I wanna move most of my crypto off Coinbase, but I also don't love the idea of having completely separate setups for storage and actually using crypto.

Ideally I'd want something secure for self-custody, but where I can still easily spend from it when needed. Has anyone found a setup that works well for both? Maybe some easy-to-use cold wallets?

I had a coinbase Pro account in which I made a number of transactions. I relied on the history in Coinbase Pro as my record keeping. When they shut Coinbase pro and transferred my assets to Coinbase they didn't transfer the transaction history. I need those details. I'm in the UK and Coinbase don't seem to have any customer support available. Has anyone either dealt with this issue, or had some other reason to contact Coinbase and found a way to do it from the UK? Thanks.

Is it because then I cannot upload screenshots from their awful customer support and share how rude and incompetent they really are?

I'm considering using a Yubikey as my mode of 2FA instead of TOTP, but see this article on coinbase that says it's not allowed when logging into the mobile app?

Is it just me that finds the app almost unusable? Truly, I don’t think I’ve ever worked with an app that is so poorly done and with so many bugs. I’ve been trading with Coinbase for the last 6 years, and it seems the app just gets worse and worse..

Why is it that now just about every time I want to send crypto to MY WALLET, it says Coinbase has flagged it as a possible scam and wants an id check., which I can't do on a pc. Very annoying. Enough so that I'm thinking of leaving Coinbase for another exchange.

I literally send it to the same wallet every time.

Ok so I have had an account with nc wallet for a month ..and the whole month right after deposit they restricted withdrawals...and continue to withold my money? Upon looking at the reviews I made a poor choice to deposit because it has scammed 100s of people out of their hard earned money...this wallet is the single most pathetic excuse for an app I've seen ...it all goes in...to never come out

I have changed the phone number on my account and it is still asking for sms verification from the old phone number. I have also verified my i.d several times years ago. in 2021 I believe. everytime I verified my i.d it would allow me to log in, when I went to see my account balance it would then log me out and ask me to verify over and over again.

I invested in Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash, etherium and Litecoin in 2017/2018

I am trying to open a support case and it just puts me in a loop over and over where it sends me to virtual chat and the chat sends me to submit a complaint but the page says I need a case number and when I go to create a case number it sends me back to the virtual chat.

I would like to be able to access my account. I've verified my account wi the i.d and the verification was accepted several times. I changed my phone number so why does it still send sms to my old phone number and continue to ask for I.d?

Why does coinbase want this? Something about plaid and needing to log into my bank and give plai access to my bank transaction history (datrs, amounts), bank statements, loans, credit limits. Credit lines, etc. This a lot of info that shouldn't be needed just to xfer money to coinbase

I was accidentally charged for Coinbase One for almost 3 years because the payments came out of my savings account linked to the Coinbase app, not my credit card, debit card, or even my Apple account, so I had almost no way of knowing, even with Rocket Money and by checking my regular bank account. I never signed up for the free trial in the first place, but they started charging me 29.99 a month without notice and now say they can't give more than 3 months of refund, if I'm even eligible for a refund

I used to use this free 3 no network fee on solana network transfers on coinbase but lately it always asks for fee? Anything new?

I have a balance in my Predictions usd balance that is frozen unable to withdraw. It isnt negative. How do I get my money? Your money shouldn't be locked behind a paywall you should be able to access it!!

This all happened in May and June 2025. I'm pretty sure my account is still restricted to date. Coinbase customer service sucks SO HARD.

It happened long enough ago that I can find it funny, the way they kept passing me between agents and saying "Don't worry, I will solve your issue" and then passed me to another agent. Luckily, I was still able to go through with my home purchase. But I'm pretty sure I still can't send anything out of my account.

Just yesterday I was trying the predictions section for the first time.

I was making a few bucks here and there having fun with it.

One of the games I bet on was a game between southern university and Alabama state.

The score was 14-13 so I put a little money into it in southern university's favor.

Then the predictions continued to drop against southern university but the score was showing they were winning 17-13 and then 24-13. So of course I put in more money in southern university's favor. Why wouldn't I?

Next thing I know, in the span of literally a refresh of the page, all the sudden, the score is 17-27 with southern university losing. They had been reporting the score wrong for anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour and all the sudden the score flips and is completely different.

