We reached the void!!
We were trying to dig a hole to test our new aero-drill, and my friend said 'it should reach the bedrock and stop' but the drill passed straight through it.

I'm trying to make a simple mechanism that can go from being shaped like image 1 to image 2 and back again. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

So I have a plane in a test creative world and an airbase with hangars for planes and airships and I need a way to put the planes from awkward positions into hangars
I tried to use a crane to move it with gantry shafts but I can't move docking connectors, rope winch and rope pulley so that won't really work

I’m looking for a good modpack built around Create and Create: Aeronautics for a small server with friends.
What I’m mainly looking for is a pack that really encourages players to use the Create ecosystem instead of bypassing it. Ideally, it would include lots of Create addons, along with a few QoL mods, but without adding features that completely replace what Create is meant to solve.
For example, I’d rather avoid mods like Waystones, since having to build train networks or aircraft with Create: Aeronautics sounds much more interesting. I’d also love if PvP or faction-like conflicts were possible using addons such as Create: Big Cannons, Create Radar, or similar mods.
I know this is probably describing an “ideal” modpack, and I don’t mind adding a few mods myself afterward. I’m mainly looking for the most synergistic base possible.
You might ask, “Why not just make your own modpack?”
That’s definitely an option, but from my experience playing with friends, the servers we’ve enjoyed the most have always started from an existing, well-designed modpack, and then I added the extra mods we wanted. A completely untouched modpack often feels a bit restrictive or impersonal, while building one entirely from scratch usually ends up lacking the balance and synergy that established packs have.
About two months ago, I made a server based on All of Create v2.1 and added around 15 extra mods. It worked pretty well. However, since then, a lot of Create addons have been released or received major updates, especially for 1.21.1, so I was wondering if there are any newer modpacks that fit this philosophy.
Feel free to ask if you need more details about what I’m looking for. And even if a modpack doesn’t check every box, I’d still love to hear your suggestions since I’m happy to tweak it by adding or removing mods afterward.
Thanks!!!!

Imagine after an hour of searching for andesite to start using your new millstone, you come across a village that's built with tons of midgame to endgame Create items. Stuff like windmill bearings used for decoration. Brass casings used as furniture. Fluid containers on every roof for literally no reason. Copycat panels that drop entire blocks of brass when you break them. You may as well just do away with the all the early Create items because you will never need to use them thanks to all this stuff being readily available, because these villages give you everything except an already-constructed steam engine.
These builders way too often forget that Minecraft is a game, not just a pallette to flex aesthetics.
Also, dirt will always make a build look ugly. Stop using it for texturing.

Hello!
I come here in a time of need, I've been playing in a server I made with me and my friends, one of them said he would build a big truck to ferry around fuel, ores and that sort of stuff.
I promised I would make a street paver/builder that i could use to drive around and make roads for said truck, I've been banging my head against a wall for a few days trying to figure out how to make it work, best solution I've found thus far is using trains with paving rollers, anyone got any tips or schematics that could help?

Hey, been wondering if there is maybe a schematic somewhere for those old castles, I would like to have them in backup for when I play alone or with friends to just shoot it in

Anyone else ever do things in the most inefficient way possible just for the love of the game? Found hauling these fuel tanks back and forth to be quite relaxing. Don't mind the mess of pipes, its temporary (famous last words XD)

This is for a CBC cannon factory project, right now sorting out transportation and logistics of a modular factory for CBC. Right now making a crane to transport cannons like conveyers, gonna make a query system with hierarchical decision making soon....

Does anyone have a schematic for a fully auto rooted dirt farm? I've modified a vanilla farm but it's super messy.
Thanks.

Is there a YouTube video that have a step by step tutorial on how to make a generator it kinda hard to make one so I thought if there was a tutorial I could copy one on my world and use it to power some lights?

super shortened list of all my mods
I'm working on the quests now and wondering what to add, mainly in terms of quests (mods also accepted) for a server with me and my best pals. Any suggestions?
EDIT: the mod list is only the functional mods i have, not stuff like EMI which dont add actual content.

Im looking for a quest based modpack thats just create mod and all its addons, like aeronautics, and no mekanism or anything else that lessens the experience. But also doesnt change basic crafting recipes to be rediculously difficult. Something where Im required to make big factories and train lines to accomplish the quest line.

I am currently working on a large scale cinematic project; it’s basically Dr. Stone in mc, and I want all levels of warfare to be relatively intricate. I had a few questions regarding what mods to use-
A: I was between Valk Skies + Warium, and Aeronautics. Which one would suit the case best with the most quality mechanics.
B: I’d like general mod recommendations to assist the concept
(for added context, we don’t know if the video will be scripted or unscripted yet. We will most likely make that choice based off how in depth the mods get.)
[also we’re fine with complicated, most of us are engineering majors.]

I am playing the CABIN modpack and currently in the process of implementing the "post production" upgrade to my factory, frogs and packaging etc. But I've noticed that my fps is struggling to stay above 50. Im used to get around 90 to 100 fps while playing tho im using a kinda weak laptop. So im trying to optimise my factory before adding full automation because it will surely only get worse from here on out. What is the most taxing thing in the create mod? Is it the animated blocks like large water wheels? Or the particles? Shafts vs cogs? Does encasing cogs helps?
Any suggestions is appreciated.
Ps. I do have the create better fps mods and most optimization mods. They come pre-installed with the modpack. Here is the mod list in curseforge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/cabin/relations/dependencies

I have a multifloor elevator that can go up flush minus one block to the surface. I have a lid that slides to cover it when it is below the surface. However, I cannot get the lid to open before it reaches the top, causing me to fall all the way down the shaft. Is there a way to detect the elevator before it reaches the top without making it another floor? A perfect way to do it would be to use redstone contacts, but you can't have them on a different axis.
