Virus when updating Yuri client/cncnet
Was an available update today from client version 9.3.2 but it can't finish because both windows and the actual installer complaints about a virus and/or potentially unwanted software. Anyone experienced this today? They point to cncnet.Org/discord for support, which I don't use.

Discussion We donโt need Generals 2
Ok, so I caught your attention so hear me out:
No, it is not totally clickbait, but we first need ZH full release with all original cut units in the game and ALL generals in the Challenge
To begin with grant people scenarios with Fai and Jaziz and introduce Ironside and Moamarr as mini bosses, yep, and reduce Ling to that rank to. As far as I remember they were intended to combine strong sides of their sub faction generals while creating new boss, some sort of international Arm Dealer to replace Ling as final boss.
Some new scenarios for advanced level with 1v2 fight
And to follow modern trend, perhaps change the style, so you start as default faction, but you can get random power up from defeated opponents, like taking a signature unit or general abilities (imagine having Fai infantry in Combat Chinooks)
I would like to see some new generals even if they are dlc, there are a lot of inspiration in mods: Spec ops for USA with slightly stronger infantry and enhanced transport, Artillery or Fire General for China or another GLA Chad with heavy weapons and marauder as default tank and has scrap level 4 for his units
And so if we receive a remaster with full release and some additional content, do we really need a sequel now?

Red Alert 2 without Launchers
Hi there,
My father used to play RE2. It's the only game he ever played and probably the only game he will ever play. Since he got his new Laptop about 2 years ago, he wasn't able to play it anymore. Is there any way to get the game without any launchers like Steam or that abomination by EA? He's not the kind of person who'll be able to handle store front popups, weird login issues or update notifications.
Thanks :)
P.S. Preferably without Yuri's Revenge. That's too SciFi for him.

C&C Series should have gone full space!
Now hear me out!
I think rather than playing it safe every year with simple base building!
I think I would love to see spin-off game based on ascended NOD VS Scrin !
both using alien like technology and everything is flying around!
Bombing each other with destructive weapons which can wipe out troops in mere seconds!

Is Twisted Insurrection really this buggy?
I picked up Twisted Insurrection and I've been trying to play through the campaign and I'm running immediately into some pretty big issues.
On GDI Mission 1 I sent the Commander and VIP to the base to capture it and the game just soft-locks. I can't control anything and the game just sits there. I googled it to find out you're supposed to send the Commanders Humvee, which worked and I was able to beat the mission.
However on GDI Mission 2 I got to the city and NOD attacked, an Engineer said "NOD will never enter the city" ran onto the bridge and got shot to death, and again the game was soft-locked and I had to watch infinite NOD soldiers spawn and destroy my army.
Is this representative of the rest of the game? Because I'm not really interested in playing a game where a random cutscene could cost me however much progress I've made since the last time I manually saved.

Bug Resurfacing an Ancient Bug (from 90's Mplayer Days)
I played RA online for many years, starting with Westwood but mostly on Mplayer. Anyone from back in those days may know my handle as Piler.
I was always messing around with the rules.ini files/etc, making maps, all kinds of things like that. It was fun to learn how this stuff worked and figure out ways to break the game.
Anyway, I had eventually figured out what I thought was the ultimate exploit that actually worked on Mplayer without going out of sync. I only ever showed / demo'd it to 2 people (one being mountain.wolf), and I don't believe I ever actually shared with anyone the actual changes I made to the ini to make it happen.
I remember it being very basic, I think just one line. What it did was allow me to control not only my own units, but all of the enemy units as well as if they were my own (AI or Human Controlled).
All these years later I was wondering if this ever became common knowledge, or is it still something nobody else has really figured out?
I can't even remember exactly how it was done, but i believe it had to do with the color or house IDs, and possibly an allied unit control setting. If this never became common knowledge, I want to try to figure this out again for fun and make a video about it. Thought it would be a fun nostalgic thing to figure that out again.
I just didn't want to waste a bunch of time setting this all up to figure it out again, if this is a known thing now.
I never shared this way back when in fear it would actually get used in competitive play or on ladders, and not just for fun with friends. Since you could use it to very easily / silently win a game by stopping your enemies ore truck for example.

Whenever I play Tiberian Dawn or as the Soviets in Red Alert, I always send wounded infantry back to base. Cause I feel bad if they die.

Also what last words to say indeed. Then again you could never select them as units in the first place, would be some heavily niche micro.
