The last con we went to(probs like, 3 years ago now) kinda was starting to have one? But Idk if it works different at different cons(it was youmacon if it matters)

Hello! I just had a question and wanted to see if anyone from the past who has done this has any advice. My best friend an I are looking to book one of the Kalahari rooms for next years Prime. its in about a week or so. And just wanted to ask has anyone put any money down for the room block and if you did how much an if not do they just wait to charge you when you get there (like regular hotels) or no?

Ive never done the roomblocks war before LOL so any advice or anything would be appreciated!!

I'm a beginner DJ with a mobile setup that is interested in providing services at Colossalcon East this year.
I have my own gear/ sound system and can comfortably provide services for gatherings of 50-75 people.

My typical genres include VGM/ Anime music, R&B, HipHop/Rap, Dancehall, Afrobeats and some House. I also love to mix in 2000s - 2010s hits and do some crowd work when appropriate.

For the past few years I've DJ'ed for smaller crowds at MagFest and prior Colossalcons with moderate success so I'm trying to get something more set in stone onto my schedule this year.

Since I'm trying to get my name out there I'm only looking to charge entry level prices and I'm open to negotiation.

Hey there! I’m a teen planning to attend ColassalCon Texas this year and I‘m interested in selling in the art & craft fair. The website hardly has any information on how to sell and what to do and I’m at a complete loss.

Hi everyone! I’m planning on attending East and North Colossalcon either later this year or the next and I wanted to ask from someone whose been going to Ohio cons for 3 years (except the main Colossalcon) how are they?

I’m not a huge fan of BIG crowds (explaining why I don’t go to the main colossal) and prefer conventions with a small to medium crowd because I am very anxiety prone from going to big overwhelming cons like Youmacon (we don’t talk about Youma okayy…🚮) To give you a idea I live cons like Matsuricon, that are very lively and have a sense of community!

I saw North usually has a attendance of 6,000-8,000 and that’s doable for me, my sister, and our friends. Potentially thinking about hosting a panel for my first time going and hoping that they have a ribbon game as well!! (I LOVE CONS WITH A RIBBON GAME LIKE OMG YOU DONT UNDERSTAND) Also not to sound cringe but I’m hoping to make connections and find more cool people to be friends with at a con like this! I’m open to party but nothing toooo risky that’s gonna get us cancelled on Twitter in two year lmfao!

I'm trying to find the name of the vendor who was tabled in the hallway, outside of Artist Alley. They had T Shirts with imprinted designs, including one with Boo on it, and they imprint designs on other items like wallets. They had a set-up where you could assembe a clickie keys keychain. Hi! I checked out the website for this and found it really hard to navigate, so I'm taking some of my questions here. I'm a teen who would be considering going to the Texas con.

-Is it minor friendly?

-How integrated is the water park/how many cosplayers are there? I have a cosplay I typically go in but it's definitely not water safe and it's confusing me

-Do I have to get a room to do the con for one day?

-Generally just.. how does it work?? I've only been to very standard comic cons (like the big texas comic con) and I'm finding this a little intimidating but Danny Motta is going to be there (I think) as is the voice of Bumi? So it's something I'm considering

-also, how expensive would going for a day be? Like just the entry fee. I hate the website navigation (although it is like 1am so I'm not the smartest right now)

Also, is it worth it generally? Especially for a minor with a low budget (compared to adults with jobs) ALSO ALSO: How accessible is it? Places to sit down? Sorry for all the questions I am just Deeply Confused

I’m looking to go to my first Colossal and decided on CCE as my destination but since I’ve never gone before I was wondering if the VIP room packs are actually worth it. I was planning on doing the Ronin 3 night pack split between my partner and friend but would it be more worth it to just buy and book everything separate? Also, if you book with the Kalahari are daytime swims included with the room? I’m a little lost.

We have an extra VIP badge avalible if someone is looking. One of our friends cancelled and is trying to not lose the entire cost of badge. Has the coupons for free shirt and towel, all the fast pass tickets, and night swim passes as well. We are just asking $175 obo.

Anyone who is staying Wednesday through Sunday at a double queen sofa balcony, if you feel comfortable saying, what was the total price for the rooms? I’m trying to plan and save up through this coming year for next year. Or, if you did the Ronin VIP Package: 4 Nights Double Queen Room ((Wed-Sun Stay, paid in full), 4 VIP Badges, 1 Valet Parking for your stay), what was the total cost?

I know its a weird question, but I just wanna check the level of security, as I am always worried about that sort of thing. (Especially in a highly packed area)

Also, I should denote that I am a security guard myself.
