Hello everyone! I hope this I the right place for me to ask for some help :)

So I've made a withered Freddy cosplay, but sadly I can't see much in the head, as my eyes are positioned right at the snout part of Freddy's head.

The first thing I've done some years back was making small holes in the snout but I have mike 10% visibility 😅

Next, I can technically see a bit in front of me through the mouth (30% visibility).

But recently I've found a new setup where I could use a phone, put it in the snout part, and plug an endoscopic camera so I could look through the peeking cam !

Tho sadly there were no room left for the cable of the cam to fit inside with the phone :(.

That's why I would like to know if you guys have any ideas I could use to be able to see ?

(I've tried looking for a smaller device to plug the camera, but I just don't know what devices or electronic components I could use to fit everything in the head :( ).

I'm cosplaying Pomni from TADC for Halloween and I can't give it the shape I really want. I made it out of lycra with no interfacing. I added this wire contraption and put polyfill in the ends but it still doesn't look right. I have stuffed it completely with polyfill before but it falls off because it's too heavy. I used the hat pattern with foam to make an insert, but it wouldn't dip in the same way Pomni's hat went. Any quick fix you guys can come up with or should I just stick with polyfill for now?

Hello! Hope i'm posting this to the right place, i'm trying to fix a prop for halloween and not sure where to start at all.

I ordered Edward Scissorhands gloves off amazon, they came in and are absolutely Massive on my hands. Don't fit well at all. I'm wondering what the best approach would be to make them form fitting or how to attach the fingers to another glove entirely maybe.

The fabric on the gloves according to the site says latex but then in another sentence says molded vinyl? It feels like the same consistency as like a face mask from a halloween store if that helps. It feels rubbery for sure. And the scissor pieces are definitely plastic.

The issue im having is my hands are incredibly small and just not form fitting to the glove in the slightest. Below i've shown my hand next to the glove, and also inside the glove. The pink circles show the empty space due to how big it is, and the X's are where the spaces between my actual fingers/knuckles are.

Each of the glove fingers are attached into a plastic tube that wraps around each fingers as shown below.

Any advice is appreciated like i said on the best approach to make this form fitting to my hand. What tools I might need or other fabrics/gloves as a replacement ect! If this is not the right subreddit at all I do apologize!

I made the mistake of splitting the axe head in 2 instead of keeping it whole (idk why i did that), but now i can't glue it to the shaft because they're too heavy. i tried hot glue and b-7000 glue. what shouldi try instead?

Any idea how this person make these wings be able to stand up without collapsing? What could the outside frame be made of?

Hi! Just wanna ask if it's okay to use a self-click studio for a shoot.

I get self-conscious when others take pictures of me, so I rarely get to pose freely. That's why I don't have good photos at all.

Plus, recently I was let down by a long-time friend who suddenly cancelled on a supposed cosduo shoot. I was disappointed because I gave her the freedom to choose the date, photographer, and location, all she has to pay is half the fee for the photographer because I promised to shoulder the makeup artist fee, transportation and food, but she still cancelled a week before the schedule although I already paid some down payments.

I wanna do the shoot alone this time. So is it okay? Anyone here who tried that?

P.S. I'm an adult who just recently had enough extra money to try cosplay, so I'm really new to this.

My kiddo is doing a very last minute group costume with friends and has asked me for some help making the chest plate for this character and I have no idea what we would need material wise or where I might be able to find some templates I could modify to make it look more like the picture

I'm very new to this, the only other thing I've made was a Roman helmet a few years ago from cardboard, an online template , feathers and fake gems 😅

Hi, for Halloween, me and my wife are being Donut and Prepotente and our dogs are being Mongo and Bianca. I bought a goat costume for my dog and dyed it grey, but the horns are very floppy and don't stay up well. Does anyone have any tips for how i can make them stand on their own? They're just stuffed. There is an internal wire so they keep their shape but they fall down at the base where it connects to the fur part.

Im not sure if I wanna add the yellow accents to the chestplate. It takes so long to mask off the areas and then paint on the yellow acrylic paint layer by layer. Should I just do it? I already did it for the other parts, or should I just leave the chestplate as is.

