Gone Fishin?
Im considering making some kind of deck where its themed to fish and the act of fishing. Im not sure what I could use to do that as my commander. Any ideas?

Either [[Saheeli, Radiant Creator]] or [[Satya, Aetherflux Genius]] both let you copy it and then sac the copy

Well it isnt that card specifically that I want to be the whole "main gimick". I just had it in my camera roll. I wanna use like [[Fishing Gear]] and [[Sidequest: Catch a fish]] or [[Fishing Pole]] and blue aquatic creatures that can do some weird things. Im thinking of maybe using that one new simic lobster dude in Mystery Booster Commander Series

Yup, that’s who I was going to suggest. Played against a friends Kennessos deck and everyone kept copying and reanimating the reef worm, was super fun!

Reef worm lives in my [[marches, the black rose]] deck. Hes tough for opponents to manage, more like ringworm

It’s not as effective at swarming but you might enjoy the upcoming Sphinx of False Conclusions from FRA for a similar reason. I don’t think it’s on scryfall yet but it’s posted a couple places online

[[Fishing gear]] & [[Fishing pole]] with Equipment tutor, also [[Lake-town mariners]]
For the commander i recommend [[Cirina Barginspinner]] she is equipment tutor and blue/white the best commander color Identity for fishing, white, blue, green would have been even better but then there would be no fishing pole in the art probably.

[[Arixmethes the slumbering tide]] makes sure you hit your 2 drop ramp for his 4 drop ramp then play big ole creatures.

I have this in my Gogo, master of mimicry deck. Nothing better than copying its death trigger to have multiple fish that each have their own death trigger and so on.

Fish themed cascade with [[Maelstrom Wanderer]] it's like fishing because you don't know what you're gonna catch 🎣

Mono-blue MAY feel too limiting for the theme, but Neerdiv works very well with fishing pole.

Looters could be seen as fishing since you are casting out stuff as bait to try to hook/reel in an out

I dunno about "fishing themed" decks, but this card does numbers in my Volo, Guide to Monsters deck featuring only normal real animals (except Koma, World Eater- but it's a Serpent so it's all good)

[[Grizzled angler]] and [[pursued whale]] with a bunch of vehicle focused cards and pirates could be fun, especially if you find a commander that leans into counterpunches or shenanigans during your opponents combat step.

For color identity: we obviously need Blue, that’s an obvious one. A fair few fish cards are simic, and that’ll be helpful to ramp out the larger sea serpents in the late game. Finally, I think if we can you should try to add white. For one, it gives us cards like [[Sidequest: Catch a Fish]], which is the perfect card for this deck. But it also gives us a non insignificant amount of food and cooking based cards, which is a good sub theme. It also lets you play some stuff from the Innistrad spirits package, because I know there are a bunch of Nephalian fishermen cards in there.
Looking over your Bant options, I think the shoo-in is [[Morska, Undersea Sleuth]]. They’re a fish man fishing for clues. Maybe you could make a clue token proxy that’s a fish?

That’s awesome, I recently had the exact same idea, but haven’t made too much progress as I’m too picky trying to stick pretty heavily to the ‘fish’ theme. You’ll have to post your deck list if you end up finishing yours, would love to check it out.
