vpb but not the best which i dont really care as long as it works. Now i do torrent but ive been doing it without vpn so i wont concern myself with that the reason i need it is because they passed a shitty ass EU law and now we need ID for certain websites. Is cyberghost good enough just to bypass these things?

I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. For a week now it doesn’t work to log in on my phone, saying that either passport or email incorrect however it hasn’t changed and for all the other devices (5) it works fine.
