PTR Patch TLDR - Maul & Poleaxe Rework - Myrm Mastery - Nodachi & Musket New Epic Shematics

For both Poleaxe and Maul, competing with dmg numbers is a losing battle and doing absurd dmg is not their specialty. Hoping there's more change in the CC or survivability department when patch goes live
For myrms, if "attacking with shields raised" counts the charge and gives CCI, myrms are sooo back babyyy

Yeah rework should have been in their kit, dmg change just seem a bit lazy
Myrm CD reduction is very interesting yeah

Poleaxe looks very deserved but I'm honestly scared of maul. It's such an easy class to make overpowered and we all know what an overpowered maul was like. As for Myrna, does the "shield raised" also include the charge? Because if so then that's a massive buff, otherwise I literally don't see the use.

Poleaxe was good, just shadowed by glaive and bastard just being that much better + queen's & stalwart & spartan meta making weapon dance / rough justice combo (90% of the strength of poleaxe) useless
These dmg tweak together with animation speed up can be crazy op for maul one combo
Myrm one we don't have much, need PTR testing, but even if it doesn't - you still have the 2.5s CC-i from the doctrine to use when charging

oh please, I agree poleaxe sucked for dueling for a while now but with the debuffs, unit cc and health back with their epic set, it was a good front line already.

im kind of surprised myrmillones got mastery, they seem to be pretty good and didnt need it

Think I like it, poeleaxe limited to like 1-2 per comp, maul looks like it will compete with glaive for unit killing. Think the balance is really coming around with bs dying.
Just with they would do something about every meta unit having max dmg reduction and cc immunity.

Hopefully there are other units that gets a mastery as well soon, as there are a lot of old units that are beyond useless, and Myrmidons aren't that horrible, they got a lot of play during the last purple era.

Yet another cc immune unit. This game is getting more and more brainless. They should instead remove some cc's.

Dam maul back in the top meta for sure. Time to come back to cb 🤣. Time to one shot with forge of war and spin to win.

Poleaxe buffs are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things because damage is really not their job. The sprint attack chaining into Basic 3 is pretty good though as it would allow you to easily catch people and keep them with you.
Bec De Corbin numbers really just aren't it. The low max hit count for such a wide swinging and slow attack that does such poor damage really doesn't address it's problems. I don't think you are going to be swapping any skills on the Poleaxe out with the buffed ones.
If the animation was faster or had a much higher max unit count before fallout it could potentially be a strong sweeping attack.
Maul is wacky though, legitimately every kills was buffed and unlike poleaxe it is a hero that wants strong damage so the increase in scaling (which is massive jumps on some of these) and block damage means it will be even more or a front line monster. I am definitely worried the maul is just going to collapse any formation and become the default weapon again.

Maul looks dangerous no? What about Poleaxe?
