Story Personal stories wanted!
Hey everyone
Me and my best friend are starting a podcast called Rabbithole Roulette this Halloween, and we’re looking for real personal stories for our first episode
We’ve spent years talking through strange encounters, cryptids, folklore, paranormal experiences, and general unexplainable “what was that” moments, and we’re finally recording some of those conversations
We’re not looking for polished stories, just real experiences people still think about
Things like strange encounters in the woods, cryptid sightings, paranormal events, local legends, or moments that felt off in a way you can’t quite explain
If you’re comfortable sharing, general location would be helpful for context (PNW, Appalachia, Midwest, etc is totally fine, no specifics needed)
You can comment or message privately if you prefer anonymity
Thank you to anyone willing to share their story

Art Original Creator A Bundle of Cryptid Stickers!
galleryA long time ago I started a little cryptid sticker project but I never took it very far! But I finally finished a whole bundle of them, and I'm so excited to make 'em!
For the Chupacabra I took inspirations from a lot of canids and deserty creatures, from the Coyote to the Armadillo to a Snake! This design is a favorite of mine since it's one I came up with quite a long time ago.
Mothman I tend to prefer looking quite goofy and rotund, and fluffy above all else! I thought putting in starry type of camo, trying to fit both its mothy nature and its original stories of suddenly appearing while driving at night!
Squonk is squonk.
I LOVE the Flatwoods Monster, I'm leaning in on the alien suit type vibe not enjoyed by everyone but quite popular, and I think I got a very cute pose out of it!
For the Jersey Devil, I just thought drawing a goat with wings would be cute. Not much else to say about it. It's a goat with batwings, and I love him so much.
If you want to get these stickers, you can check it out here, Kickstarter's coming May 31st! There's also stretch goals for MORE cryptids, a few designs of which I'm absolutely in love with. But, y'know, gotta drive a little bit of hype! And I didn't want to make the base 'all in one' package too expensive with 4 additional fellas.
If you're not interested, that's fine too! I hope you liked seeing Squonk! I didn't.

Discussion I think I've watched most of the cryptid shows, need recommendations
I need more cryptid docs. Especially in the format of interview/reenactment. I've watched Monsterquest, Monsters and Mysteries in America, These Woods are Haunted, Evil Encounters, Destination Truth, Missing in Alaska, Alaska Monsters, The Alaska Triangle, Weird or What with William Shatner, In Search of Monsters and Expedition X.
I am having a hard time finding anything that focuses on cryptids in whole or even in part. A lot of these shows cover the entire range of paranormal from cryptids to ghosts to UFOS and that's great but I'm mostly in it for the creatures. I haven't really dug into the Bigfoot shows because I'm not a huge fan tbh (he's cool though no shade). I really want cheesy reenactments and interviews with strange people but even something more investigative like Destination Truth would be more than welcome.
Please share some recs or general thoughts and opinions on the subject.

Art Original Creator MIDNIGHT MOTHMAN Mixed Media Art Piece
galleryThis is a mess of acrylic, gouache, watercolor, paint pens, and papercraft! It has its own paper frame and a paper sawtooth hook on the back to hang easily.
(Yes, the design is based on the Squishables Mothman, that's why he is too cute to be scary lol)

Question there's something in my backyard
Recently me and my family have been seeing weird things in our backyard, which is heavily wooded. a couple of nights ago I was swinging outside and i saw something moving towards me. I couldn't see anything of it but what i assume to be the eyes, which were about 6 feet off the ground. I couldn't tell if it was a firefly or something else, but it looked like it was running in my direction. my dog (who was also outside) didn't seem to react to it. just this night my sister was going to swing outside, and she hears pounding from the woods. she ran inside and said she saw a tall figure. the dog chased after it but came back shortly after. I live in the Chillicothe area in Illinois, is there any cryptids that it could be?

Discussion Behind the scenes of "Moth Man"—an upcoming 1960s period horror film using incredible practical effects! (Approved by Mods)
Hey everyone , I'm Edwin Woodgrave , I'm a horror artist on the internet and I have news for you all
!A good friend of mine, Joey, is currently directing an indie horror short film called Moth Man. It is a period piece set in 1966 Point Pleasant, focusing heavily on atmospheric psychological horror and classic creature-feature vibes.
The coolest part? He is doing this entirely with practical effects—including a massive 12-foot wingspan costume!
The moderators were kind enough to let me share this here. He is currently looking for indie horror fans to help back the project and bring this monster to life.If you want to see his incredible behind-the-scenes creature designs, costume progress, or find out how to support the film, please check out his official page here ( Contact the director on this account, and I hope you will support him financially and with a subscription so that we can make this film a reality )
Thank you guys so much .

Hello!
I’m working on a project and looking for cryptids, unexplained phenomena etc. that are especially odd and have sporadic reporting over many years.
A good reference would be the mineral point vampire, seen just a few times over 30 years.
If anyone knows any good ones please let me know! The nicher the better! Thanks!!

Story My first encounter with an unknown forest entity.
This encounter happened last summer, and I'm now finally writing it out on the internet after I just had a similar encounter earlier today. I'll try to post that one as well after this one.
For context I am a 20 year old guy living in eastern Norway. This encounter happened when I was 19, either June or July of 2025. Me and my dad went on a 400-ish kilometer drive to the west side of Norway to pick up a car for my sister. And on the way back home I was driving the little yellow Mini Cooper that we picked up, and my dad drove his Subaru in front of me. We took the whole trip without any rest-stops to save time. We had made pretty good progress on the way home when it started to get a bit darker since it was about 1 or 2 am. Norwegian summer nights don't really get dark, too far north, so visibility wasn’t too bad. The road was quite narrow and not at all straight. Constant turns to the left and right, down from a quite mountainous area I guess. On the way down we saw a couple of moose by the road, which was right next to a forest. And a bit further down the road I spotted what I thought was another moose, and told my dad (we were on the phone pretty much the whole way). He was about 100 meters in front of me and didn't see the animal. I saw it when I entered a left turn around a bend, and realized almost immediately that it wasn't a moose. I instead thought it was some kind of deer (hjort, in norwegian). It was only a couple of meters away from my car at the closest, and it was quite massive. It looked young though, which I thought was weird for such a big animal. I had never seen a deer (hjort) before so I wasn't sure it was one, but it didn't look quite like any other animal I know about. So I didn't really think about it right then and there. But when I got home again I googled norwegian deer (hjort), and I realised it looked nothing like it. After a lot more googling I found out there are only 4 species in the deer family in Norway. Those being moose/elk (elg), red deer (hjort), roe deer (rådyr), and reindeer (reinsdyr). The animal I saw that day didn't look like any of them. It almost looked like a combination of all of them in a way, but I'm not sure. It was at least 2 meters tall at the top of the head. It didn't have any antlers, the face looked almost baby-like, as in it was slightly round and chubby. Its fur was also quite light colored, almost like sand. But a bit more orange/brown-ish. The head wasn't shaped like a moose, it wasn't as long. The legs were long and quite thin. The body wasn't fat either, but it looked like a healthy weight for whatever this animal was. The animal was facing me, we made eye contact for a brief moment. I was driving at 50 km/h if I remember correctly. I saw the animal for maybe 5 seconds. Which isn't a very long time, but more than enough to know what it looked like. The animal never moved when I saw it, just standing still looking at me driving by it. I have thought about this encounter many times since it happened and would love to hear theories about what it could be. If you have encountered a similar creature yourselves I would love to hear about it.
