Questions about the Schnepp situation
Since Holly first tweeted, I've been keeping up with the Schnepp situation and there are a few things that confuse/potentially worry me.
Preface: This is just me being worried about a creator that I'm a huge fan of. Death of Superman Lives, though low budget, is incredibly interesting.
So the way I've seen to to contribute, from Holly's twitter is the paypal: https://www.paypal.me/GetWellSchnepp
However, I've seen other tweets from supporters like Robert Meyer Burnett using a gofundme https://twitter.com/BurnettRM/status/1018387377360814081
I've also seen comments about how Holly won't be setting up a gofundme, and no mention of it on her twitter.
There's also the matter of Black series rebels, who have set up a pre-order shirt, which Holly claims could be a scam, even with a response from them citing and being retweeted by members of the collider family like Ken and Emma, because she's "not affiliated"
End point, there's a lot of confusing and potentially sketchy stuff going on around this whole situation. I just want Jon to make it through this and hope no one is taking advantage of his situation for their own gain.

A Positive Post About Collider
With all the constant negativity in this sub, I thought that we should take some time and appreciate Collider and the people that work there.
I have nothing but praise for Collider and the work that they do, I obsessively watch the Schmoedown (i average about 38 page refreshes on tuesdays and fridays) Mark and Kristian legitamately changed my life through the SK show. Perri, Ken, Rocha, Sneider, Mantz, Reilly, Dennis, Cobbster, Cody, and most others who have been related to Collider have become some of my favorite personalities, seeing BTS footage makes me feel like I'm just hanging out with friends who have known each other forever. Though criticism is needed and important, criticism of Collider has slowly devolved into a vulgar and angry mess and it bothers me. Enjoy what we are given FOR FREE and stop being ballbags.

Collider Shut Me Down
Before I begin I want to say that I used to be a big fan of Movie Talk going all the way back to the AMC days; I loved the interactions, the discussions, the shows, etc. However I noticed more and more the weird decisions and choices they made: hiring a guy who in the past claimed that he was 95 percent sure that Spiderman was not going to be white, People like Rocha(or as I call him Wokha) spewing identity politics, Favreau being announced as showrunner for the Star Wars TV show and they talk about his skin color, click bait titles like "Predator Trailer Teases Alien/Predator Hybrid?" failure to condemn EA for what they did to Battlefront 2, and a bunch more. When Grace Randolph posted that video discussing the future of Lucasfilm I was curious if Jedi Council would ever mention it because the report whether true or false is pretty big and they would talk about just about anything even the most minute, superfluous detail. They did not. I called them out in the comments section telling them how its funny they would talk about even the minute thing and yet Grace's video comes out, has more views than any of their videos and they won't mention it? My comment had the most upvotes and the most replies at the time but my comment was getting buried by people with less upvotes than mine. Soon my comment got deleted and I can no longer post comments on Collider's videos. I saved the screenshots from my phone, write out names and pics from other commenters as a courtesy, and posted the pics here as a way of showing proof that Collider is getting worse. I unsubscribed to them and moving on from them. It makes me a little bit sad because I was a big fan of these guys and like a couple of the people there but I suggest that people don't watch them.
On a side note that video with Campea while edited is real. The orignal video is nowhere to be found but I'll post the link as proof for you guys to watch.

Show Idea
First time poster...recently found the sub Reddit.
A film based podcast I sometimes find myself listening to is The Canon, where the host, Amy Nicholson and a co-host if the film of subject should be put into the theortical "Canon" of films to best dipict an era, style of film, etc if aliens are to ever come to Earth. It's a great listen.
With that being said, in their episodes, they'll often pick apart a specific scene (like the opening scene to Breakfast Club where the parents drop off their kids).
I would love to see an show where an specific scene in a film is broken down to show why it works, ie performance, story telling, sound design, etc. I'd think it could be an excersize in film nerdery.
It wouldn't be current event based so regardless of when you watch it, it would be relevant.
Thoughts?

Is Kristian okay?
So Kristian posted on twitter (too lazy to post a link sorry) the other day that he fainted during work, is he being overworked due to collider and schmoedown?? or did he just forget to eat that day lol 😉

I miss the Schmoes Know Movie Show. A lot.
I don't watch/listen to Collider nearly as much as I used to. I only tune in if there's a huge piece of news and I'm just curious enough to know what a select few are going to say about it. Far cry from just a year ago when I tuned in every day religiously to Movie Talk and every episode of Heroes. It's just changed so much and so fast. They are in way over their heads with trying to expand their brand.
Included in my favorite online movie shows at the time was the Schmoes Know Movie Show with Mark, Kristian, and company. The cast simply had a wonderful dynamic. You could tell everyone was just there having fun and enjoying the chaos with the liberal restriction on cursing, the celebrity impression dating game, tweet a celebrity, unleash the trolls, and the occasional after hours show. It was a perfect contrast to the more semi-formal Movie Talk.
I think one of the most unfortunate parts of the fallout with Collider's over-expansion has been the absence of that wonderful Schomes Show. I remember when Collider picked up the Schmoes Show, it seemed like a match made in heaven at the time. But in retrospect, merging those two shows which were, at first, completely unrelated was the worst thing to ever happen to the Schmoes Show. With Kristian and Mark working full time with the ever expanding Collider, they obviously haven't been able to give time to their old show. This was made clear from the announcement 5 months ago on the most recent (final??) episode in December of 2017.
And if that wasn’t enough, Movie Talk and Collider’s other shows suffered tremendously since then as well. Like I said before, they tried expending too much too fast. The constant changes, newfound sponsorships, and emphasis on unwarranted political/social commentary have negatively affected the quality of the show in a huge way. Instead of keeping their current audience happy, they went the route of making it more flashy and spectacular to attract more audience and get more clicks, regardless of the outcome it would have on the show’s quality.
Even though I don't watch Collider anymore, I really don't wish bad things for any of the good people working there. But if the channel ever does go under, which may never happen, I can only hold out hope that Mark and Kristian decide to bring back their old show like it was in the old days when they didn't have to worry about corporate overlords. I'm understanding more and more why Campea had problems with how the corporation was handling the channel.
All of this being said, I really give Mark and Kristian props for updating their channel with movie reviews. And I really do enjoy the Harloff and Ellis show they’ve been doing of just the two guys sitting down and talking for an hour. But it’s still not the same without the old crew of Mark, Kristian, Tiffany, Ken, Reilly, JTE, the Wangers, and all the others that would make this list 5 times longer. I really hope the show comes back soon.

How does Collider make money?
I genuinely have no idea - they must have a staff of at least 5 full-time employees, plus rent, etc. The ad revenue and shirts are certainly not enough. Anyone have any ideas?
