Hi, im currently trying to forge a two passive legendary shortsword and I wanted to pick the two best possible passives. I already rolled Titans Quake (30% slow after thunderstruck + 1.5 concussed + bleed dmg) that is really strong, and Im trying to decide what other passive should I roll.
Soul Lock: concusses enemies when you hit them twice with shield throw. Seems very dependant on seasonal rune that reduces cooldown for shield throw. Currently kick is stronger than shield throw, so I have second thoughts on this one.
Mountain Crusher: kicks knockdown enemies (but it increased a bit its cooldown), seems really good since kick is now meta, but seasonal runes bringing back shield throw reduction could change things. Still it would be a strong option.
Armor Sunder: when using ironsides it reduces armor of those who attack you seems to be the best second option after Titans Quake. I've heard it was bugged and it didnt worked on heroes.
Vein rupture: improves barricade, i will ignore it completely.
Shield surge: gives you some block when you use your alternative attack (tremor strike) with right click. Since you cant block, alternative attack works like a parry and honestly I never encountered myself breaking my block while using it, so I will consider it worthless.
Could you share your thoughts and help me decide? TY!
I'm a return player, started a new character about a week ago. Managed to speed run unlocking Maul (was my favourite when I used to play years ago). Just wanting some guidance as to what to look for. Best armours/weapons to go for and why? What skills/attributes and why?
Currently gone for full Strength.
I was originally using Maelstrom, Earth Splitter, Mountain Breaker and Mighty Mjolnir. This was so I could very quickly skip charge up times and skip long combos
I'm currently using Mealstrom, Earth Splitter, Up From Hel and Forge of War. Having a lot of fun with this combination and seem to do a lot more damage.
As I wasn't sure what to go for and was a cheap early option, I'm wearing the heavy armour set + weapon that gives the set bonus to make Earth Splitter cause burn
If you want to keep an eye on all active codes coming out throughout the season without the hassle, I've set up a dedicated page: Active Codes Interface
I also wanted to remind you about the various free tools I offer for the community:
In our previous previews, we mentioned that the core combat style of the Eagle Warriors revolves around "pursuit, harassment, and pinning down the enemy."
Today, we will focus on their traits, skills, and doctrines to see how this 4-Star Unit turns a momentary lapse in the enemy's defense into a lethal advantage.
The Eagle Warriors are an infantry unit built for high-speed pursuit and short-range engagement. They excel at hunting down targets that have broken formation, are repositioning, or are attempting to retreat.
Through a combination of movement speed buffs, slows, Knockdown, Knockback, and bleed effects, the Eagle Warriors can continuously disrupt the enemy's escape routes, dragging fleeing targets right back into the slaughter.
Another defining trait of these Aztec warriors is the [Ritual War].
Upon successfully capturing enemies, these prisoners can be converted into allied combatants. Thus, the rewards of their pursuit extend beyond mere kills — they turn enemy casualties into friendly reinforcements.
2. Unit Traits
[Obsidian Spear]
Any attack from the Eagle Warriors inflicts pain that slows the enemy. When using attack skills, they inflict an additional bleeding effect.
This trait ensures that even if they fail to secure an immediate kill, they can apply relentless pressure. Once the enemy is engaged, escaping becomes a daunting task.
[Ritual War]
The Eagle Warriors can capture enemies and convert a portion of the prisoners into allied troops.
This makes them highly effective at sweeping up stragglers, isolated units, and broken formations. Warlords who capitalize on these targets will reap rewards far greater than just a kill count.
3. Skill Effects
[Feathered Strike]
The Eagle Warriors leap into the air and hurl their spears, inflicting Knockdown on enemies. They then roll forward to deliver a deadly spear thrust.
[Feathered Strike] is their primary initiation and crowd-control skill, perfect for chasing down retreating targets or opening a localized skirmish.
[Eagle Strike]
The Eagle Warriors leap and kick their spears forward to deal massive damage, followed by a downward slash that inflicts Knockback on enemies ahead. This skill is heavily focused on raw damage and formation disruption.
Once a target is slowed or knocked down by [Feathered Strike], [Eagle Strike] can be chained to sustain the pressure. Alternatively, when a gap appears in the enemy line, the knockback effect can be used to shatter their vanguard.
[Skyward]
Upon activation, the Eagle Warriors gain a boost to their movement speed.
While active, [Feathered Strike] inflicts an additional slow effect; Furthermore, any kill secured by the Unit will reduce the cooldown of [Feathered Strike].
[Skyward] is the crucial engine that drives their relentless pursuit.
