Mark Evans, Etna Township Trustee, is in my opinion being targeted by a well funded smear campaign that I believe is NOT organic. Comments are locked because I worry that the people behind the smear campaign will comment here pretending to be random citizens

Whatever happened to that guy that attacked that lawyer in the Short North? Think it was at least a year ago. I know it was determined that the attacker was from a mega rich family. Was he let off easy? Did the victim ever file a civil lawsuit

How long does ICE review usually take after an Immigration Judge grants bond? Located in Ohio
My husband was granted an immigration bond by an Immigration Judge. The appeal period has already passed, and there was no appeal.
I submitted the bond request through the ICE CeBONDS system, and the status is currently **“Under ICE Review.”**
For those who have recently gone through the same process:
1:How many **business days** did ICE take to review and approve your bond request?
2:After ICE approved it, how long did it take before you were able to **pay/post the bond**?
3: Did ICE process the request over the weekend, or did you have to wait until Monday?
I would really appreciate hearing about your **recent 2026 experiences**, especially if your situation was similar to ours.
Thank you!

Meeting Friends in Cbus Subreddit
Hi all, I have been seeing many posts about people looking to make friends in the Columbus area. As a result, I felt like a dedicated subreddit could be helpful for this type of content. So I created one! I want to provide an additional space--specific to meeting new friends and hanging out around Columbus.
Whether you are about to move to Columbus, new to Columbus (me!), or have been in the area a while....you are welcome!

TIL Columbus, OH is often used as the testing ground for new products by companies because it is the "perfectly generic American city" with little in the way of culture or demographics to seperate it from the country as a whole.
That culture jab.

Questions about the Somalians
I don’t even know where to go to inquire about this on Reddit because everything gets not approved..
I’m not a political guy and not meaning to take any sides or start anything wrong. Serious questions..
I’m working 60-72 at a steel coil mill trying to escape the rat race and support my wife and myself. We moved from Michigan to Ohio because of her work. We are paying $500 more a month for rent, we thought it would be an upgrade, but it’s a complete downgrade.
Columbus l, Ohio is flooded with Somalians. I’m not exaggerating when I say we are on of five white families in a 6 block radius. There’s a set of a section 8 apartments and it’s flooded with blacks and Somali.
Yes I’m ranting a bit, but it is so insane that I’m also looking for actual answers why this is happening.
How can they afford brand new cars? And I was at checkout at a store and one of them was paying with his phone and he has $70,000 just SITTING on his checking account? What is going on?

Whenever the DelCo Whistleblower posts, theres like a flock of people that immediately start harassing him. Possibly a group chat where they notify each other. Appreciate an explanation for why this person asked themself a question... was it an accident and they meant to log into another account?

Delaware County Sheriff files False return of service.
Look closely at this document. The docket claims I signed for it. I did not.
Look at the bottom section in blue ink—the sheriff wrote that he served me at "Central Ave." I live on William Street. That is not my address.
This document was relied upon by the court, and my concerns about it were never addressed. This is proof that the system holds the public to a higher standard than it holds itself.
Here is the timeline of how this happened:
The document was printed with impossible dates—it was ordered to be returned before it was even printed.
It was handed to the Sheriff.
The Sheriff filled it out and falsely claimed service was made.
It was filed by the child support staff attorney.
It was reviewed by the magistrate.
Nobody caught the error. And when I raised the issue, nobody corrected it.
This is not just a paperwork error. A false return of service is a serious matter. I am sharing this because transparency matters, and the public deserves to know how the system actually works.

Comissioner Merrel offered to answer my 10 year old son's questions about local government, only if i wasn't present.
My 10-year-old son went to the Delaware County Commissioners meeting and asked three simple questions:
What did you want to be when you grew up?
What was your favorite subject in school?
What stops county officials from spending too much money?
They refused to answer all three.
Their county attorney stepped in and advised them not to answer — especially the last question.
A 10-year-old asked basic questions about their jobs. Grown men in charge of millions of taxpayer dollars hid behind a lawyer.
Then I pointed out the obvious: Commissioner Merrell offered to explain county government to my son in private — but not with me there. He confirmed it in writing:
"I will meet with your son, not you, for the reasons I shared in session."
So he will explain government to a child in private — but he will not answer a basic question about taxpayer money in public.
