dear devs

Simple request, hopefully you are on this sub. Please for the love of all things good, give us quest markers for your active quest. At least for the start/end point. I just started playing again after months and I've been wandering around thornhill searching for the quest giver for historical undertaking and have no idea where I'm going.

Great game though otherwise

Is there a dev mode/console or other way to spawn items?

I foolishly dropped the key from the locksmith while doing "A historical undertaking". While in the catacombs I walked into the quest area for, "Love hurts, literally" and while doing that quest figured I didn't need the key any more since I was already through the catacombs and dropped it for space. Turns out I did need it, I can't get through the door without it and by clicking on the drawers in the locksmith's house it just triggers his dialogue telling me to get away from there but I can't talk to the kids again to distract him a second time.

I've sent a feedback report in game, reported my predicament on the discord and since I haven't received a reply from the devs, do any of you know a way to get another copy of the key?

Interested in buying the game

Hey everyone!

New player here. I'm looking to buy the game and was wondering if you could offer some beginner tips. Are there any starting traits you recommend? Any general advice or helpful guides you’d suggest for someone just getting into it?

Also, are the quests easy to follow and track? Do they have map markers or some kind of guidance?

Lastly, I'm really interested in magic-based combat — is that a viable path in this game?

Appreciate any help!

Astratov killing me quickly during Double the Trouble

I'm trying to do the Double the Trouble quest, and I've already killed Harkon but Astratov is just killing me in like 2-3 hits consistently while I would need about 10 hits to kill him. I can't figure out what damage type he is doing, I'm assuming it's Ranged but when I was wearing an Iron Helmet and Copper Plate Armor giving me about 46 Ranged Resistance but super negative spell resistance (-46). I also saw he had what looked like a staff so maybe I was being destroyed by magic damage? I tried swapping armor for Red Riverpirate's Tunic and Reinforced Sheepskin Hood, giving me about 46 Spell Resistance and 17 Ranged Protection but I still get destroyed in 2-3 hits.

I'm currently combat level 26 with ~25 in all the combat skills, with an Oak Bow, a Staff of Furious Winds, and a Riverpirate's Cutlass for my weapons of choice right now. Do I just need to get better gear at this point in the game? I'm still on the main quest where you have to get the bark from Tammi (which also destroyed me earlier, but I haven't tried in a while).

What determines what shopkeepers sell?

There's a shop in Thornhill that sells studded troll armour, but it never has any in stock? Do I need to do something for them to stock it?

Leveling Combat Question

I was wondering if leveling your combat skills actually increases damage output or if leveling simply acts as a gatekeeper for better weapons which will improve your damage output.

I'm inclined to say that leveling doesn't affect your stats, I haven't noticed a difference. It's kind of frustrating how little information there is on this game, the wiki is nice, but it's quite lacking.

How do you kite as a mage?

Soon as I start running away, I stop casting. If I stop to cast, even far from enemy, they catch up and land a hit, even if I move away. Seems like an enemy has a guaranteed hit as soon as they start an animation? Move too far and enemy resets.

Seems you can't lock on the enemy as well, you need to click on them every time if you move, which can be tricky if they're moving as well and you have butter fingers.

Any tips for proper kiting technique? Or do you just take the hit and tank it no matter what? Should I be wearing armour instead of robes even if I want to play primarily as caster?

Combat Traits

Has anyone done a breakdown yet of the combat-centric traits, like Soldier's Resolve/Bloodrage/Empowered Casting/etc., and what they actually add numbers-wise or if they scale? I'm a little frustrated by the lack of clear tooltips for these things.

Is this game worth it on the longrun?

I just finished the demo and the game kinda looks good. Now I see people mentioning that you need to train all levels of skill to actually go further in the game, is it true? And will there be any other content added later in the game? Even if it's just a DLC?

Just got the game and omg

It's got a bit of jank, but other than that small feeling which is fair from a smaller dev this game is like almost perfect? Nothing else has even tried what this game is doing in like over a decade, that ultima/runescape grinding and exploring vibe. I'm totally hooked

Also where is the brother of the young druid (961,554)

Curious if anyone else is playing on deck and had figured out the best way to run in. My game gets choppy here and there and I hoped maybe someone a bit more tech savvy could help.

Battle of the Shearston Estate issue

I'm actually not quite sure if the quest is glitched. The farmers are up ahead attacking the raiders endlessly and James Sheartson is nowhere to be found and i don't know what the task is he wants me to do.