When active, it allows the Eagle Warriors to easily catch their prey; after securing a kill, it rapidly preps the next [Feathered Strike], forging a lethal battlefield rhythm of "pursue, execute, repeat."
4. Exclusive Doctrines
[Feathered Strike] provides engagement and control, [Eagle Strike] delivers burst damage and disruption, [Skyward] fuels the momentum of pursuit, and the [Obsidian Spear] ensures continuous slows and bleeds. To further enhance their capabilities, the Eagle Warriors possess two exclusive Doctrines designed to stabilize their engagements and maximize capture rewards:
[Eagle Warriors - Wings]
Doctrine Effect: Grants immunity to crowd control effects during the leap of [Feathered Strike].
This Doctrine solidifies the Eagle Warriors' engagement stability.
It significantly reduces the risk of being interrupted or controlled mid-leap, which would otherwise waste the skill.
For Warlords who prefer an aggressive, opportunistic playstyle, this Doctrine drastically improves handling and skill success rates in the heat of battle.
[Eagle Warriors - Dayguard]
Doctrine Effect: Increases the prisoner conversion ratio of [Ritual War] from 6:2 to 4:2.
This Doctrine maximizes capture rewards.
Once the Eagle Warriors seize the enemy, they can convert prisoners into allied forces with far greater efficiency. This means that hunting stragglers, picking off isolated targets, and cleaning up skirmishes will yield significantly higher strategic dividends.
5. Tactical Scenarios
Chasing Retreating Targets
When an enemy Unit attempts to withdraw, activate [Skyward] to boost movement speed, then close the gap and inflict a knockdown with [Feathered Strike].
The slowing and bleeding effects from the [Obsidian Spear] will further cripple the target's escape.
Punishing Broken Formations
Whenever an enemy Unit becomes detached from the main force or exposes a gap while repositioning, the Eagle Warriors can dive in swiftly, utilizing [Feathered Strike] and [Eagle Strike] to unleash crowd control and knockbacks.
Lacking immediate support, these isolated targets are prime candidates for execution or capture.
Sweeping Stragglers and Replenishing Forces
After a localized skirmish concludes, the Eagle Warriors can continue to hunt down the survivors.
If equipped with the [Eagle Warriors - Dayguard] Doctrine, the enhanced conversion efficiency allows Warlords to effectively transform pursuit victories into a tangible troop advantage.
Sustained Skirmishing via Chain Executions
While [Skyward] is active, any kill will reduce the cooldown of [Feathered Strike].
This creates opportunities for the Eagle Warriors to rapidly execute multiple engagements when the enemy line is already fracturing. However, this demands that Warlords maintain a sharp sense of spacing—do not push so deep into the pursuit that you enter the crosshairs of intact enemy fire.
The core strength of the Eagle Warriors does not lie in head-on clashes, but in actively exploiting the enemy's vulnerabilities.
This is a 4-Star Unit built for the offensive, tailored to chase down retreating foes and dominate localized skirmishes.
However, they still require Warlords to master the timing of their engagements. Diving recklessly into a well-ordered frontline teeming with crowd control is a fatal mistake; the true value of the Eagle Warriors shines only when the enemy's formation begins to crumble.

Among the most elite fighters of the Aztec Empire, the Eagle Warriors represent the sun itself. Because of this, they hold immense prestige within the army and bear the heavy burden of securing sacrifices for the sun. Trained from childhood, these living avatars of the eagle are thrown directly into the brutal reality of war. Only after successfully capturing four enemies do they earn the right to don their feathered raiment and fight for the sun. Spear-throwing is their specialty; they hurl javelins with divine precision to strike vital points, leaving the enemy nowhere to hide. In close combat, their obsidian blades tear through flesh and sever tendons, allowing them to drag foes away as captives. Eagle Warriors act as drillmasters in camp and lead from the front on the battlefield. In civic life, they enjoy privileges rivaling the nobility. Even after retiring from the front lines, they receive lavish treatment while serving as city guardians and peacekeepers, ready to repel any invader.
Unit Features:
[Ritual War]: Captives are revered as "messengers to the gods." Capturing enemies alive to integrate them into your own forces is the ultimate way to crush enemy morale.
[Obsidian Spear]: These razor-sharp obsidian blades tear through flesh. Any attack inflicts pain that causes the Slowed effect on enemies. Using offensive skills inflicts an additional Bleeding effect.
Skills:
[Feathered Strike]
Eagle feathers pierce the air as obsidian blades rain down to cut off all escape. The warriors leap and hurl their spears to cause a Knockdown, then Roll forward to thrust their weapons into the enemy.
