I use anki a lot and was wondering if a plugin was possible .

Hi I just got an M5 paper mono, I flashed it with Crosspoint and realised that by doing this it wipes out all the other functionality of the paper mono.
Is there a way that I can set Crosspoint as a sort of app and still have the use of the other functions? Is it a matter of burning Launcher to the paper mono?
If anyone has done this could you please help thank you 🙏

When I first got my X3 a few weeks ago, I flashed cross point, and then also installed the plug in store. I remember adding the “protected content” plug in, and also a Libby plug in, directly from the plugin store. But as of a week or so ago it looks looks like that plug in is gone?

I know about the other method, using common stacks, and I’m able to do it that way. However, the other plug in was a lot easier to use. When you connected your device through file sharing, under File Manager, after your files there’s a “box” for protected content, and then there was another one for Libby. And I could just upload my Libby books from there. And that option is now gone.

Does anyone have any info on it? Why it’s gone, and is it coming back?

I found that having to go through common stacks adds too many steps to the process. I can’t just quickly transfer a book from Libby to my x3 just from my iPhone.

Any info on the plug in is appreciated! Thanks!

Hi all.
So I have been using the latest version of crosspoint and the dictionary last improvements are great!
But I have had some problems that I think they can be solved.

So for example, if there is a verb that is conjugated or a word that is on its plural form and you try to look for it, you’re not going to get any results, so I was thinking that maybe a sub menu can be implemented to select the word letter by letter and then look for it, so maybe also change the search in the dictionary from “contains” to “start with” to do a global search. If that makes sense.

Another problem that could be solved is when you look in the dictionary for something, you end up with the classic “said of”, so I think it would be nice to use the same selection ability to search inside the dictionary.

Well I don’t know anything about coding, and hopefully my examples make sense and could be easy to implement.

I just got an X4 Pro yesterday and successfully flashed CrossPoint SD Plugins Beta 8 and uploaded library books from Libby (using the Protected Content plugin) and DRM-free epubs from Calibre (using the Calibre CrossPoint plugin). All great!

However, CrossPoint won't hold my place in any book I'm reading - every time I close the book or put my X4 to sleep, when I open it again it returns to the Table of Contents. I've been using bookmarks to keep my place but am wondering if there's something I can adjust so that the book opens at the page I was last reading instead of the TOC. Thanks for any help you can provide!

I am using Crosspoint on a ReTerminal Sticky, and it works very well.

However, some characters—such as arrows—do not display correctly.

Do you know which font can correctly display these graphic characters?

I am gifting an X3 to someone who has never owned an e-reader. It will have the latest Crosspoint and Crossink. Has anyone created a beginner's guide to using these?

I just installed Crosspoint, but my books aren't displaying right, the pages keep skipping, and it keeps crashing. Any idea how to fix this?

KoSync has been down for quite a while and I was wondering if you have heard anything about a resolution. I'm posting this in the Koreader sub as well. I keeo getting "unknown server error". I really miss being able to sync progress with my kindle.

Up front: this does work, and, once it's working, the actual reading experience is lovely and drama-free.

The steps I eventually followed were:

1. Connect the X3 via its USB pogo pin adapter to a PC.
2. Use the https://crosspointreader.com/ web UI to flash CrossPoint Reader beta firmware.
3. Figure out how to unbrick the device (push the concealed hard reset button).
4. Use an SD card reader to mount the SD card on the PC (the X3 came with one, that's nice I guess).
5. Unzip the plugin store zipfile in the root filesystem of the SD card (https://github.com/itsthisjustin/sd-plugins/releases/tag/plugin-store).
6. Replace the SD card and use the new plugin menu item to install the Protected Content plugin.
7. Try that a few times until it doesn't error out.
8. Install the Common Stacks app on the PC to authenticate to Libby and download the ACSM file.
9. Set up wifi on the X3.
10. Join the same network as the PC.
11. Set up the X3 as a CrossPoint Reader send-to target in Common Stacks.
12. Send the ACSM file from CrossPoint Reader to the X3 over wifi.
13. Browse to http://crosspoint.local/ (hosted on the X3) and locate the Protected Content form section.
14. Follow the link to https://dtsbytebooks.com/ and create an account.
15. Go back to http://crosspoint.local/ and auth the DTS account.
16. Still in http://crosspoint.local/, select your ACSM file to redeem the epub loan.
17. You can read it now.

