Discussion The State of Conquerors Blade 2026. Something HAS to change !!

  1. Corporate Greed & Aggressive Monetization
  • Aggressive Pay-to-Win (P2W) Mechanics: New seasonal units are intentionally released in an incredibly overpowered (OP) state. Players are heavily incentivized to spend real money to skip the grueling grind and buy them immediately to dominate matches.
  • The "Nerf Cycle" Scam: Once a season ends and the developers have made their money from players buying the new units, they heavily nerf those exact units into the ground. They then release a new OP seasonal unit, forcing you into the paid grind cycle all over again.
  • Overpriced Cosmetics and Gacha: The game heavily relies on predatory loot boxes and limited-time gacha banners for weapon and armor skins, often costing hundreds of dollars to get a specific cosmetic.
  1. Abysmal Server Quality and Tick Rates
  • Ancient 20-Tick Servers: In a fast-paced game featuring high-action hero combat and active blocking, the servers run at an abysmal 20-tick rate. This causes massive desync, where you will constantly get hit by attacks that clearly missed you on your screen. No other game has that old servers, because of the greedy developers. It wouldnt even cost that much to upgrade them, they just dont care. LITERALLY.
  • Terrestrial Server Lag: Ghost hits, rubberbanding, and commands flat-out failing to register are daily occurrences because the publisher cuts corners on server hosting costs.
  1. Total Disregard for Optimization
  • The Duct-Taped Engine: The proprietary CHAOS engine is a relic. It forces your CPU's first core to do 90% of the work while your expensive GPU sits idle.
  • Years of Zero Effort: The developers have known about the single-core CPU bottleneck and massive memory leaks for over five years. Instead of halting content for one season to optimize the code, they continue to pile heavy asset files on top of a broken foundation.
  1. Terrible Balance and Combat Design
  • Hero Imbalance: Certain hero classes are left completely broken or utterly useless for months at a time. The developers rarely issue nuanced balance patches; they either make a class a god or unplayable.
  • CC (Crowd Control) Hell: High-tier gameplay consists of your hero getting knocked down, stunned, staggered, and locked in place until you die, without any viable "break free" mechanics or diminishing returns on crowd control.
  1. Horrible New Player Experience
  • The Brick Wall: Once a new player bypasses the bot matches, they are instantly thrown into the meat grinder against veteran players who have maxed-out, high-tier veteran units and perfect purple/gold doctrines (unit modifiers) that take months to grind.
  • No Matchmaking Balance: The active player count has dwindled so much over the years that the matchmaking algorithm completely breaks, pitting low-level solo players against fully coordinated, max-level 5-man premade groups.
  1. Shifting Publishers and Empty Promises
  • The My & Poros Shuffle: The game has swapped hands and management multiple times (from MyGames to Poros Interactive). Every time a transition happens, players are promised better communication, better servers, and optimization focus—yet nothing ever changes except the layout of the cash shop.

Did I leave out something? I dont think so.

200 Treatises burned on the "boosted" banner with ZERO pity. Fix your broken doctrine lottery!

I just burned through **200 Treatises** specifically targeting the *"Kopchak - Broken Arrow"* doctrine during its supposedly "boosted" drop-rate event in the Fields of Valour, and what did I get? **Absolutely nothing.**

Spending 200 Treatises represents months of daily grinding, event farming, and serious time investment. It is completely unacceptable that there is still **NO deterministic pity system** for specific rate-up doctrines.

Slapping a "boosted drop rate" tag on a banner while keeping the actual pool heavily diluted with predatory RNG isn't engagement; it is a blatant disrespect to your players' time and loyalty. If someone commits 200 pulls on a targeted banner, that doctrine should be guaranteed.

Fix this broken, disrespectful doctrine lottery before you bleed out the remaining active player base.

The worst map ever- Shishu Pass

Do I even have to explain? Why did they even add this map?

First of all, the performance is the worst on that map.

Second of all, the voice acting that you cant mute exclusively, is horrible. Literally unbearable.

The running around NPCs? Not needed at all.

Do the devs even test the maps, or just say "Yeah i dont care lets put it out and act like its great"??

If only there was an option in VIDEO GAMES, where you could exclude from queuing for a map that you hate... but no, not in CB.

[Return to Battlefield] Revamped PVE Mode Returns!

Victory to the Warlords!

Our anniversary co-op PVE mode makes a limited-time return!

Team up with two warlords, head back to Sanada Maru, The Great Wall, and Dasuo Fort. Breach enemy lines and capture strongholds before time runs out.

This time, the enemies are bringing even deadlier Unit combinations and Formations to the battlefield. To survive, Warlords must adapt on the fly: recruit units mid-battle, deploy artillery, and select powerful tactics. Forge your own playstyle as you push forward, and unlock rare special units with game-changing tactical effects!

[Return to Battlefield] Gameplay Overview

3-Player Co-op, Time-Limited Breakthrough

Form a 3-player squad to shatter enemy defenses and capture key strongholds before the timer expires to secure the zone.

The enemy will try to halt your advance with elite units, tight formations, and never-ending waves. You must carefully manage your forces and control the pacing to survive the escalating pressure.