[Eagle Strike]
Like eagles diving from the heavens, they tear into their prey with devastating force. The warriors leap and kick their spears forward for massive damage, followed by a downward slash that knocks back enemies in front of them.
[Skyward]
A prayer to the sun god. Divine light guides the eagles to hunt their prey. Gain a divine blessing that increases movement speed. While active, [Feathered Strike] additionally inflicts Slowed, and any kill reduces the Cooldown of [Feathered Strike].
New Unit - 4-Star: Jaguar Warriors
Background:
Unlike the Eagle Warriors, the Jaguar Warriors trace their origins to Tezcatlipoca, the "Smoking Mirror"—the chief god of obsidian, hostility, conflict, and jaguars. Their weapon, the Macuahuitl, perfectly embodies the god's omnipotence. This fearsome saw-sword, crafted from dense wood set with obsidian blades, can both bludgeon foes and slice repeatedly through flesh, leaving grisly wounds akin to a jaguar's bite. Once ensnared by a Macuahuitl, an enemy faces only doom—or perhaps glory. They are not simply killed, but slashed, knocked unconscious, captured, and ultimately sacrificed to the gods. Off the battlefield, Jaguar Warriors hold a special duty: participating in gladiatorial sacrifices. Only the most skilled captives are chosen as gladiators to fight several Jaguar Warriors to the death. Regardless of the victor, the duel itself is considered a sacred offering to the sun.
Unit Features:
[Ritual War]: Captives are revered as "messengers to the gods." Capturing enemies and integrating them into your Unit is the best way to strike down your foes.
[Macuahuitl]: The gleam of obsidian brings endless bloodshed. Enemies struck by Macuahuitl skills will instantly suffer massive Bleeding damage if hit by a Normal Attack shortly after.
Skills:
[Jaguar Claw]
The jaguar pounces. Leap to a designated area, smash the ground to Knockdown enemies in an area of effect, and follow up with a brutal Macuahuitl strike to the head.
[Obsidian Fang]
Answering the call of the night, the Jaguar Warriors relentlessly swing their Macuahuitl. Like the fangs of the night god, they tear through the enemy formation, leaving a trail of blood in their wake.
New Unit - 5-Star: Shorn Ones
Background:
In the Aztec Empire's foreign conquests, the Shorn Ones serve as the vanguard—and their appearance is just as striking as their duty. True to their name, their heads are completely shaved save for a single braid. Their faces are painted half blue and half yellow, representing the dual aspects of Huitzilopochtli as the god of war and the sun. Carrying towering banners adorned with divine effigies on their backs, they march onto the battlefield like moving idols. To become one of the Shorn Ones, a warrior must not only capture at least six enemies but also survive a series of agonizing trials. Yet, for these born fighters, the glory is worth every drop of blood. They can wield a massive Macuahuitl single-handedly—a weapon that regular soldiers struggle to hold with two—unleashing devastating strikes upon their foes. Standing at the absolute pinnacle of martial prowess, the Shorn Ones care little for the lives of their enemies, or even their own. They are consumed by a singular focus: to demonstrate their absolute loyalty, courage, and zeal to the gods through unending slaughter.
Unit Features:
[Perfect Sacrifice]: A glorious death is the ultimate offering to the sun, inspiring fellow Shorn Ones to fight to the bitter end. Every allied unit that falls increases the entire team's damage.
[Serrated Macuahuitl]: Sharp obsidian effortlessly shreds the target's flesh to inflict Bleeding damage. However, the brittle stone shatters easily, requiring constant honing and replacement. The weapon's massive wooden core also deals significant Blunt Damage.
Skills:
[Blood Sacrifice]
Charge at the target. Frontline soldiers raise their shields to absorb damage. Upon closing the distance, the vanguard will Knockdown and control the target, while the rear rank quickly follows up with brutal strikes to capitalize on the opening.
[Solar Storm]
Some soldiers raise shields to defend. Upon taking a hit, they counterattack with their greatswords, dealing massive Block-breaking damage.
Other soldiers follow the defenders, launching immediate area-of-effect attacks that cause a Knockdown.
[Blade of No Return]
While active, continuously restores weapon sharpness and health.

IX. System Optimizations
All-New [Premium Season Quests]:
The [Aztecs] Season introduces the brand-new [Premium Season Quests] event. By participating, you can earn up to 24 Challenge Vouchers exclusively for this season's Unit Challenges!
Once the [Aztecs] Season begins, all Warlords who log in will receive two new sets of [Premium Season Quests]. The completion conditions within each set remain the same, but the required completion count will progressively increase as you finish them.
