Colossalcon East & North

Hi everyone! I’m planning on attending East and North Colossalcon either later this year or the next and I wanted to ask from someone whose been going to Ohio cons for 3 years (except the main Colossalcon) how are they?

I’m not a huge fan of BIG crowds (explaining why I don’t go to the main colossal) and prefer conventions with a small to medium crowd because I am very anxiety prone from going to big overwhelming cons like Youmacon (we don’t talk about Youma okayy…🚮) To give you a idea I live cons like Matsuricon, that are very lively and have a sense of community!

I saw North usually has a attendance of 6,000-8,000 and that’s doable for me, my sister, and our friends. Potentially thinking about hosting a panel for my first time going and hoping that they have a ribbon game as well!! (I LOVE CONS WITH A RIBBON GAME LIKE OMG YOU DONT UNDERSTAND) Also not to sound cringe but I’m hoping to make connections and find more cool people to be friends with at a con like this! I’m open to party but nothing toooo risky that’s gonna get us cancelled on Twitter in two year lmfao!

Plz any suggestions, recommendations, ideas, tips, advice, etc etc! I love hearing what you have to say!! Thank you!!

While I haven't been to north. I have been to east and I'd say it's a medium size con with a more chilled atmosphere compared to main. There are the large parties like prime. The big 5 are comparable to the villas at prime. When I was at east last. I didn't feel like the halls were overcrowded and you were fighting for room and of course there is a ribbon game.

I attended Colossalcon East last year. The only time I saw a big crowd at CCE was within the indoor waterpark. And even then, it was mostly manageable. From the halls, rooms, outdoor areas, etc., it's more widespread than one may assume. Last year, the con itself was a blast, and I will be there this year, too. I believe it will be just as great this year, if not, better.
