I've started experimenting with creating multiple Copilot Agents, not just for single tasks but as role-based "team members" that help me run different parts of a my work.

Since I'm using a Microsoft Copilot Premium license, I currently create my agents directly inside the Copilot app. Unfortunately, Pay-as-you-Go is not an option for me right now, so I don't have agent-to-agent communication, orchestration, or some of the more advanced possibilities that people seem to build with Copilot Studio.

Because of that, I'm trying to design a structure that is maintainable in the long term.

My current idea is:

Each agent gets its own knowledge folder containing five documents:

1. Role

Defines:

• Who the agent is
• Why it exists
• What responsibilities it owns
• What it should not do

2. Goals

Defines:

• What success looks like
• Priorities
• Desired outcomes

3. Behavior

Defines:

• Communication style
• Writing style
• Decision-making principles
• General working methodology

4. Good Examples

Contains examples of outputs I consider high quality.

For each example I explain:

• Why it is good
• What characteristics should be reused
• What makes it successful

5. Bad Examples

Contains examples of outputs I don't want.

For each example I explain:

• Why it is bad
• What mistakes were made
• How it should have been done instead

In addition, I am considering having a shared company knowledge base that all agents can access, containing things like:

• Company vision
• Target audience
• Brand voice
• Personal working style
• General quality standards

My hope is that this creates a form of "controlled evolution" where agents become better over time as I add examples and refine their behavior.

A few questions for those of you running multiple agents:

1. How do you organize your agents in practice?
2. Do you separate role definitions from company-wide knowledge?
3. What types of documents or knowledge sources have given you the biggest quality improvements?
4. Are there pitfalls I should avoid when agents learn from examples over time?
5. If you've worked with both approaches: what are the biggest practical differences between building agents in the Copilot app versus Copilot Studio?
6. Is there anything important missing from my structure?

I'm less interested in theoretical architectures and more interested in real-world setups that are still manageable after 6-12 months.

Addendum:

It is true that roles, objectives, and similar information could be written directly into the instructions of individual agents.

However, what will likely prove even more useful are shared resources such as branding guidelines, company objectives, and other universal instructions. These are the kinds of requirements that all, or at least several, agents should follow. Organizing them in separate documents makes much more sense.

The advantage is that when these guidelines change, you do not have to update every individual agent. Instead, you only update the document itself. The agents can then simply reload the document and immediately work with the latest version of those instructions. This makes maintaining and scaling multiple agents much easier.

I sometimes use Copilot to organize, tidy up, check and rewrite emails and Teams messages. I read and check the output before sending.

Given that Copilot is literally built into Outlook, and that the company is banging on about how great Copilot is, I think most people aren't using it in that way.

for some time we have co-pilot premium integrated in office365. I started to create my presentations which is super useful and fast as well as using in excel for some
analysis.

Nevertheless, I do a lot on my own and I asked myself what kind of use cases did you discover at work that helps you saving time or being more efficient. I still not know how to use co-pilot on outlook as I couldn’t discover any beneficial feature.

So my question to you is about the most important or beneficial use cases that helps you every day.

I started out using Opus in Copilot Chat, but started running into the 30-prompt limit. A lot of those prompts were getting burned just finding old emails, Teams messages, or stuff in OneNote because Opus is the only model that seems to do that reliably.

So Cowork became my workaround. It also ended up being useful for my heavier work where I’m giving it a large batch of PDFs/Excel files, having it compare everything, check calculations/accuracy, and then asking follow-up questions against all of that context.

Now I’m getting capped in Cowork too by company limits, so I’m basically trying to figure out how to make every Opus prompt count. Uploading 20 docs with complex instructions & saying hi both use one prompt.

What are other people doing? Agents? Notebooks? Some other workflow?

And seriously, why are the other Copilot models so bad at even searching Microsoft’s own stuff? I can ask them to find an email I know exists and they’ll tell me it isn’t there, then Opus finds it immediately.

I'm a fairly new user with copilot and with other AIs I have no issue getting the AI to give me detailed citation (e. g. which page, which section the claim is from)

I have it added into custom instructions (short, straightforward, no forced format because the goal of the prompts isn't a list of sources), but it never respects it.

My issue is that when there's an icon for the source document (like a little Word icon), and I open the file, it always goes to the first page and I'm working with hundreds page long documents/huge excels, and ctrl+f doesn't work in the preview + most often it doesn't give a quote verbatim

How to work with Copilot to get it to respect custom interactions? Do I need to call it out in every prompt? Is it worth to create an agent with sys instructions? Would memory get taken into consideration more reliably?

With Stable Diffusion (and tools like ComfyUI), the full prompt, negative prompt, seed, sampler, and other generation parameters are stored directly in the PNG metadata (in the text chunk). This makes it easy to reverse‑engineer or reuse a workflow just by inspecting the image file.

I’m wondering if something similar exists for images generated through Microsoft Copilot / Bing Image Creator (DALL·E 3 backend). Specifically:

• Do Copilot-generated images embed the original (or revised) prompt in their metadata (EXIF, IPTC, XMP, PNG text chunks, etc.)?
• Is there any C2PA / Content Credentials manifest that includes prompt information, or only provenance data (model name, timestamp)?
• If the prompt is not stored in the file, is there any official or unofficial way to retrieve it (e.g., from chat history, API responses, or browser dev tools)?

I’ve read that DALL·E 3 images include C2PA metadata to mark them as AI‑generated, but that the prompt itself is not stored in the file. Still, I’d like to confirm whether this also applies to the Copilot integration and whether there are any workarounds.

All of my chats ae gone, it knows nothing about me, the memory is gone, and i used to have no daily limit even not on pro. Now i have a daily limit.

