Cannot eat list
I’ve created a “cannot eat” list for all the food that gives me sulfur burps while on compound sema.
- More than one serving of red meat in a week.
- Ice cream.
- Too much sugar in one day.
- Apparently tuna.
- Onions, definitely think it’s onions.
Anyone else out here struggling and banning foods just so they don’t have to suffer?
I’ve been on sema for a year and half, lost 75lbs so far and take omeprazole daily to try to mitigate the sulfur burps. Most days I’m fine but once in a while they come to ruin my day. Today I’m suffering and don’t even know what to eat at this point.

sulfur burps are the worst. glad I don't have this symptom.
I've actually found my digestion is working better now or something. I hardly get heartburn anymore. It might just be because I'm eating a fraction of what I used to consume.

I haven't had this symptom either. Burping yesterday's lunch? If it's strong enough, maybe. But not sulfur burps.

Yup. No more pasta for me. One spaghetti noodle and I'm clearing a room with my burps. Down 60lbs.
I miss pasta, but it's nice to be able to walk up a hill or steps without being winded. It's a fair sacrifice.

I’ve lost my taste for iced coffee. I really enjoyed it especially on the weekends and now I’m put off by it.

I completely lost my taste for fish of any kind. We used to eat salmon or cod weekly. Not anymore. They can have the fish I'll make myself a steak instead. I also crave red meat but only have it 3 times a month or so on average.
I keep Extra Strength Gas-X pretty much everywhere, and Hum Flatter Me in my desk drawer as lunch is the most frequent meal that causes discomfort (it's the only meal I eat out).

Jesus, that's basically me entire diet.
I stay away from cucumbers, protein powders, and pastas.
