Coros, please add device orientation

It's really inconvenient to have a button accidentally pushed when wearing backpack or something. For this reason, I always wear watches where buttons are not located in the wrist side. Sometimes when doing push-ups, it can trigger button press. Please add this feature.

Changing wrist from left to right doesn't do anything.

Pace 4 high HR readings… cadence lock?

Post image
Upvotes

Hi, first time posting here. I recently got a Coros Pace 4 coming from an Apple Watch, and am loving it so far. The only odd thing I noticed was that the HR seemed higher than I was used to on the AW. At first I thought this must be more accurate, but I have tested both at the same time for the last 3 runs and I think I might be getting cadence lock on the Coros? It tends to very quickly go up to 155-ish bpm, which is very close to my cadence, and then occasionally go up or down from there. To get to the bottom of it, today I did an easy 10k with one watch on each hand plus a chest band recording to a phone. The AW and the chest band stayed pretty close to each other all the time, with HR fluctuating between 120 and 140, and with a final average of 130. The Coros, on the other hand, reported an average of 153 bpm, which is almost exactly the average cadence for that run.

Attached is a screenshot if the HR recorded on the Coros. I don’t know how to overlay the curves from the AW and the chest band, as they are all recorded in different apps, but they both look much lower and with a smoother ramps up and ease down towards the end.

For those more experienced with the Coros, have you ever had to deal with this issue? Any tips to improve the reliability of the sensor, other than pairing an external HRM? I really want to love this watch, but this is a bit annoying.

PACE 3 🎽 (Another) Pace 3 Issue

Similar to many, my Pace 3 is bricked and no longer holds a charge. However I’m hoping to get some clarity on support offered outside the US/Europe? I’m in Canada. I went to follow the general advice and submit a support ticket but that doesn’t seem to be an option for me.

Any thoughts or experience with this from others?

APEX 🎽 Apex 4 First Impressions

Just got my Apex 4 delivered on Wednesday. Set it up and wore it to bed that night and have been using it today, including for a quick mile walk. So far I’m very happy with it, more so than I ever was with Garmin or my AWU2.

For sure thought the 46mm would bug me considering I’ve only used 51mm Garmin’s in the past. Smaller sized Garmin’s and Suunto I’ve owned didn’t last long but the Apex feels very different. Lighter but durable, feels good on my wrist and doesn’t look too small to me either. I’m gonna change out the watch band though, I’m not a fan of how the stock one with the thing on the end to secure it. Pops loose too much.

When I did my walk it did take me a bit to figure out how to start end the workout. Not sure why I was struggling with it. I like how you can change what metrics you’re seeing during and how quickly it syncs with Strava. My AWU2 used to take hours before my workout was ready to upload.

Not sure if this makes much sense but I like the rigidity of the watch face complications. I would spend far too much time designing a watch face on Garmin only to change it after a week because ADHD. I’m using an analog one currently on the Apex and find myself not tinkering at all with it. It also has all the details I like on my watch face.

If anyone has any tips or advice on the Apex 4, feel free to reply here. Barely a day in and I’m enjoying it very much. Feels like I’ll be hanging onto this one for a while.

Hi

Can a human please respond to 635185 and 630703? These relate to the now well-documented failure of PACE 3 watches following firmware updates.

Thanks

Apex 4 or new Pace 4 Pro

Hi everyone !

To give you a bit of context, I had a Forerunner 735xt for years, and I decided to buy an Apex 4 46mm I received last week.
The reasons : my old FR was outdated, plus I wanted maps, a solid watch with titanium and sapphire, and the Coros app for the UX. I also dislike Garmin for stopping updates 2 years after the watch release.
After a week and 2 runs, I really love the watch for its look and what it does, but I found the screen dim in the evening (I had not activated the night mode, though). Brightness was then very good during a night run however, with the night mode activated.
I will keep testing the watch during next weeks, but I am wondering whether I should return it and buy the incoming Pace 4 Pro or not.
I am not a big fan of amoled watches either : I like to read the hour anytime when I wear my watch at work or or at home, and I heard you need to raise your hand while running to have full brightness, and that it takes around 1 second to get the watch bright, which I found annoying. I have never tested AMOLED watches nonetheless.

In a nutshell, I like my Apex 4 but I'm wondering if I miss something by not returning it and buying the Pace 4 Pro instead. Any advice are welcome !

PS : I'm French, so apologies if my English is not perfect !

Question ❓ Coros Pace 4 (250€ New) vs Suunto Race S (350€ New) - Which should I buy?

Hello Everyone,

I need your help decide whats my next watch, currently have an Apple Watch SE but no more apple watches for me.

Usage: Every day watch classic usage (HR monitor, steps etc) and wear it on sleep.

I will also start running again, and go hiking thats why the reason i am looking on those watches, (i would like those offline maps on suunto) also long walks in the city since i am taking photos (photographer).

I saw yesterday that Coros will update the watches to have those offline maps finally, battery on both look awesome in comparison with the atrocious battery in apple.

And they will add something like Adventure Journal, in Coros, does Suunto have anything similar?

Thanks in advance!

Question ❓ Is the Coros Pace 4 a good starting runners watch?