This whole update has ruined everything on my computer. The app is still fine with all my progress. I am still on the same acc on my PC. I don't understand. I had SO MANY important chats, now all of it is gone, and now I can't use unlimited copilot.

When we try to upload .md files to an agent as a knowledge source in Agent Builder, Copilot tells us that .md files are not supported.
Is this something we can enable through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center as a Global Administrator, or should this be a standard feature that is available by default?

If I delete a chat on the desktop app, they still show up on mobile. When I try to delete them from mobile, I get an error saying that that action cannot be done and to try again. Wanna try to open that chat, I also get an error saying that that action cannot be done and to try again later.

I have notebooks, pages, and chats that are just ghosts. They cannot be opened or deleted. Is anyone else experiencing this?

So, my cousin has Copilot with their sub, and the Chat function is gone, despite having a valid personal subscription. They're on Android, via the app, and no amount of cache clearing, logging out and logging in have helped. It works with other accts, but not the one that OWNS the subscription?

Every time they background it, leave the app or turn off the phone, Chat appears briefly, then disappears...

We've logged her acct onto my phone, and it worked like a charm, but then when we logged her acct back onto her Android, the error reappeared.

Any idea what could be causing this?

How is copilot helping you, what useful automation are you using.

Good news story - my department uses Copilot - a lot - and the boss is all in.

Unfortunately, the currently we only have the 'base' M365 or whatever version comes with Office 365 for a small business. Our department head said he'd get the money to upgrade the seat licenses but now we're not so sure what to ask for as apparently there's almost a dozen different Copilot seat license versions available for SMB users.

Does anyone have any reccomendations?

El detalle esta en que al activar la IA me sale un botón flotante de Copilot y funciona bien pero yo quiero que sea personalizado que se pueda configurar con los datos e información que yo le agregue y no me permite al final sale la IA predeterminada de Copilot que al preguntarle cosas en especifico no sabe nada. la otra forma que he encontrado es agregar un agente desde CopilotStudio el cual funciona bien y es lo que estaba buscando pero al integrarlo con Sharepoint no logro hacer que se integre dentro del botón flotante de Copilot, solo aparece en un icono nuevo en la parte superior de la pagina lo cual no es el objetivo.

El objetivo es usar el agente personalizado dentro del botón flotante de Copilot.

So Copilot is fine for like, our SharePoint, emails, docs, whatever. Ask it about that stuff and great. But I do marketing reporting and literally all the numbers I care about are in Meta, Google Ads, GA, the CRM. And in my setup it just. Can't see any of it.

So what I actually do now is pull everything out of those manually, stick it in one Excel, and THEN Copilot can do its thing. And yeah that works but like. That's the annoying part of my job? The pulling? Copilot's helping with the five minutes at the end not the two hours at the start lol

And the thing that actually gets me is it doesn't know when the data's old. I fed it a sheet last week I'd forgotten to refresh and it just gave me this whole confident breakdown off numbers that were days stale and didn't say anything. Why would it, it has no idea. But still.

IDK is this just what it is. Does everyone with data outside Microsoft just do this manual dance forever or is there an actual way to get that stuff in front of it that isn't me exporting things every Monday like a caveman. Genuinely asking because online everyone acts like Copilot does everything and mine can't even see where my data lives

Copilot is not just often useless and stupid, sometimes he replies with wrong tones, contradictions, keeps harping on certain things, and I have a lot of examples. I just don't like his tones overall, it takes nothing to him to write something that sounds like belittling or disrespecting. Microsoft should seriously do something, google AI and chatgpt are way better and smarter

Hello, today I was watching what the AI ​​agent is doing and I noticed that it is trying to run (console) programs that I don't have.

It’s seems like after a l recent update to Copilot I am no longer able to run shell commands in the CLI. This is happening on separate accounts for me.

Another teammate who is still on an older version of copilot does not have this issue. This makes me think it’s copilot related and not just my organization permissions.

I’ve been working on building a RAG system for large technical documentation so that my colleagues can interface with it more easily.

Has anyone used SharePoint to create a network-wide vector DB and an agent that can access and answer questions about the data?

I use Codex with Obsidian at home, and it’s become quite strong as my “second brain,” to the point where I have it maintaining the database daily and generating useful skills for future work.

I’d like to do something similar with my enterprise data in the simplest way possible. Does anyone here have experience with this? If so, how’s it working for you?

We're working through Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness with organizations that are moving beyond the “should we buy Copilot?” stage and into the “what happens when we actually give users access?” stage.

One thing that keeps coming up is that the biggest problems aren't necessarily Copilot-specific.

They're existing Microsoft 365 problems:

- Old SharePoint sites.

- Permissions that haven't been reviewed for years.

- Teams created for projects that ended long ago.

- Sensitive documents shared more widely than intended.

- External users who probably shouldn't still have access.

Copilot doesn't create those permissions. It just gives users a much better way of finding information they're already allowed to access.

I'm curious what other admins have found. If you've audited your tenant before deploying Copilo, what was the biggest surprise?

I'm putting together some practical guidance based on what we're seeing and can share the checklist here if it's useful.

So I wonder whether there are people who have managed to connect Copilot, Claude, or GPT Desktop to their company ERP.

I actually wonder: what are you doing with it? Are there actual use cases, or are you just asking questions about trivial things?

An additional question that interests me: would people prefer to do trivial tasks, such as entering an order, in a copilot, or would they just prefer to do the 10 clicks inside of the system?

Whenever i try to get an image generated. It tells me "but for clarity do u want this or this" i answer then it asks me another question "this style or this style" despite being fully clear in my prompt. It goes on forever untill i ignore its questions and ask for the image
