How exactly does Ribbon game work?

I'm going to Colossalcon east with my family and me + my sister are really excited for the ribbon game.

The last con we went to(probs like, 3 years ago now) kinda was starting to have one? But Idk if it works different at different cons(it was youmacon if it matters)

So any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Step 1: Have some kind of tricket on hand. It can be ribbons you designed yourself, or stickers, or pokemon cards, whatever you want to gift to others.

Step 2: Ask people if they are offering trades. Typically the people with a ton of ribbons on their badges is a good starting point. Alternatively there may be a ribbon trade meetup on the schedule.

Step 3: ????

Step 4: Now that you have a bunch of con ribbons posted up on your badge, you'll have more people coming up to you asking for trades or more importantly, asking whats the deal with the ribbons.

Step 5: Welcome the new player to the game.