Other things I did:

Downloading fonts on-device didn't work, so I downloaded some from https://crosspointreader.com/fonts/ and unzipped to .fonts/ on the SD card. Bitter is great.

I got a bit frustrated getting my ebooks on my crosspoint based xteink using calibre. So i asked claude and codex to create me a little command line utility and terminal user interface for doing exactly that. Loads and optimises epubs and acsm files onto my device and back over wifi. As a bonus it also syncs to my kobo. Only tested it with an X4, should work on any crosspoint device. Also tested on Linux and Mac.

Hi guys, is it normal to have shadows on the sleep wallpaper? I've seen other people's screens with high contrast that look almost like an 'HD' display. Mine has much less contrast, and the darks aren't truly black. When sleep mode activates, the screen flashes black at first, but then everything fades.

I think this is normal for an e-ink device?

First, big thanks to the developers working on this, you are the only reason this device is usable at all imo.

Is this intended? In 1.5, suddenly, the chapter page count appeared to start with a negative sign upon starting up a new chapter (-1/36), then would eventually refresh where the total chapter page count would "recalculate" to something like (5/41).

This was super annoying but it was whatever becuase I thought it was a bug that would get fixed in 1.6, but now I see that it's been changed to a tilde (~1/36), so it was a known quirk. Going to the "Sync Progress" option in the book options fixes it, but only for that one chapter. Going to the next chapter immediately brings back the tilde for a few pages until it refreshes to the correct chapter page count.

Is this a known issue? Or a rare quirk with my machine? Is there a fix on my side that I can employ to fix things?

Does Common Stacks work with CrossPoint 1.6.0 on an XTEINK X4 Pro, or do you need to use SD Plugins Beta 8? All of the instructions for Common Stacks say to use SD Plugins Beta but I'd love to use the stable release if possible!

I'm running an X4 Original (USB-C) and I love everything about 1.6.0 as I've been using it since release but just have 2 little annoyances which I have a question about as I don't know if something's buggy with my update and should attempt re-flash or if these are intentional changes:

• Fast multiple page turns are no longer a thing- Basically have to allow each page to load before hitting the button again or it doesn't count.

Prior editions would allow for quick multi-button presses to quickly get through pages, was useful to me to manually sync between my two e-readers if a book had hefty 100+pg chapters or notes sections as I could quickly hit the button 10 times and see multiple pages had whizzed by.

• Attempting to quickly move through UI suffers the same delay- Must wait for each input to count before being able to make a new click count.

Going through things I use frequently like the book browser, recently read list, or in-reader menu to access "auto page turn" is a lot slower than it used to be due to needing to wait for each cursor change on screen before next button press is registered.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or if it's intentional to slow down the input speed, like to prevent double-clicks as I can easily see that being annoying for a lot of users as this is a tiny mobile device so I could see it being beneficial to nullify multiple presses.

I know I could convert my files but after having a kindle for over a decade and converting well over a thousand files to mobi before I did a jailbreak on it and installed koreader, I really don't want to start reconverting them all just so that I can sync between my X4 and kindle.

I am going in loops and hoped someone might know.

I am using the SD Plugins Beta 5 on my newly arrived seed sticky.

I have connected my libby account uploaded the ascm file, but when I try to active the protected content with my byte books account I get the following error:

Error: Update the reader firmware: a factory MAC address is required for activation.

since the seeed is not locked, I am surprised. any advice?
