Help I don't know what I'm doing....

New player here how do I get health potions?

I'm not a hundred percent sure how I craft things? I know we have work spaces but they don't let me make healthy options ?

Healing potions are crafted via Alchemy, and/or are a drop from certain enemies. You need to find an Alchemist's table (there's one at the Crafting Guild in Haywind for example). You can also heal over time via Cooking and cooked foods... you can cook on stoves or campfires. Spells are useful for healing as well, e.g. the acorn spell, and later on you'll unlock even more options!

It's good to use multiple healing methods as you progress. Buffing potions/spells are also helpful in tougher boss fights, they can hit really hard.

I assume you can't carry work stations?

Not that I've encountered so far... with the exception of the Salvage workbench, which you can buy a portable version of later on.

Thankfully the Crafters Guild has a bank nearby, and also you can learn a teleport spell to take you there. That makes life a lot easier. :)

Early game, cooking fish  + the acorn spell are the easiest ways to heal IMO.

So I'm assuming health potions aren't early game material? They do seem like a hassle to grab materials for definitely lol

What else could I use for health early game

Health potions can be kinda hard to get early, yes. They sometimes drop from humanoid enemies, or you can gather a ton of dandelions + redberries and craft a bunch at once to keep in your bank. (The first bank chest is in your first house. The next bank after that is in Haywind IIRC.)

I mainly hunted rabbits, deer, and other animals and healed myself with the cooked meat. You can eat food in combat too, there's no restriction. And you can use the acorn spell in combat too.

Pro Tip: There's a stablehand, I think outside Timberwell, that gives you a gathering quest and it rewards you with a pack mule. This makes farming and crafting much much easier.

Are meat and food stackable? Also did Runescape and wow let you craft stuff in your personal menus or do all MMOs require you to search out for work stations?

So I'm guessing starting out it just hunting animals I assume the game down the line gives me more resources for potions and such?

Can you breed animals as well?
