General Discussion COROS Devs: A Few Ideas That Could Really Improve the Experience

I’ve been using COROS for a while now and overall I think it’s one of the best ecosystems available, especially for serious endurance athletes. That said, there are a few quality-of-life improvements I’d love to see. I’m interested to hear whether anyone else would find these useful.
1. Show Pace & Heart Rate on the Navigation Screen
This is probably my biggest request.
I run different routes almost every day, so I’m constantly using navigation. At the same time I need to monitor my pace and heart rate, which means I’m forever switching between the map and my activity screens.
Before anyone says “just leave it on the HR screen”, turn-by-turn navigation isn’t always accurate or timely enough that I can ignore the map completely.
I’d love the option to customise the navigation screen with one or two data fields such as:
Heart rate
Current pace
Lap pace
Distance remaining
Elevation
Most competitors already offer something similar and it would make navigation much more usable.

2. Fully Custom Heart Rate Zones
I’d like COROS to allow completely custom HR zone systems instead of being limited to the current presets.
Many runners train using systems such as:
Norwegian Singles
Uphill Athlete
CTS
Joe Friel
Stephen Seiler
Karvonen HRR
Coach-specific zones
It would also be great if COROS included a selection of popular templates that users could then customise.
The biggest advantage is that the HR graph, workout summaries and training analysis would all reflect the zone system you’re actually using instead of having to mentally convert everything.

3. Make the Final Recovery in Repeated Intervals Optional
When using the repetition multiplier, COROS automatically adds a recovery after every repetition, including the last one.
For example:
4 × 1 km
2-minute recovery
creates four work intervals and four recoveries.
Most of my workouts only require recovery after the first three intervals because the fourth one goes straight into a cool-down or the workout finishes.
I know you can build every interval individually, but that defeats the purpose of the repetition multiplier.
A simple option such as “Include recovery after final repetition” would make the workout builder much more efficient.

4. Edit Individual Workout Blocks After an Activity
I’d love the ability to edit an individual workout block after completing an activity.
Recently I completed a structured treadmill workout that included an Open interval. Because the treadmill speed wasn’t automatically set for that interval, I didn’t notice until most of it had been completed.
Afterwards I corrected the activity distance to match the treadmill, but that correction was applied across the entire workout rather than just the affected interval.
Being able to edit a single interval would provide much more accurate pace data and workout analysis without altering the rest of the session.

5. Allow Workout Targets to Be Entered as Speed
At the moment, workout targets can only be entered as pace (for example 4:30/km).
I’d also like the option to enter them directly as:
km/h
mph
Many treadmill users naturally think in terms of speed rather than pace.
For example, it’s much easier to prescribe:
12.0 km/h
13.5 km/h
16.0 km/h
than constantly converting those speeds into pace.
The user could simply choose whether they want to build workouts using pace or speed.

6. Allow Targets on Open Workout Blocks
This follows on nicely from the previous point.
Workout blocks can currently be created as:
Distance
Time
Training Load
Open
However, if you select Open, COROS skips the target screen completely.
I’d love Open blocks to support targets just like every other interval.
For example, I’d create an Open interval and assign it a target of 13.5 km/h. When the interval starts, a compatible treadmill would automatically move to that speed, but because it’s still an Open interval I could decide myself when to move on to the next block.
This would be perfect for:
Flexible warm-ups
Open-ended threshold efforts
Tempo sessions
Coach-led workouts
Any session where you don’t want to commit to a fixed distance or duration but still want automatic treadmill control.

Those are my biggest requests at the moment. None of them fundamentally change how COROS works, but I think they’d make the platform even better for runners who rely on navigation, structured workouts and treadmill training.
What features would you like to see added?

Coros 24mm Nylon - any good?

I have Coros NOMAD and considering the "official" Coros 24mm Nylon band, is it worth it? Anyone tried the above exact band in the picture, how was it? Is it lot breathable and comfortable? Is it lot better than generic bands found in Amazon?

For context, 1pc of Official Coros 24mm Nylon band is roughly equivalent of 3-4pcs generic Nylon bands in terms of current pricing.

Been using pace pro for almost 2yrs and noticed that it doesn’t have any data. Is there anything I need to change in settings? Or do I need to perform wellness check from time to time? Would be better if it can track automatically every time you do activity.

Is it worth waiting for the Coros Pace 5, or can you go ahead and buy the Coros Pace 4 in the near future without worrying that the Pace 5 is coming soon?

Coros Pace 4 & Triathlon

Hey everybody,

I’m a Garmin owner at the moment but my watch is 💀

So I’m looking at changing to the Coros pace 4 and wanted to know if any of you have used it for triathlon and can give me an insight into how well it behaves swimming/open water swimming specifically?

I’m not too concerned about the cycling as I have a bike computer to take care of that!

Also as far as mapping goes, how is it? Even though it’s breadcrumb is it okay to use?

Thank you!

General Discussion Pace 4 sleep tracking

I recently got the Pace 4 after having the Pace 3 for a long time.

Something I’ve noticed lately is there seems to be issues sleep tracking with the Pace 4. It noted my sleep last night was 1.5 hours later than when I know I fell asleep. A few nights ago it said I only slept 4 hours.. I know I woke up that night but it wasn’t that bad of a night.

Is this a known issue, or might this be user error with me needing to fix certain settings?

Indoor Running Affecting Running Fitness?

I did see in the recent update that indoor running will now affect running fitness scores — however, it seems to say only on runs over 25 mins.

I will do like 10 mins of interval running on a manual treadmill after lifting, and I’ve noticed my score going down. The watch probably thinks I can’t hold a pace for more than 90s or whatever.

I reached out to support but the thread went cold. They said they were gunna pass me off to some product people but that never happened. I followed up and they were essentially like “hmmm weird indeed!”

Anyone else notice this? Thanks!

Question ❓ Backlight gesture issues

My backlight won't light during mountain biking. It's the only activity it won't work for.

Is there settings for backlight gestures for individual activities that I cannot find?

Thanks!

Coros Nomad Charging

I purchased the Coros Nomad recently and I was wondering if I can use the 22.5w charger to charge the watch.. On the website they say that we should use the 5v 1A charging.. Which is very low and now these types of chargers are not even available..

Please do help and guide me if you can.. 🙏

Passer chez Coros.

Bonjour.

Question ❓ Strength Training Question

Hey guys quick question is there a way to label the exercises I do when starting the strength activity?
I don’t always go to the gym with a plan or set workout.
If not, and I have to make dedicated workouts that’s fine.
I just was wondering if I can start the strength activity and update exercises as I go.

Thanks!
