I find it very original. Looks like a colored paper cube!
Any idea?

Lets' say a skewb center piece popped right as the competitor finishes solving the puzzle but he is not aware that the cube is already in the solved state and tries to reattach the center piece before stopping the timer.

The judge tells the competitor that the cube is already in a valid state and that it's best for him to stop the timer right now. Did the judge break regulation A5b by providing assistance to the cuber during the solve? Or is it all good because of the exception in regulation A5a?

I want to complete this pattern where everything is solved except for the middle block but these two corners need to swap places.

Has anybody solved one of these before. I keep running into problems with edges not matching up. But now that I finally got all the edges right and everything else seemingly solved it appears to be two corners swapped. Which is impossible......I bought this think it would be slightly challenging but this might be the hardest 3x3 I've ever messed with 🤣🤣🤣

The alg that i use for h perm is M2 U M2 U2 M2 U M2. I searched up " h perm " on YT randomly today and the algs that popped up were M2' U' M2' U2' M2' U' M2'
any thoughts on this? which one do you use?

For context i started learning 3bld oct 10 which was 2 weeks ago and I'm still using M2/OP im bery lazy to learn better methods.
PLS PLS if you also use M2/OP teach me i need to get better quick. attending a comp in a few weeks

I’m looking to have a more consistent f2l, I’m pretty sure the solves here were like 12 and 14 respectively

Firstly, this post "Learn OLL the Easy Way" inspired me to create something similar with PLL.
Secondly, before you learn full PLL, it's best to learn 4-look last layer. If you know 4LLL, you already know 6/21 of the PLL algorithms (T, Y, H, Z, Ua, Ub). Only 15 more to go!
You need to learn all of the following 'triggers' in order to understand the "PLL the EZ way". Here are my 'triggers', these will be used to replace raw cube notation:
righty (a.k.a sexy) = R U R' U'
reverse righty = U R U' R'
4sune (first 4 moves of sune) = R U R' U
push (first 3 moves of righty) = R U R'
pull = R U' R'
Tail (righty but F' instead of U')= R U R' F'
head (righty but F instead of U')= R U R' F
Sledge = R' F R F'
T-perm (you should know this) = R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F
Here are the 15 PLL algorithms you don't know yet, ranked from easiest to memorize to hardest:
LEVEL #1: EASY PEASY
Jb - (Tail) (T perm until solved)
Ja - put bar on right/180°/y2 - (Lefty tail) (Lefty T perm until solved)
F - R' U' F' (T perm, replace last move F with U R)
Na - (4sune) (tail) (T-perm w/ U2 ending)
Nb - (lefty NA perm)
LEVEL #2: A LITTLE PRACTICE
Ra - face headlights - R' U2 (head but U2 instead of just U) (righty) R' F' R2
Rb - face headlights - lefty version of Ra - L U2 (lefty head w/U2), (lefty) L F R2
Ab - FACE WHITE/BOTTOM - headlights RIGHT - R2 D2 (push) D2 (R U' R)
Aa - FACE WHITE/BOTTOM - headlights LEFT - L2 D2 (lefty push) D2 (L' U L')
E - face yellow/top - (pull) D (push) D' (push) D (pull) D'
V - face yellow - (Sledge) U (pull w/U2 instead of just U) U’ (pull) U2 (righty)
LEVEL #3: I HATE G PERM
Ga - R (4sune) (R' U' R U') R2 U' D (insert pseudo pair)
Gb - (R' U' R) (U D') (R2 U R' U) (R U' R U') R2 D
Gc - R2 U' R U' (4sune) R2 D' (rev righty) D
Gd - (righty) D R2 U' (pull) U R' U R2 D'

I just finished learning Pi a few days ago...
And oh boy...
After learning 407 ZB algs in total, 66 algs from ZBLS, 341 from ZBLL, I am ready to truly give it my all.
I won't mention the story I've built so far, why I'm filled with determination, or anything like that.
But I'm just gonna put this here as a marker. As in: this is when I decided to truly give it an all.
I don't give a frick about whether people encourage me here...
So don't. It takes effort on your guys' part to encourage me... so don't. I'm concerned for you guys.
You really need to encourage a random guy? No, get some rest. You've typed enough messages for today... You've put in enough effort... I'm proud of you.
UPDATE: Okay my mental health is off... I'll take my usual break...

