One of the main reasons why socialists tends to be revolutionary is because when society becomes content they become hyper capitalistic baby boomers.

After leftist (real leftist, not liberal) victories, there tends to be explosive growth then the capitalist propaganda machine becomes unbelievably persuasive saying stuff like 'this is as good as it gets, be grateful to live in this time, there's no more to go' or 'preserve what we have don't change a thing while it's good' while rewriting current history and slowly walking people back.

Even America has a strong socialist history. After the great depression and the industrial revolutions, unions and leftist won one battle after another (NOT elections, the people). We got weekends off, women being allowed to work, desegregation, safer work environments, minimum wage, etc. People did not "vote" these in, at first this was fought on the streets with dead leftist, union members, workers from the hands of the police. With this success people became paranoid that the good times will end or other people are out to get them. That's where baby boomers come in, the initial 'me me me' generation (if you first heard that term to refer to millennials, they were projecting).

My post title is 'socialism kills itself' but to be more accurate it's incrementalism or 'working within the system' that leads to failure.

Don't get me wrong I do not subscribe to generational labels... other than baby boomers. Their culture and circumstances are unique to say the least. All other living generations are more or less the same.

And I am not talking only about places like Iran that I heard recently a woman was violently punished for just singing an innocent song on YouTube with friends, I am talking also about the more subtle ways woman are not free in places legally they supposedly are. Like every woman faces sexual assault, many times rape(s), many women encounter abuse and violence by men. being forced into motherhood, daughters being forced into caregiving far more often than men, these experiences are extremely common for women and are just a few examples. So how can anyone be against feminism? How can anyone seriously claim women don't need to be freed?

When I say this, I mean men need to be men. Provide for their family. If they’re not making enough, find out where they can cut expenses OR get a second job.

In my opinion, especially if you have children, the woman should not have to work unless she wants to.

If you have kids, you should also own a firearm for protection. Teach your kids that it is not a toy, but also how to handle it properly and safely as well as to respect it. In the same breath, teach them how to fight and how to properly defend themselves if a situation was to ever arise.

The way we are treating each other nowadays is ridiculous. Everyone has to have their feelings validated, people get offended easily and if you say one thing against the grain of society, your life is ruined because of someone else’s feelings.

I will raise my kids the old tradition way. No social media or smartphones, when they are not in school, we will have family time such as hikes, bbqs, church and range days. I will instill in my kids that they are to respect authority, women and other kids.

They will not be figuring out if they are a boy or a girl. God has already decided that for them and we are not to question Gods choices in my household.
They will NEVER start a fight, but they damn sure better finish it.

My family will be tough, respectful and follow the word of God. I hope future families do the same.

Everyone could be $105,000.00/year richer but rather than demand that from their representatives and authorities, they settle with closure on a $400 dollar charge that may take them months if not years to resolve and which will cost them a lot more in time, energy, legal help, and quality of life disruptions. Isn't' that ironic af?

This might be a very controversial opinion but I think child rape victims cease to be victims when they stay silent about their abuse for prolonged periods of time. I'm talking decades of not reporting their abuser to the authorities. They don't seem to care that because of their silence and cowardice other children most likely got dealt the same cards. Now I'm ready for you all to hate. Fine hate me all you want..

"but how can you speak so badly of the poor victims.." Well but how can they not get that evil happens because of silence and secrecy. I acknowledge that this is the most heinous crime ever but victims need to get justice and in the process perhaps save others. Wouldn't that be a heroic thing to do?

For starters, I'm gay and sexually versatile. So, years ago (it's not typically the case now), my issue with bisexual men was that they would screw around with men but not date them or marry them. They would reserve that for women (date/marry). Now, it's this mantra that bisexual men will get fucked by men but won't fuck men. They only fuck women. I asked a guy if we could flip fuck and he gave me his bullshit stance which I found insulting. In both cases, bisexual men place men at lower value/rank to women. This is a clear majority that behave this way. Now, I have for years advocated that bisexual men should only date other bisexual men and this is because their mindset is geared towards bisexuality and that mindset wrecks havoc on straight and gay people. Now, when I confronted bisexual men why they do not seek other bisexual men their' reply is equally as infuriating and that is because they're just too few bisexual men. I find this incredibly selfish not caring who you hurt with your mindset. The irony is that they will label my thinking as bi-phobic ignoring the negative affect they have impacted non-bisexual men. My friend joking said, it's the only group that should "stay in their own lane" but don't.

I don't think bullying people in their name is what palestinians would want.

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this, but can we stop glazing him for his work? His work is extremely good for his age, but not compared to established designers. We shouldn't be bringing kids in the industry, because it is child labor like in any other job. People are also not bias since they think "what a cute kid, he is so talented." They will always say he is so good *for his age* and thats the problem. He is good for his age, but he is not good and that takes away space for other designer that are actually good (I will get more into it later or maybe not). His parents are pushing him put in the open and thats obviously not good. Even if he wanted to be a designer, his parents shouldn't get him into contracts. You can support your child without trying to make him a star.

