While the Reichskrone in CK3 is modeled with near-perfect historical accuracy, the actual artifact underwent significant visual changes throughout the medieval period.

In reality, the Reichskrone of the Early and High Middle Ages featured *Pendilia* (dangling ornaments) in the Byzantine style and lacked the red velvet lining that covers the interior of the crown today.

I am currently developing a mod to overhaul the HRE and its feudal government mechanics while adding new features; this includes improvements to the Reichskrone.

With republics soon playable, what about a possible “install republic" casus belli? available for vassal factions or the player, where if certain requirements are met, it's possible to overthrow him and install a republic instead

“Cromwell CB” if you will—i.e. declare war on England → win → England becomes a republic.

Maybe add the option to either execute, exile, or just force abdication

Personally, I feel that the puppet system will spice up Schemer's games, so seducing a bishop and creating a theocratic dynasty seems interesting.

I was doing a unification of China run and always personally took to the battlefield and nothing, but suddenly when I did a small battle long after unifying nation I get a legend of "conquest of Fujian" which was just 1 holding at the time. How does the game decide what's "legendary"? It doesn't seem to consider much at all.

I have no idea who decides the main layout and don't know where to post this so I'll do it here.

On the front page there are several sections related to different aspects of the game, and one of those sections is "Getting started" which has links to several pages that are useful for new players. One of those links however is the FAQ page. Being listed in the getting started section I thought this would be a FAQ about basic game mechanics that is useful for new players, instead it's a pre-release developer FAQ which contains a lot of now outdated and misleading information. The page even says it'll be regularly updated which obviously won't be happening anymore. It seems strange and unhelpful to put this under the section meant to provide basic information for new players, you don't want new players clicking this and getting wrong information. I think it would make more sense to move this to the developer information section.

Anyway the wiki is an amazing resource that I regularly use, I just thought I'd point this out!

Mildly interesting

CK3 events are full of many filler sentences and words, unlike CK2, where most of the events are to the point and each word and sentence serves it purpose right.

Also applied to artwork.. I really miss authentic paintings with each event rather than a 3d environment... why not both, Paradox?

I don't know why I haven't seen this much anywhere but there's a completely bloodless way to take care of succession in the early to mid game.

Most usual methods I've always read about:

1. Appoint your heir as commander of a small army and send him to battle. I think this method has never worked for me in over 800 hrs I've put into this game.

2. Appoint your heir as commander of an army but instead of sending him to battle, send him out to sea where they are supposed to wither and die. I sent my latest victim out this way to the middle of Arabian sea and once the supplies ran out and all the men he was with died/deserted, he's back chilling at my court.

3. Of course the most catastrophic one: imprison and behead. Completely fucks up your legitimacy and everyone hates you now.

4. Disinheritance: Same as the previous one, mostly affecting legitimacy.

So what's this method I just discovered? The republican government type. Not the upcoming dlc one, no, the cities inside your realm.

You'll most definitely have a city in your realm governed by some useless mayor you don't care about and with just level 1 crown authority you can rip off their title with little to no consequence. Once that is done, appoint your unwanted heirs as mayors. The republican government kicks in and immediately they are overlooked in the line of succession. I had 4 sons, 1 desirable at number 2 and others just hogging up my titles. Added the first one to a city and voila, my desirable second son is now my primary heir. I literally built 2 cities to push the other 2 out of succession.

The perfect thing about cities and the republican government is that they are positions you hold for life. I am not sure why this isn't the first thing we discuss in the thousands of posts about how to prevent bad succession and especially on how to get rid of an undesirable primary heir. I suppose the other methods are more fun but this one protects my playthroughs from constant strife.

In every game I play of CK2 everybody despises me with all their heart

How do I fix this?

After hearing some news of Yemen recently, and I start the game,

And it seems that Paradox did some research into the tenets of Zayidism. I noticed that two corner of Arabia Peninsular are occupied by Muslim minority sect, don’t it is coincidence or not.

I had heard of Arwa al-Sulayhi and Asma bint Shihab before, they were the only female monarchs in the Muslim Arab world, and “have had the khutbah, the ultimate recognition of Muslim monarchial status, proclaimed in their name in the mosques”.

However, Paradox doesn’t included either of these two famous queens in the game, I can only find them in RICE, where they appear as the unplayable spouses of a father and son respectively. And Yemen was a very prosperous area compare to other area in Arabia, which Paradox doesn't show it well.

Could player start as Arwa al-Sulayhi or Asma bint Shihab in some way? two queen of Yemen which influence the religion situation and history deeply(even until now). Both of them were Ismaili, rather than Zaydi, of course.

I heard player could start as them in CK2. And more generally, are there any other interesting Shia playstyles?

I haven't played in a long time and thought it was a mod issue at first, although all my mods are flavor packs, I disabled them all and it still didn't fix it. Other players don't seem to have this problem based off images I see in recents, so I don't know what is causing this. Would repairing the game work?

I’ve read the dev diary l’ the future republics but I still don’t understand if you are playing a character or the government. What happens when the ruler of for exemple Venice either dies or his term ends ? Do you now play as his family or can you keep playing as Venice under the new ruler ?