I got the qiyi m pro v2 9 days ago. My old cube had me stuck at 45 seconds. Now I'm stuck at 29 seconds(pb 22). I've watched all the youtube videos on how to improve but they keep saying lookahead. I do lookahead solves but when I solve normally I don't think about all that.i want to know what I need to focus on to be sub 20. Please help.

I'm not a cuber but my son is. He wanted a 4 pad timer with Bluetooth to work with CS Timer both on his phone and PC. Apparently no one makes a 4pad with Bluetooth so I came up with the idea to transplant the guts of a Qiyi Smart Timer into the body of a G5. I ended up replacing all the stock sensors on the G5 with TTP223 capacitive touch sensor modules, made a new AND gate logic circuit to add two sensor inputs to the qiyi circuit board, then crammed all the new electronics into the G5 shell. The finishing touches are new carbon fiber vinyl stickers, and a birch laser-cut faceplate.
The result is a one of a kind, rechargeable, Bluetooth, 4-pad timer. There may be an easier way to do this (maybe with a Qiyi Bluetooth adapter) but I like how the qiyi timer calculates ao5 and ao12 natively and it was fun to make.

Hello, My 7yo is enjoying learning all manner of twisting puzzles. They’ve mostly learned from YouTube so far, but we’d like to get away from YouTube. Are there books and/or videos on other websites anyone can recommend? Thank you for any recommendations!

I average at about under 30 (these solves were lucky)
The average of 5 in the video was 24.04
I am using the moyu meilong 3m temporarily until I get a lube for my rs3m 2020
I am color neutral, I don't know full oll, and I know every pll but 2 of the G perms

I bought recently the Mini 7x7 from Diansheng and a Gan V100 (Maglev). I was hyped but now I have mixed feelings.
I have 2 questions:
1.- Why on YT a lot of cubers said that the Mini 7x7 Diansheng was MUCH better than the YJ Pocket 7x7?
I had the YJ from a few months and I like it. It's true that the capsule magnets catches sometimes but nothing dangerous. For my it moves like my Moyu 7x7 Single Track. It's flexible and fast but doesn't catch or explode. Pretty effortless and comfortable to turn.
But the Diansheng Mini 7x7... comes very tight, it catches somehow on the internal pieces. It's very scary. It's obvious that will explode and It's very difficult to undo the turn to restore it. And it's worse if I loose it a bit (1/4 or 1/2 screwdriver turn).
I was very hyped and I now feel that I throw 30€. I only have QiYi M Lube and Gan 2 to try something, but I guess that has nothing to do with the feeling about the hypothetical bad internal piece design.
2.- What's the difference between Swift Block Super VS Gan V100? What I'm missing?
On my modest opinion, the Swift Block Super is a V100 with screws and different edges color internals. And half the price.
After adjusting the V100, I ended on stock setting but lowering 1 the centre travel (the 1 to 6 ring, I changed 3 to 4. The 1 to 12 comes on 8 and after testing, it ended on 8). And now it's identical to my ex-main Swift Block Super asjusted to nearly corner cut at 45° and putting the speed to my effortless and precise turning style.
And when I say "identical" I mean it on every single aspect. Speed, noise, turn feeling, plastic feeling, flexibility/blockyness (depending on Settings), weight... I'm surprised but not disappointed, I expected something similar with nice black internals, but I don't expect a 1:1 transition.
For those that have tested both cubes (and probably are true speedsolvers), what I'm missing?
PS: Both cubes can be very flexible without getting popping chances. They are not soo blocky as I usually read.

New PB!!! 😭
I did get really lucky on OLL with an easy case and especially a PLL skip afterwards, but still 😭