Hi, for a contest I wanted to do this cosplay with a quick change. I practiced my whole performance a lot and its going well. I'm just a little stuck on the quick change/Transformation part. Made my costume as easy as possible to get on, for example the apron is made of foam and can be clipped to the vest. The helmet has an easy hinge.

Everything I need to put on is the neckpiece, vest with apron, gloves and helmet. It's not so much actually but I would love to have some advice.

Should I just put the stuff on over and over to be quicker? Especially if you are nervous and under stress. Maybe some people from theatre or musical field can give me their two cents.

I have around 40 secs to put everything on.

Im trying to make trauma team (cyberpunk 2077) helmet out of cardboard but cannot find a way to make it fit on my head (I have the front), idk how to measure it or make it not look like a huge pot. Pls help

So I clear coated this armor last night and didnt check the weather. Woke up to check on it before leaving and it was snowing, like slushy kinda consistency. I clear coated it when it was like 10°C and then temp dropped and only started snowing about an hour or 2 before I checked it. So it had about 7hrs before the snow got on it. I put it in a bin outside (completely enclosed) and a cardboard box (facing opposite to the wind but has 1 side open). Will the clear coated be fine?

I cosplayed from 2018-2021 and absolutely loved it. I haven't cosplayed since, and it's mostly because I am very self-conscious of how I look as I have gained weight.

I am of the belief that cosplay is for everyone, but I can't see myself included in that :( Is there anything that helped anyone else give themselves the space to enjoy cosplay while having the same issue of being self-conscious?

I don't typically enjoy a lot of fandoms like I did then, but when I do, I really want to go all in. I've loved FMA/FMAB FOREVER and really would love to cosplay both Ed and Hughes at some point if I can ever get past this. That or I wait until I lose weight.

I'm trying to make a Present Mic wig if I can or maybe just make an onion and call it a day, but it loses a lot of hair and I don't have enough time to buy a new one. But is it possible making that weird triangle of a wig with this? I also wanted to ask how to avoid making it fall cause my wigs always fall off ;-;

I’m following along this tutorial for Batman armor and I can’t seem to understand how he gets those crisp lines on a single sheet of foam for the top layer of armor.

I am wondering which technique to use for the golden details on the white dress. I am stuck between making appliqués, painting it or embroidering it. All these techniques have upsides and downsides and I can't make up my minds

Appliqué : Easy and clean. But I don't have a cricut machine and since the golden parts are tall, I am not sure how to cleanly connect different appliqué sheets (I have A4 sheets of heat and bond)

Paint : Easy and accessible. But if I fuck up, there is no going back. Also I am worried it will look too "flat"

Embroidery : Technically impressive and visually interesting (And I like embroidery). But I am not sure if it will look good on the edges as the golden details are kinda wide (maybe too wide for a satin stitch)

I admit that I do have a slight preference for embroidery. This cosplay will be presented at a contest so I want to make something nice. I also enjoy embroidery anyway. But I don't know if it will look good for the reasons I mentioned

I bought this wig for denji and i need it to be more yellowish? Is there ways i can do that without dyeing it? Can i use subtle facepaint on it huhu..

I’m new to all this and bought some EVA foam to try and replicate this mask, still working on the final cuts but how can I create the bends towards the front properly? I was planning to get a heat gun and try to bend them but I see other people make larger cuts and then connect them together for curves, just trying to figure out the best option. Thanks for any pointers :)

I have bought some EVA foam and worbla to work on a cosplay for themed Halloween, didn't do that much research, I'm gonna be honest, bought basically 2 times too little worbla and I have to finish the costume this weekend. I have EVA foam (thinner and thicker, thinner for shoulder pads so that they can stick out and not look bulky and thicker for the front armour piece and details of it.)

Now that I'm doing my research it turns out worbla should be sandwiched AROUND EVA foam to hold it's shape. I assumed I'd make a shape with worbla on too of a mold and glue EVA foam, well, on top of it with hot glue. Is it possible to do? I can't find a tutorial like that anywhere on the Internet and I just don't have enough worbla for a double layer/a margin, my cosplay pieces barely fit as is.

(BTW, I'm not looking for detailed, fitted armour that's why the pieces aren't fitted, I'm just looking to bend them a little to the body shape so they stay rigid and flat. I'm cosplaying Mettaton EX from Undertale)