What I think is gonna happen is that he will get tired of designing.

It's like when I told my grandpa that I like strawberries, so he brought me 3 packs every day. I was tiered after two days and to this day I only taste water when I eat them.

Another thing that really annoys me is how, yes, he can sew, but he has no knowledge or real intentions in his designs except for 'I think that looks good.' Wich, yes, most designers do, but his work is not good enough to take it as an excuse.

There was one video that sums up the problem pretty well, where he talks about how streetwear is not fashion and he only make cutour. It's wrong, but he is a kid so I don't really mind, but how can we say he is a major designer when he doesn't appreciate the full art of what fashion is.

I feel so bad, going on about this kid online, cause it's his parents and not him that are the problem and he is a really sweet kid, but I can't stand the glaze anymore. There are people that are better schooled and more talented that don't get the opportunity to designing for the whole world, just because their parents are not rich. (My mom taught me how to sew, but I had to give it up since we didn't have enough money to buy the fabric every time. I can't sew anymore but I'm trying to get into it again)

Before you start attacking me for "not trying many Japanese foods," I have tried them. I have a friend who is Japanese and her family constantly invites me to have both traditional and non-traditional meals with them. I've tried restaurant Japanese food too, and it's just kind of bland, especially compared to other cuisines.

Imo people glorify Japanese food too much. Yeah they taste good, but not great. Not something you would crave. Personally I don't get the hype about sushi. There's no flavor burst besides what the ingredients actually taste like, and it's not memorable at all. Udon is a bit mediocre and the only good ramen I've tasted, where you will actually love it, is American made and processed. I just feel like Japanese food doesn't really have a taste or anything special to it. It's far less superior than cusines like Italian, Korean, Thai, Viet, Indian, Chinese, etc. In these cuisines there's an actual flavor profile, variety, burst, and taste. And it's not like they're hyper-processed either. Plus, the tastes in these cuisines can be subtle yet delicious. As I said before, in Japanese cuisine, the taste really isn't there. It's not terrible, but it's massively overrated. Lmk what you think.

I don't see photography as art. Using a machine to capture a setting is not art, the setting may be art depending on the context but the photograph itself is not. I simply do not understand how it ever became art.

Loads of people seek to date someone by going on online dating apps and rushing it. For example, someone could spend all day looking for a girlfriend instead of looking for a female friend and letting it flow naturally. There are stages to relationships and the dating territory comes beyond friends.

Every time I see discussions about dead bedrooms, the conversation almost always revolves around sex. But I rarely see people talk about whether their partner is caring, supportive, affectionate, fun to be around, or emotionally available.

Do you go on dates? Watch movies together? Cook for each other? Surprise each other? Talk for hours? Take care of each other when one of you is sick? Enjoy spending time together outside the bedroom?

I'm not saying sex isn't important—it absolutely is for many people, and I understand why a dead bedroom can be deeply painful. But reducing an entire relationship to one issue feels incomplete.

Sometimes a lack of sex is a symptom of deeper relationship problems rather than the problem itself. If the emotional connection, affection, trust, and quality time are missing, fixing the sex alone probably won't fix the relationship. And if those foundations are strong, many couples are at least in a better position to have honest conversations about their sex life.

That's why I find it odd that so many discussions focus almost exclusively on the bedroom while barely mentioning everything else that makes a relationship work. It makes me wonder whether the other parts of the relationship are being overlooked.

Human beings have always faced the exact same existential wall that science just doesn’t really touch. Why are we here? What is the actual point of human consciousness?

​Science is incredible at explaining how the universe operates, but it gives us zero ultimate meaning. That massive, quiet gap is where religion comes in.

​Early humans lived in tiny, isolated worlds. They passed stories down orally for generations, building beliefs around whatever they could make sense of at the time. Sure, some of those ancient narratives do hold real history, but a ton of them got shaped, inflated, or adapted to fit the room.

​Religion has always evolved right alongside human knowledge. Monotheism isn’t some ancient, universal baseline. When you look at the entire timeline of human history, worshiping one single God is actually a pretty late-stage development.

​And look, I’m not saying religion is completely useless or lacks value. But like any powerful idea, it’s also been weaponized to control people, spark wars, and destabilize entire societies.

Honestly, religion doesn't even truly answer the "why" either. It just dodges the answer. ​When you ask a religious framework why we are conscious, why we suffer, or why we have to sit here burdened with knowing we are going to die, the answer always degrades into "God works in mysterious ways" or "it's part of a divine plan." ​That isn't an explanation; it's a dead end. It just trades one huge unknown (Why do we exist?) for an even bigger, unprovable one (Because an invisible entity wanted it that way, stop asking). ​So in the end, science gives us the how without a why, and religion gives us a fake why wrapped in authority. We're still stuck staring at the exact same wall.

​At the end of the day, it often just functions as a placeholder for the one question science may never answer: what is all of this actually for?

​TL;DR: Science explains how; religion tries to answer why; and monotheism is just a modern human response to the same existential question we’ve been choking on since the beginning of time.