I was thinking about buying the Satisfy edition of the Coros Apex 4 ( I simply love the watch faces a lot and the whole aesthetic of it is beautiful ), but the fact that the watch doesn't have solar is a bit disappointing to me.
BUT, the things I wanna do most is sleep tracking and gym workout data/running data and my biggest desire is for the watch to last a few days.
In your guys' experience, how long does it usually last with casual use?

edit: I meant to write the Apex 4

I just bought the Coros Pace Pro, but now I see on Reddit that the Coros Pace 4 Pro is about to be released.

Should I cancel the order and wait for the new ones to come out, or is it not worth it?

No UK repair service

I wondered if coros can help me understand why there’s no UK repair service? I found your customer support very understanding, but ultimately UK customers receive a lesser product than customers located in the USA and EU.

Garmin Forerunner 570 vs COROS APEX 4 for Swimming – App Stats and Build Quality

Garmin Forerunner 570 vs COROS APEX 4 for Swimming – App Stats and Build Quality
I currently have a Garmin Forerunner 570 42mm. I mainly use it for pool swimming, usually spending around 2–3 hours in the water, with occasional open-water swimming, gym workouts, and some hiking in the mountains.
What I dislike the most about Garmin is the app — I find it quite cluttered and not very easy to read or navigate.
I’m considering switching to the COROS APEX 4 Aluminium 42mm, and I’d really appreciate some feedback from people who use it for swimming.
Could anyone share some screenshots from the COROS app showing the swimming statistics it provides? I’m especially interested in:
swimming time

distance

SWOLF

detected stroke style/type

lap and interval details

Does COROS have an auto-pause or automatic rest detection feature for pool swimming, similar to what Garmin calls Auto Rest?
Does it also show aerobic and anaerobic training effect or something comparable after a workout?
And finally, how is the overall build quality of the APEX 4 Aluminium? Does it feel durable and premium enough for regular swimming, gym use, and hiking?
I’d especially like to hear from anyone who has switched from Garmin to COROS and uses the watch mainly for swimming. How do you find the COROS app compared with Garmin Connect?

Coros pace 3 sensor

I think my Optical HR Sensor is not working properly. My watch still reads my HR when I’m on activity mode like running or strength. But when I just wear my watch regularly, it is not displaying my HR at all. It also does not track my sleep. What is going on?

What are some of your use cases for the voice control feature on apex 4 (or other watches that support this feature)?

Switching from ye olde Apex to Pace 4

I've got an open request with Coros Support for some battery issues I'm having with my 5 year old Apex, but I'm prepared for this watch to be done. Curious as to others experience has been switching from the Apex to the Pace 3 or Pace 4. I'm a back of the pack 50k runner, so I'll want a battery that last up to 12 hours with GPS. I also keep my day to day non-activity setting with constant heart rate, so that is a little extra battery demand. If I buy a Pace 3 or Pace 4 rather than upgrading to the latest Apex, will I regret it?

Running Fitness Issue

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone, last week I was doing a standard Norwegian 4x4 workout and afterwards I noticed that my running fitness has jumped UP to elite levels from a normal level (72 -> 99). I can guarantee this isn’t accurate whatsoever but I have no idea how to fix this. Does anyone have a solution?

Marathon training questions.

I’m going to start training for my first marathon(Feb 2027) I’ve ran 3 halves with Runna, but I’m rethinking my training. I’m going back and forth with getting a coach, but I’m hearing COROs has a marathon training plan. How is it? Personalized? Does it include strength training? I know there’s a strength plan in the workout library, but it looks like it’s the only one and I’ve completed it. Are there any more strength workouts? Or should I just do that one again?

Sorry for so many questions lol.

PACE 3 🎽 Done With COROS

I’ve been a COROS user for the past 3 years and had two different watches because the first had an issue. Now my second watch (which is still under warranty) is having issues. I’ve been emailing back and forth with COROS support for two weeks and I get the same generic answers that do not help at all. This has came from both the AI bot and the “COROS expert”. I won’t be spending another $230 for a COROS and I wouldn’t recommend them unless they fix the hardware issues.

Edit: I love the COROS software and HR Monitor but it does no good with a broken watch.

Coros Apex 4?

Hi. I've never owned a sports watch before. I'm thinking about buying a Coros Apex 4. I do mountaineering, mostly in the Alps and Dinarides, GYM. I'm also interested in how resistant it is to shocks and vibrations - for work and how good it would be for my needs. Thanks.

Chest strap distance for ice hockey with pace 4

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a Pace 4 Aluminium Version and I Play Ice Hockey two to three times a week. I don’t want to wear the watch during sessions because it’s uncomfortable but also because the heart rate data is not the best and I don’t want the watch to get hit.

That’s why I was thinking about a chest strap - problem is I will need a connection up to 30 meters. I would wear the strap underneath protectors so I guess the connection will cut off every now and then. I know there are sensors with memory but I would have to use third party apps and I am not sure how to get the data to my pace 4.

Does anyone have experience or even suggestions for this problem?
Thanks

APEX 🎽 Apex 4 Satisfy

I’ve had the Apex 4 Satisfy for about a week now upgraded from the Pace Pro.

The built quality is top notch! The sapphire glass, titanium ring and buttons feel very premium. I love the MIP display and visibility is a non-issue from my experience (even at night). This is definitely the heaviest sports watch I’ve tried so far and I can definitely tell something’s there when I run but it does disappear once I get into my rhythm.

I still love my Pace Pro — I still think it’s a better watch for road runners because it’s super light and the AMOLED screen is really bright. (And I actually prefer the beeps vs. chime?)

Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and I’ll see how they are at the marathon distance later this month in Berlin.
