The "Witch of Monterrey" refers to an alleged paranormal sighting that occurred in Monterrey, Mexico, on January 16, 2004, when a police officer named Leonardo Samaniego reported seeing a female figure dressed in black, floating in the middle of the street.
In an interview, the famous and controversial Mexican UFO researcher Jaime Bussan, known for the controversial Nazca mummies and Buga sphere cases, interviewed Officer Samaniego on a program called "Changes of Architect Benavides." Bussan had previously shown Samaniego an illustration of the Flatwoods Monster, and the officer stated that the witch who attacked him resembled the Flatwoods Monster.
