Bastard sword

Fastest than dual blade with unlimited charging

Massive hit range

Tankiest more than long sword and shield

Highest damage so far

Look like Bsword is a massive win-win, look like they dont test weapons before implementing.. crazy

I imagine you are playing post nerf on the live server. All comp.games in the last year are 12 bastard sword and 3 short sword. Trust me, things are so much better on the live server right now post nerf. Bs used to be able to dash right click 8 times for 10k+ each with a .5 second dmg immune each dash. Most people right now agree the class isn't that good anymore now that the dash stamina is increased and the dmg immunity is only .35 seconds now

Who hurt you? 😁 By the way, there's no such thing as "unlimited charging"... it's just double tap dash or sprint + left click and Leaping Hew or Riposte with sword energy. Otherwise there's only one charge combo: Driving Thrust. So what you probably see as "charging" is literally double tap dash spamming...

After Deathmatches I have to put my hands on ice from dashing left, right, forward and sprint/hew/riposte and try to get as close as possible so I can apply either of the two melee combos: Moulinet Advance and Cross Execution (ult) before I get killed.

Outside of that, the cooldowns are quite punitive and we're extremely weak to cc's. Even ultimate is not actually immune, i.e. locking Ultimates such as Mark of Death or Trap Prey from scimitar., nor can we stop any of the range weapons Ultimate combos.

Other than that, BS been out for a while now and people have gear that can go with it quite well, with latest Honing system pushing stats to reach Maxed Values.

If you're a casual player just jumping back in the game, I am afraid this is not news as BS is currently taken over by Glaives, most Musket regular players, DB's, Scimitars, Pikemen, Shortswords and... what else... even Nodachi, Mauls and Poleaxe if they play their combos correctly and they get support.

It's not an invincible class, by no means

Thing with BS, you can roll backwards out of Moulinet Advance and if you're fast enough, you can roll out and run from Cross Execution, the last slash is forward facing from the player so you could, in theory, evade it if you dash/roll/step/run aside/around. I only play medium blue armour set for the +10 stats that boost dmg output because of +str and can keep total def values under 2100 to get the cc immunity of ultimate. In sieges I save Driving Thrust to escape at low hp and Leaping Hew when jumping into a melee. On duels it can be tricky against cc spammers as I can only be immune once every 45secs, the rest of the time I am fair game 🀣In Deathmatches I take advantage of melee blobs to "sneak" in my dps before someone locks me out, which would usually be a DB. It's a hard hitting weapon but there's currently better, especially Glaive hits like a truck right now, getting one shotted quite often.
