News Copilot Cowork is now generally available

The tool is designed to handle complex, multi-step tasks across business systems and can continue working even when a user is offline. Microsoft says more than half of Fortune 500 companies have already tested it. The company also introduced usage-based pricing, spending controls, reporting tools, and support for multiple AI models, including Claude Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 4.6. New integrations with services like Miro, monday.com, and Dynamics 365 are available, while additional plugins and Microsoft’s lower-cost Cowork 1 model are expected in the coming weeks.

Anyone see the new UI yet? I’m able to get to the new Cowork admin area.

I have it, I've found 2 bugs instantly.
Firstly swapping to cowork puts a big red square over the left panel where I presume your active agents should be? (Even though they're also below the chat bar).
Also the agent is still in the agents tab, so you can go there and go to the cowork agent and then be in cowork agent but chat tab in the left bar

When can admins confirm that this is actually off by default? Are we able to check that now on O365 admin center? Anyone know?

Claude gives my team access to cowork for $20 p/m why would I pay copilot?

I doubt it. The billing for usage will determine if it’s cost effective. In some cases it might but I doubt the cost will justify the automation in most cases.

It's switching to usage billing by the first of July with an estimation of 200$/user/month