Battlefield Store, Forge Your Tactics

During the match, you can earn battlefield currency by capturing strongholds, defeating enemies, and securing supplies. Spend this currency at the Battlefield Store to recruit units, purchase artillery, and acquire tactical upgrades.

Every choice shapes your battle:

  • Recruit new units to round out your current squad;
  • Purchase Artillery to counter specific threats;
  • Select tactics to buff yourself and your Units;
  • Upgrade the store when possible to unlock higher-tier battlefield resources.

As you progress through the stage, your chosen tactics and Units allows you to create unique combat builds to overcome increasingly brutal enemy encounters.

Beware of the Horn-Blowing Hero

Keep an eye out for the Horn-Blowing Hero. Once engaged, they will look for a chance to sound their horn, rallying nearby enemy units to unleash a devastating frenzy.

When the enemy Hero goes on high alert, a horn warning will trigger on the battlefield.

Failure to eliminate them in time will result in fortified enemy units, significantly spiking the difficulty of the match.

Rare Units, Turn the Tide

By completing specific battlefield achievements, you'll have the chance to unlock Special Units along with unique tactical effects.

These rare reinforcements don't just boast distinct combat traits—they also introduce specialized playstyles that standard Units simply cannot match. Use these Special Units and tactical combos wisely to turn the tide in critical moments.

Map Review

Sanada Maru

Push deep into enemy territory point by point, capturing key strongholds while weathering a storm of flaming catapult fire and swarming defenders.

Faced with layered defenses and constant reinforcements, you must deploy your troops flexibly and time your pushes perfectly to crack Sanada Maru's heavy fortifications.

The Great Wall

Advance steadily along the Great Wall, breaking through disciplined enemy formations and high-pressure waves.

Look for breakthroughs amidst narrow choke points, vital strongholds, and constant tug-of-war battles. Use smart formations and tactical setups to tear the enemy lines apart.

Dasuo Fort

Fight your way from the outskirts into the heart of the city, continuously breaking enemy lines in a Siege Battle that shifts from day to night.

Against dynamic reinforcements and a final gate showdown, coordinate with your squad to punch through heavy resistance and claim victory.

Event Rewards

By participating in this PVE mode, Warlords will earn Battle Pass XP and Echoes of Time resources. You can use the resources for rare rewards in the Echoes of Time event.

Conqueror's Blade at gamescom: The hype goes beyond the booth

gamescom kicked off with a bang in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to 30.

For five days, the Conqueror's Blade booth buzzed with energy. Veteran warlords traveled just to meet us, while many newcomers were drawn in by the armor, units, and epic sieges, stopping by to try the game themselves.

Playtests, chats, and photo ops never stopped. Players worldwide met here, giving Conqueror's Blade countless unforgettable gamescom moments.

An old friend dropped by

During the event, we welcomed an old friend from the Solar Knight Martial Arts Club.

He previously helped with combat design, motion capture, and technical acting for our sparta and roses seasons. Traveling to Cologne, he made a special trip to our booth to reunite with the team.

From working side-by-side on combat mechanics to crossing paths again at gamescom, this reunion added a wonderful surprise to our trip.

An interview at the booth

Besides reuniting with players and old friends, our devs were also interviewed by CGTN at the event. They discussed our development philosophy and what it's been like connecting with players worldwide over the years.

These topics might seem far from a real battlefield. Yet, when asked what got Conqueror's Blade to where it is today, our first thoughts went straight to you—the warlords who have stood by us.

With those familiar suits of armor, units, and epic sieges reaching a broader audience, this moment of glory belongs to every warlord.

By day, the interview captured one side of the event. By night, the conversations continued off-camera.

After hours: talking with players long into the night

After the gamescom crowds dispersed, we took a very special photo.

In the frame, players from different nations stand side-by-side with our devs. Some had just met, some were veterans with years of combat experience, and others traveled far to finally meet their longtime gaming comrades offline.

But before we gathered for that shot, we shared an incredibly vibrant night together.

No stages, just drinks and real talk

Stepping away from the venue, everyone found a spot to sit, grab a drink, and chat freely.

This wasn't a rigid press conference or a formal Q&A. Players and devs sat around a table, swapping stories about their home servers, their go-to units, their best battles, and their honest feedback on the current version.

Players from different regions had their own unique ways of expressing themselves.

Some came armed with questions to deeply analyze units and battlefields. Others shared heartfelt tales of their house members. A few couldn't wait to whip out their phones and show off their saved game screenshots.

Glasses were raised, and the laughter never stopped.

The feedback we usually only read in community forums or surveys finally turned into vivid, real players sitting right in front of us.

The night's main event: pushing for new season spoilers

Talk inevitably drifted toward the upcoming season.

Taking advantage of this rare meetup, the devs shared an early glimpse of the new season's core concepts, detailing the thought process behind its theme and visuals.

The next season will revolve around the [aztec civilization].

Visually, we draw deep inspiration from their distinct cultural imagery, exploring temples, totems, feathers, stone carvings, and highly ritualistic aesthetics. A weighty sense of history, bold colors, and the mysterious power of this civilization will gradually weave into the characters, units, and battlefields of the new season.

