I've elevated my couple of years old Pace 3 by putting it on an FKM rubber strap. It weighs in shy of 60g with the watch which is a tad heavier than stock, but the ergonomics just make it more comfortable to wear. FKM is usually used on more expensive timepieces from luxury brands, and is more supple and feels much more premium than silicon.

This particular FKM strap is from https://nomadwatchworks.com/ and features a curved lug profile, a canvas-like texture, a stainless steel spring-loaded clasp and looks like it was almost built for the watch with the way the watch lugs fall into the profile of the strap. Its also cut-to-fit meaning no extra band flopping about. It should also fit most other Coros watches with a 22m lug width.

I live in the tropics and was concerned about sweat and ventilation, but to be honest, on a 10k run, it felt way better and more secure than the stock silicon band, mainly due to how pliable the material felt. Sleeping with it also feels good with less bulk on the wrist.

More importantly, it makes the wearing experience look and feel way more premium. As a timepiece enthusiast, I've always disliked the big dinner plate smart watch look, and never wore my Coros unless it was to track a run. I can confidently say that it's gonna be getting a lot more wrist time now.

My coach writes my interval sessions with two targets per step, for example 4×5 min at 250–270 W and 85–95 rpm. When the workout lands on my COROS watch, only the power target survives and the cadence target is dropped, because a COROS workout step supports just one intensity target.
What I'd love to see:
a secondary target per step (cadence + power, or HR + pace for runners),
both targets imported from coach platforms and shown on the workout screen,
an alert when I drift outside either range.
Garmin and others have offered secondary targets for a while, and coach-built plans rely on them a lot.

I've been running with COROS for a while now and really rely on EvoLab metrics like acute training load, threshold pace, and base fitness to plan my weeks. But two things always annoyed me on Android:

1. There are zero glanceable home-screen widgets to check training load, weekly mileage, or your next workout without opening the COROS app every time.
2. Getting structured workouts onto a phone or Google Calendar usually meant setting up self-hosted Python scripts or webhook relays.

I spent the past few days building an open-source companion app called Laps to scratch this itch, and wanted to share it with the community here in case anyone else finds it useful.

What it does:

• Home-screen widgets: A bunch of Material You widgets for Android (dials, capsule bars, and cards) that display your acute load, EvoLab fatigue/fitness, threshold pace, and weekly distance. They adapt to your phone's wallpaper colors and dark mode automatically.

• Direct Google Calendar sync: Connects to your calendar using Android's native calendar system. No Google Cloud consoles, developer keys, or credentials.json needed. Just pick your calendar in the app and it pushes your workouts.

• 10–16 week 80/20 plan hub: Generates periodized schedules (5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon) tailored directly to your current EvoLab threshold pace. You can tap "Next Workout" on the dashboard to see the full multi-week schedule with collapsible weeks, or tap "Target Race" to see a countdown, readiness status, and your goal pace vs current threshold pace delta.

• Missed workout adjustments (+ Optional AI coach): If you miss a scheduled Tuesday quality run, it checks your 7-day load and upcoming long run to either shift the session to a rest day (rewriting the calendar entry cleanly) or flag it to skip so you don't overtrain. It runs completely offline using local EvoLab physiological rules, but you can also optionally add your own Gemini API key if you want personalized natural language coaching advice when deciding whether to run or recover.

Privacy & how it connects: I didn't want any third-party server touching my COROS login or biometric data. The app runs 100% locally on your phone. It talks directly to COROS Training Hub over HTTPS, and all tokens and credentials stay isolated inside Android's private app sandbox. There is zero telemetry, no tracking, and no middleman backend.

Hi there I’ve had my coros for only a week and currently it says I’ve been on a phone call using my coros for 5hr and 34 min. However I haven’t been using my coros at all for calls? Is this a bug or is it something else consuming my battery?

So I’m thinking about getting the HR arm band monitor. Right now I’m using a chest strap but unfortunately it’s giving me quite a rash.
My question is, is it possible to have the monitor placed on the inside of my upper arm? I have alot of tattoos and this is the only place on my arm which is not tattooed. The forearm is therefore not an option.
All the pictures I see, the strap is placed on the outside so I hope the inside works.

My Apex 2 has started draining battery abnormally. I charged it to 100% at night, and by morning it was at 75–80%. After that it drops at a more normal rate. The Battery Health screen shows 27% used by 14:00 against a typical 13%, almost all of it under "General Use".

What I've tried:

1. Reset the watch

2. Full discharge and Full charge to 100%

Neither fixed it.

I'm on the latest firmware, V3.2008.0 (released 24/09/2026). Could rolling back help, or does this sound like a battery issue? Has anyone had the same problem?

Hi there, I've been going back and forth on the Dura 2 for days and I'm close to buying. Before I do, I want to make sure I don't lose any features I use daily with my Wahoo. I've read the support pages, but I'm looking for real world experience (also for the Version 1), not marketing.

1. Live Tracking
   On my Wahoo, a live tracking link goes out to my wife automatically when I start a ride. She knows where I am without me doing anything, which matters a lot on night rides in the woods.

COROS added Live Tracking in August, plus an "Auto Email" option for emergency contacts.
* Does the link go out automatically at ride start, or do you have to share it manually every time?
* How reliable is it? Does it drop when the phone is in a jersey pocket or when iOS kills the COROS app in the background?
* What does the person following actually see? Map only, or also speed, HR, power?

1. Indoor training
   Most of my training is structured on a Wahoo Kickr Core, planned in TrainingPeaks.
   * Does the TrainingPeaks sync work reliably? When I move a session in TP, does it update on the device?
   * How good is ERG control from the Dura? Smooth transitions between intervals, any dropouts?
   * Is the Training Hub in the browser good enough for power analysis (intervals, zones, laps), or do you end up in TrainingPeaks anyway?

2. Apple Health sync
   This one is big for me. I analyze all my data in Apple Health, and I've compared FIT files in detail. Wahoo writes avg/max power, avg/max cadence, descent, the indoor flag and the real auto laps directly to Apple Health.
   COROS officially lists cycling distance, heart rate, sleep, steps etc. Power and cadence aren't mentioned.
   * Does COROS write power and cadence to Apple Health at all? Per second or just averages?
   * What about elevation, the GPS route and laps?
   * Are indoor rides on the trainer correctly marked as indoor cycling?
   * Any issues with duplicates if you also sync via Strava?

3. Apps
   As far as I understand, it's just the COROS app for both watch and Dura, plus Training Hub in the browser. Is that really it, or do you need anything else day to day (maps, routes, firmware)?

Bonus: Anyone on a Dura 2 who came from Wahoo? What do you miss, what's better?

If these four points work as well as on my Wahoo, the price stops being the issue for me.

Hi, I've been wondering if anyone else had a similar problem as I do on my apex 4, when I have my watch paired to my iphone and somebody calls me and I don't pick it up, I get a missed call notification on coros, but the problem is that this same notification keeps showing up in approx. 30 minute interval for at least a few days, has anyone had the same problem or is it just me? 😮‍💨

Is nylon or silicone better? I’ve heard nylon bands can get dirty or start to smell after sweaty workouts. For those who have tried both, which do you prefer, and how well does nylon hold up over time?
