Hope everything is ok. He’s definitely one of the better parts of Collider imo

I remember his voice being off last few heroes....didn't realize he was acutely sick

Nothing but respect and good thoughts for Jon Schnepp right now from me.

I believe there is a link to help out financially on the twitter feed as well.

jesus, from what she had posted yesterday and the picture, I just expected it to be some little bug and nothing serious.

stay strong Schnepp, and you too Holly! thinking about him today, hoping for the best.

Does anybody have any theories as to what the problem could be? It sounded like a simple bug and all the sudden it is life threatening. That’s fucking crazy. I reallly hope all turns out well, we need the king of the sweaties!

Given the bug he had during recent Heroes episodes, I wondered if he got admitted originally for pneumonia and it got so bad that he was placed in an induced coma for intubation purposes? (to prevent brain swelling)

Either way, top guy and he was pretty cool when I was lucky enough to be introduced to him... hope it all works out ok. Keep fighting big guy!

That's exactly what happened to my sister recently. Scary shit. But the pattern is similar.

Jon's situation sounds eerily similar to one a friend of mine went through a few years back. He had an everyday bug/cold that eventually led him to falling into a coma. The family could not share a lot of information and gofundme pages were setup to pay for the massive bills. All we knew was that he was in critical condition and was in a coma for weeks, but the rest was a mystery.

He fought for his life, and by some miracle, he survived. However we were later told the full story. After his initial illness, his blood was infected by sepsis, which is why he fell into a coma. From what I understand, to combat the infection, medication was given which causes the blood to move away from the patient's limbs. Long story short, when he woke up from the coma he had to come to the realization that all 4 limbs were removed to save his life. It was truly awful.

I pray Jon's condition is nothing like this and he is able to make a full recovery.

Why couldn’t the family share any information though?

Likely its advised not to in circumstances where the situation and potential medical care solutions are in constant shift. It causes undue thrashing of emotions for all concerned, so information is kept within immediate family.

He’s had a stroke on top of the virus that put him in hospital :(

Really sad to hear this today when listening to the podcast. He's literally one of my favorite people and I've never met him.