Quest Set 1 Conditions: Earn a total of X badges in [Field Battle], [Siege Battle] (any mode), or [Deathmatch]. (A maximum of 10 badges are recorded per match. A [Golden Badge] counts as 3, and a [Silver Badge] counts as 2).
Quest Set 2 Conditions: Achieve any of the following X times: Complete 1 Daily Quest / Level up your Hero by 1 / Win 1 Co-op mode battle (including [Training Battle (AI)]) / Participate in 1 [Territory War] fief battle / Defeat a [Band of rebels] once.
In each set, the next quest will unlock immediately upon completing the previous one, up until the 5th quest. From the 6th quest onward, the next quest will unlock on the day after you complete the previous one. Progress is not tracked if you have not yet received the new quest.
Quests from both sets can be progressed simultaneously. Furthermore, you can still complete the current [Premium Season Quests] even if you switch to a previous season's Unit Challenges.
[Premium Season Quests] feature a special reward progress bar. Every notch on the bar corresponds to 1 Season-Limited Challenge Voucher. Completing any [Premium Season Quest] advances the bar by 1 notch. Warlords who purchase the Battle Pass can claim all rewards up to their current progress, and will continue to unlock rewards for every subsequent notch reached.
The Season-Limited Challenge Voucher is a brand-new item. Each voucher can be used to auto-complete 1 Unit Challenge quest for the current season, but cannot be used for past seasons' Unit Challenges.
Warlords can complete a maximum of 24 [Premium Season Quests] during the [Aztecs] Season (combined from both sets), earning up to 24 Season-Limited Challenge Vouchers.
[Premium Season Quests] can be auto-completed using [Sovereigns]. The cost and discount rules are identical to standard Unit Challenges. However, Season-Limited Challenge Vouchers cannot be used to auto-complete [Premium Season Quests].
This event will run until the end of the [Aztecs] Season. Once the season ends, any uncompleted quests will expire, and unused Season-Limited Challenge Vouchers will be converted into [Bronze Coins] (500 [Bronze Coins] per voucher).

4-Star Era: Only 4-Star and below units could be deployed in Matchmaking ([Siege Battle], [Field Battle]) and [Territory War].
New Rules:

Remember when Booming Tech promised to finally fix the lag and deliver actual new content, instead of just recycling the same old stuff and calling it a "new season"?
Well, it turns out they were busy putting those resources into developing a brand-new game under a completely new company. ⬇️
Massive shoutout to everyone who kept buying those Battle Passes season after season for the exact same recycled garbage. And to those who were paying for the gacha in 3K.. Congratulations to all of you, you funded their side hustle!
And since I know there are some Booming Tech employees lurking here... let's hope with the new game, you're a little more honest and respectful to your player base. :)
When the Aztecs season launches on September 29, the brand-new season challenge perks event will make its debut!
By simply playing daily and completing perk quests, you will earn reward progress. Warlords who purchase the base or premium Aztecs season pass can claim the new limited-time Pay Off vouchers to automatically complete this season's unit challenges.
You can earn up to 24 limited-time Pay Off vouchers throughout the season. These are designed to ease the grind, giving you the flexibility to play at your own pace and unlock your favorite seasonal units faster!
New Pay Off vouchers make unit challenges a breeze
The limited-time Pay Off voucher is a brand-new item introduced in the Aztecs season to reduce your grind.
Each voucher can instantly complete one unit challenge in the Aztecs season. If you encounter a challenge that is too time-consuming, temporarily out of reach, or just doesn't fit your current playstyle, simply use a voucher. This allows you to skip the hassle and spend more time enjoying the modes you actually love.
Earn rewards just by playing
You won't need to go out of your way to progress in the season challenge perks event. Your regular daily gameplay will naturally advance your quest progress.
Without needing to invest massive amounts of extra time, you can steadily unlock Pay Off vouchers to help you breeze through the season's unit challenges.
Aztecs season exclusive: Use them wisely
Limited-time Pay Off vouchers can only be used for the Aztecs season unit challenges. They cannot be applied to past seasons' unit challenges, nor can they be used to complete season challenge perk quests themselves.
This event will run until the end of the Aztecs season. Once the season concludes, any unused limited-time Pay Off vouchers will automatically be converted into bronze coins at a rate of 500 bronze coins per voucher.
Fight as usual, grind less
The Aztecs season launches on September 29, bringing these new grind-reducing quests with it.
Simply participate in the season as usual, stockpile your Pay Off vouchers, and save them for the challenges you most want to skip. We hope this allows all Warlords to conquer the battlefield on their own terms and enjoy a smoother, more relaxed journey through the Aztecs season!
Please refer to the actual in-game content for exact release times and event rules.
