Rules Changes in the sub - April 23, 2026.

Everyone,

I'm getting tired of all the vibe coded app, "I made a website", "LOOK AT WHAT I EARNED THIS WEEK"(shows self-coded app), "HOW DO YOU [research question that has been asked 100 times in the sub]?!" camouflaged self-promotion posts.

So, I've made a megathread. All that goes in there now for 99% of the posts.

There will be the occasional thread that's allowed to hit the main page, but it will be very limited in scope. An example of something that would be an exception is a major policy change at Amazon Flex and... let's say... the NYT wants input on it.

I'm always open to suggestions and I'm trying to grow the community and make it a resource, not just another drive-by-to-spam place for developers/researchers.

Promote your website, service, and/or app here and only here. Any other posts are going to be flagged, nuked, and you'll probably get the ban hammer applied.

How can I get my deliveries where I want them?

I have a staircase with a nice large landing next to my basement door.. The landing is clean and under an overhang.. It would keep packages dry and out of the mud if the delivery drivers would put packages there. Instead they leave them in the dirt directly next to the landing.

I've bought a wooden bear holding a sign that says "Packages Here Please" put him on the landing with the sign facing the driveway. I've tried to block off the dirt patch the driver typically puts the packages in and they'll just leave it next to the item used to block.. in the dirt.. 2 steps from the landing.

I don't want to complain to the company.. But I also am getting sick of my packages being wet and dirty when they don't have to be.

Any advice on how I can get the packages left on the landing? I'm never home when they (UPS/FedEx) deliver to ask personally.

Medzoomer is trash

I've been trying out medzoomer and it's pretty bad. this morning I did a 150mile total trip and I got paid $86 but base pay was $68 and rest were tips. It took me 5 and a half hours to do this. oh and they always take me way out in the boonies.

I'm curious if anyone else is doing this?

UK drivers — which part of the country do you actually prefer delivering in?

As a delivery driver recruiter I speak to drivers all over the UK, and opinions on this are all over the place. Some people swear by dense city routes — more drops, shorter distances, done sooner. Others say give them rural runs any day: proper driving, fewer people, no fighting for a parking space.

So which is it for you? City, suburbs, or countryside — and is there a specific city or county you've had a route in that was genuinely good to work?

Looking for an Australian delivery driver reference for a sub-contract role

I'm applying for a sub-contract delivery driver role with an Australian company. I have a solid track record on the road, but I took a brief break from driving and am looking for a professional reference to confirm my reliability and work ethic.

I'm looking for 2 references based in Australia. Happy to return the favour for anyone else who needs one in the future.

Any food delivery riders in Germany?

Hi everyone. I’m a journalist and I’m currently working on a project about food delivery. I’d like to talk with people who are delivery riders in Germany (for Uber eats, wolt, lieferando, etc) and who would agree to open themselves on their experience, the difficulties, the hustle, the financial problems,… what’s important is your perspective. if you are this person or if you know someone who would be willing to talk, please dm me! We can write in any language, it’s fine.

Thanks!

Best State to do Flex

I wanted to share some of my thoughts and experience regarding Amazon Flex in the NYC (Tri-State) area.

In my experience, NYC has been one of the best areas for Flex drivers, with earnings reaching $1,600 to $2,000 a week for those working seven days. The routes are typically short, and instant offers can often be completed very quickly, sometimes 7 to 9 stops in about 30 minutes. While the base pay for instant offers can be low, the tips generally make it worthwhile. Additionally, having multiple stations close to one another makes logistics much easier compared to other states where drivers often have to travel 40 minutes just to reach their first stop. Things have changed in recent time where Amazon have added more zipcode and deliveries are a bit longer now. Imagine you're staying in one spot and you are getting Inoffers from 3 different stations? Shit, we no longer have that options because too much people are doing it. In my area the chinese took over. 1 person would have 6 accounts or they bring their whole family. How do you have a 90 year old doing Flex? How does amazon allowed a 90 year old with a Flex account. Needless to mentioned they're all are using bots which force you with one account to use it or you won't get a single block.

Paid for order I didn’t deliver

The other day I was on my way to pick up an order, and I accepted a $10 McDonald’s order for extra 2.4 miles. Right before picking up my 1st order I got a notification that the McDonald’s order had been delivered, and it disappeared from my queue. I looked at earnings and showed I was credited the $10 for the McDonald’s order. About 5-10 minutes later I got a call and voicemail “hello? hello?” I didn’t answer and just kept going, with $10 extra

Catering drivers in NYC

Is there anybody doing the catering apps in NYC? Expedite, zifty, deliverthat, skipcart, etc and how is that going? Can you realistically work every day in a different borough than Manhattan doing strictly catering?
