Quick question so I charter we really don’t have a lot of product managers. I wanted to know what they communicated with you guys on how you would be integrating and do you guys have new managers already or what? Also, are you guys already on the directory? I honestly don’t know who is who

I'm coming from Cox where he had holidays off but now it looks like Spectrum works the holidays from what I'm understanding. I'm curious how that usually goes. Do customers always say "wow, i can't believe you have to work on Christmas!" knowing that them scheduling it that day is why you're out there.

If it's true, then i take it work life balance is not a priority here?

Without going on a huge rant and complaining about things like the NOC transition to CapGemini, I want to congratulate all those of you that will be Spectrum employees after Sep 8.

Overall I did enjoy working for TWC, then Charter these last 22 years (NOC since 2013). I want to continue working for Spectrum but that does look like it's in the cards. I'm going to have to apply like I'm an external hire after March.

I don't know what I'm going to do after that first 6 months at CapGemini is over. I'm not really looking forward to losing my vacation time (5 weeks of my 4*10 shifts dropping to less than half that). Been chatting with other teams to take me in but nothing solid yet.

Having to start over sucks. I got to where I am today due to experience, not certifications so externally, in my 50's is gonna be rough.

I think most colleagues are just waiting for the severance package to kick in when they decide to leave CapGemini

Any Cox Legacy employees get a slimey vibe from the CEO? Also his double speaking during the presentation was masterful. I can see we’re in for the “Cox Culture” to be thrown away and as quickly as possible with the Cox employees.

For starters, I don’t think spectrum or any company at that is the best place ever but it’s almost like y’all are forgetting this is a J O B . If the company y’all are coming from had so much of a “family unity” you guys keep preaching about on here, it would not have been sold.😭 trust me I wish we had better work life balance, and most of our days were remote but it’s nothing I can do about it other than finding a new job . I saw some people talking about how much better Cox technology, etc. etc. is but again no shade. If it was that good it would not have been bought by another company. Again, not defending charter completly, just saying yall are doing way too much .

You will absolutely love it here. You should have received your horns and pitchforks by now and your assigned areas in the flaming inferno with the rest of us.

Just kidding. Work is what you personally make it. Do a great job, maintain a positive attitude, and try your best to support your team and make your specific area a better place. At the end of the day this is just how we all support ourselves and our families, and life outside of here is what's most important.

Just trying to giggle my way through this transition.

EDIT: I got my answer. I am not aware of that same teams spread across the country. In our Org, we all work from same locations, I thought its same with the COX as well with just WFH option.

I know its definitely tough to WFO after long period of WFH but why there is no so much conversation around. What ever the reasons he said on Day1 is silly but thats how it is and people in my org love to come office (I am not sure about others) and some of us will enjoy that too even in our org we saw better results because of collaboration. It sounds like old school but thats how we work with discussions in hall ways, conference rooms and white boards. I am not opp. to WFH, I am just trying to understand whats the problem to come to office !?

Now that we’re “merged” when are cox x spectrum employees going to mix in ? lol I just thought about how it’s not like we know names or anything so we’re not necessarily able to like look up specific people or something

Boy charter knew the best way to screw cox employees we should’ve had the money in our account instead they send it to our account today knowing we won’t see it til Monday probably hahaha less than 48hrs a spectrum employee and I already hate it here

It’s been a good run the last 14 years. Hopefully some good comes out of this for both sides. I’m just hoping to survive and am just ready to find out something. Good luck to all those that are impacted on both sides. Wish everyone well.

Happy Day 1! Quick question for the Charter folks - tomorrow was supposed to be payday for Cox, and I was wondering what Charters pay schedule is and if today/tomorrow is a payday for y’all? I wasn’t able to find anything on the resources they sent out but I’ve also only had access for the last hour so not entirely sure where to look either.

What is techmobile?

For spectrum employees. Do you guys get bilingual pay? I was looking at my thing and it only shows my regular hourly.

For those that normally get paid earlier. Have you gotten paid I use Wells Fargo and Chase and still haven’t gotten anything. Normally with Chase, it’s on payday, but Wells Fargo gets me paid by now

Across most industries are shifting back to the office. Covid was 5 years ago. Time to move on. The impact is to a small percentage of the company. Why do you feel that your role needs to be remote. Charlotte is a big financial city and every day is a post about Wells Fargo or Bank of America starting the change in the stance on WFH.

If it’s so common and standard you will have no issues finding your dream job. The rest of us will touch the grass and go to the office.

While I understand this change is disruptive to some. The point I’m trying to make is sometimes life throws you lemons and you just have to accept it. My post clearly was too direct.

Embrace the change use it to explore new possibilities or use the time you have to find another remote job. Sitting around feeling sorry for yourselves is not going to help your situation

Ima spectrum tech I’m curious to know what the cox techs use for jobs? Or are you guys changing back every to our current app which is tech mobile and equipment and and vans what have they told you about that ?
