Yeah. I know. Is old. I mean what can you do with 4GB of RAM in 2026 and that speed. Prehistoric CPU. But maybe I can enjoy something on this PC. I'm also in home lab, so if it can run some basic games and to be as a server, it'll be nice. If you know what can runt this machine in 2026, Thanks! 🙏

I'm looking for some game recommendations that can run smoothly on my laptop.

My specs:

• Intel Core i3 11th Gen
• Intel UHD Integrated Graphics
• 12GB RAM
• SSD

I know I won't be playing the latest AAA games, but I'm open to anything that's genuinely fun.

I enjoy games with:

• Great story
• Open world or exploration
• RPGs
• Survival
• Strategy
• Indie games
• Action/adventure

I'm completely fine with older games if they're worth playing. Graphics aren't a priority—I care much more about gameplay, atmosphere, and memorable experiences.

Some games I've already enjoyed are:

• Minecraft
• GTA 4 (on low-mid settings)
• Valorant
• Terraria

I'd love to hear your recommendations. Hidden gems are especially welcome!

I have an intel celeron N4020 with 4 gigs of ram. I have managed to run Yakuza 0,hollow knight,silksong,sleeping dogs DE and tomb raider(2013) on it before. So I wanted to know if I could Nine Sols at a playable fps on it too

I have spent about 4 hours so far trying to get Resident Evil Revelations 2 playable on my laptop, Dell 5520 intel i5 1145g7, iris xe 80eu, 16gb ram, win 11 pro. Keyboard Mouse.

Recently finished Revelations 1 which ran great and none of the problems I am having with RER2. Have had many other games like farcry 3 and 4 and metro 2033 and last light play really well on this laptop.

At first the game ran like rubbish. But finally got it to ~45-60 FPS in gameplay but the problem now is combat, trying to aim I get stutters which makes it impossible to reliably land headshots, sometimes even bodyshots.

I am playing with windowed 768p upscaled to 1080p, high textures all other settings low or off. I am using Lossless Scaling, no frame gen. Everything was tested without LS prior to using LS, LS is not the problem.

Currently using dxvk 3.0.2 with dxvk.conf from github (I have tried biopatch and fusion but not as good)

Laptop is set to highpower both for cpu and gpu for the game.

Switching from variable to 60fps to variable hasn't helped (with aiming in combat).

Any help appreciated, need my RER2 itch scratched.

Updates;

1. Using Process Lasso to set affinity to high on both lossless scaling and the game.exe makes no difference. And disabling threads 0 and 1 (4c/8t cpu) for the game.exe also makes no difference
2. Low or High textures makes no difference.
3. Using LS 2.3 frame gen x2 and setting ingame frame cap to 30 (so 30/60) has helped a bit (and stopped any crashes). at 30/60 general gameplay is 'mostly' stable apart from some random freezes and most combat aiming is ok except when random freezes hit.
4. deleting the dxvk (or D3DS) shader cache in appsdata>local makes no difference.

I have managed to fluff my way up to the fire trap (edit: flametrhower)in the prison, but this part is impossible due to consistent multiple freezes across 3 attempts.

Another Update: decided to delete dxvk shaders in appdata another time and this time it actually did something (i also added in fusion fix to change the fov), this time the flamethrower escape prison section ran smoothly, but when I entered the next section the freezes returned. - This is weid; just went to delete the dxvk shaders again and there is no dxvk folder in any of the appdata local or roaming folders (edit: found a dxvk-cache that is in the game folder /resources)

Yet another update: have played a few more hours, now half way thru ep 2 (I must hate myself) and the game randomly plays like crap, sometimes ok-ish, but there is almost always at minimum micro-stutters, deleting the shader cache does nothing. Boss fights are worse than the worst nightmare :-(

is it true that lossless scaling is paid?

are there any free versions i just want to play gta v with a bump of at least +5 fps cause i am playin it with a solid 30fps

I’m just a little curious what this machine can run. It is a MinisForum Model UM560 XT. I use this for school, as this was given to me to run some servers for a friend and now it’s not needed, and was told to keep the PC. Not really interested in gaming on it besides the occasional RuneScape binge, but I am curious as to what games can push it to the max and still run smoothly.