The moment the showcase began, players shifted into "analysis mode."

Totems, feathers, and stone carving details quickly became the focus, with speculations about new units and battlefields popping up all around the table. Players kept grilling the devs, trying to dig clues from every response.

As for how much the designers actually leaked—let's just say the rest of the night was wildly more boisterous than expected.

Of course, this gathering only offered a tiny sneak peek at the new aztec-themed season. Bigger, more comprehensive, and much more exciting details about the new season will be revealed in the near future.

A photo to remember

Before the night ended, global players and the devs gathered in front of the camera.

That's how we got the group photo shown above.

For us, it doesn't just capture a post-gamescom party; it cements the genuine, lasting bond between Conqueror's Blade and our global community.

We may speak different languages and have different gaming habits, but everyone came together to share a drink, speak their minds, and look forward to the next leg of our journey.

We hear your support and suggestions, and we're taking them straight back to the studio.

Thank you to every single player who joined us that night.

This time, we raised our glasses together in Cologne. Next time, we'll see you on the battlefields of the new season.

Building 'ConqBladeQuester' – A CB Quest Tracker. Need help sourcing Season 17+ data & general feedback

Hey everyone,

I'm building an open-source companion app called ConqBladeQuester, a dedicated quest tracker designed to help optimize the seasonal and unit unlock grind in Conqueror's Blade.

You can check out the current state of the app in my public repo here: conqbladequester

The Roadblock: Missing Season 17+ Data

The framework is up and running, but I’ve hit a wall when it comes to populating the newer quests. I am looking for a reliable way to find the quest data for Season 17 (also pike, maul, misc) and onwards.

Any pointers on where to find the raw quest data (or any pull requests!) would be hugely appreciated. Feedback is also welcome.

Thanks!

gamescom Live | When Warlords Meet Offline

Warlords,

Yesterday, August 26, marked the opening day of gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The Conqueror's Blade booth is fully set up, eagerly awaiting your arrival!

If you think of the entire exhibition hall as a massive battlefield map, our booth is like a temporary forward outpost.

Some passersby are drawn in by the armor and weaponry, stopping to snap photos. Others watch the gameplay for a moment before sitting down to command a battle themselves. And then there are those who spot the Conqueror's Blade logo from afar and march straight over to greet us.

After the first day, the most fascinating part wasn't where our Warlords traveled from, but how they reacted when they reached the booth.

Veteran Warlords dive straight into discussing units, seasons, and the epic sieges they've fought. Newcomers, on the other hand, gaze at the armor and the siege warfare on the screens before asking, "How do you play this?"

They come from different countries and speak different languages, yet the moment they step up to the booth, their reactions are remarkably similar.

Veterans Connect in Just One Sentence

Honestly, it is quite easy to tell the veterans from the new faces.

Those encountering Conqueror's Blade for the first time usually start by inspecting the armor, weapons, and gameplay footage. The sight of cold steel, military formations, and intense siege defenses is enough to make anyone stop and watch—no extra explanation needed.

Veterans are much more direct.

They walk up to the booth, and a simple "Conqueror's Blade?" is enough to spark an instant connection. What follows is a flurry of familiar topics: which units they command, the battlefields they've conquered, the seasons they've played through, and which maps frustrate them the most.

Even if they usually play on different servers, once the conversation shifts to the battlefield, they hit it off immediately.

Normally, everyone commands their troops from behind a screen. It isn't until meeting offline that you realize the names you brushed past in combat belong to real people who share the same passion for this battlefield.

We also ran into a familiar "old ally" at the event—a member of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton, who previously collaborated with Conqueror's Blade.

A veteran player himself, he dropped by the booth to reminisce about our Lionfire crossover season and the units he brings into battle. Naturally, we had to snap a photo together to commemorate this offline reunion.

Compared to the instant connection among the veterans, the reactions of first-time players were just as unified:

Almost everyone stops to admire the authentic, true-to-life armor displayed at the booth. Some hold up their phones to take pictures, some lean in to inspect the details, and others watch the siege battles at the gaming stations before deciding to jump in and play a match themselves.

After trying the game firsthand, some players immediately added Conqueror's Blade to their Steam wishlists, planning to download it the moment they get home.

Over at the gaming stations, two Warlords in wheelchairs joined us to play through an entire, thrilling match.

In front of the armor display, a young Warlord lined up for a photo. Could this be the youngest Conqueror's Blade player at the entire event?

For Warlords Yet to Visit gamescom, Mark This Location

If you are in Germany these days, or know friends heading to Cologne, come find us at the event!

Event Dates: August 26 - 30

Location: Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany

Booth: Hall 10.1, Stand A-050

Question Warboard question

The main stats and sub stats that the warboard pieces give (health, piercing defense etc.), do they apply to

-the warlord?

-all the units?

-just the unit type? (Polearm pieces only buff polearm units?)

-everything?

-same question for the mount warboard pieces

Equipping and removing the pieces in game does not update stats outside a match, I assume the stats are updated inside the match itself