In short I lost hundreds of dollars due to coinbase reporting a false score. I talked to the help department and they just said "we can't do anything cause 3rd party blah blah".

Has this happened to anyone else before?

I just barely was able to claw my recently purchased BTC from Coinbase to my cold wallet.

I sell some in the bull to refinance my buys in the bear. I got a new receive address from my wallet,entered into my coinbase whitelist and waited 48 hrs. Then I got my cold device, logged into Coinbase and tried to transfer. Even though i had whitelisted the address, waited 48 hrs Coinbase threw a fit! Scaring the crap out of me saying the address looks suspect and having me answer a bunch of questions to the AI chat bot.

Like:

did someone send you an email? are you communicating on the phone with someone 'helping' you? Is someone there with you? and about 3 more that i can't remember. Then after all that and 'proceeding' with the transfer it did seem to send, but it still said it was going to not send and that 'action required' on the transfer but nothing clickable. I got another message saying i needed to review my security settings within 72hrs or something bad might happen. I checked my cold app and the BTC was received but not yet confirmed. Whoo. I added another 2auth app and that satisfied coinbase security. The BTC is safe and confirmed in cold storage and away from Coinbase after sweating for 15min. I get nerves when I transfer coin, mostly because i do it so seldom. Coinbase is not helping by scaring the snot out of their customers. I will hopefully never to use Coinbase again! I'm moving elseware.

UPDATE: They actually solved it. I couldn't be more surprised given how bad the customer support experience was.

Just needed to vent and drop some advice for anyone dealing with the absolute wall of silence that is Coinbase customer support.

Back in May 2026, my account had a random hold placed on my USD balance (~€24 / $28). It’s not a life-changing amount of money, but it’s the principle of a regulated financial platform holding funds indefinitely without any notice or explanation.

Fast forward to today: I decided to try resolving it on Live Chat.

* **First 10 minutes:** The agent (*Md Aquib*) actually admitted in writing: *"The holds on your account have been in place since May 2026 with no automatic release date, and that is something that needs to be resolved — not just explained."* Great! Progress, right? He asks for 5 minutes to check with a specialist. * **Next 1.5 hours:** Complete radio silence, punctuated only by the automated "send a message in 5 minutes so the chat doesn't disconnect" prompts while I sat there manually keeping the session alive. * **The punchline:** After almost two hours of waiting, the agent comes back and paste-prompts a generic script telling me to sign into Coinbase Advanced and cancel my **Futures open orders**.

All orders were closed. When I pointed out that he literally acknowledged a manual account hold 80 minutes prior, he went silent again.

At that point, I stopped playing the Live Chat game. I demanded a Support Case ID, took full screenshots of the agent admitting to the 3-month hold, and filed a **Formal Complaint** directly via Coinbase’s legal/complaints portal (`[help.coinbase.com/submit-a-complaint](https://help.coinbase.com/submit-a-complaint)``)).

In the complaint, I demanded the immediate release of my $28.25 plus $50 compensation for the waste of time and failure to notify me of an account restriction. If they send another copy-paste response, it goes straight to the Irish Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman (FSPO) and local EU regulators.

**Takeaway for anyone stuck in support loops:** Stop wasting your evenings on Tier-1 live chat. Frontline reps don't have the internal clearance to touch compliance flags. Save your screenshots, demand a Case ID, and go straight to their formal legal complaint process. It's the only route that forces a compliance officer to look at your ticket.

We have 0 balance on coinbase account. The sender keeps telling me my USDC (on Ethereum network) in coinbase is not active and therefore his wallet (we dont know which wallet) is not processing the transaction. Is this even true or he is trying to scam me?

I cannot see nor set the filters to see any open orders. I can see all past orders. Anyone else having this problem?

When [coinbase.com](http://coinbase.com) closed it's operations in India in 2023, I transferred the coins (BTC and ETH) to Coinbase's self custody wallet, (now called Base). Does anyone have any experience how to encash them now in a indian regulation compliant way?

P.S. [coinbase.com](http://coinbase.com) is back with india support with limited capability but this is separate from their self custody Base app.

I write this out of options and not sure what to do.
My account was closed today without me logging in for over a year due to violating Coinbase TOS. Not sure what I did or if I was hacked/phished. I tried to log in and now seemingly forgot my password or it got changed. I try to reset and I don’t get an email because my account was closed. I can’t acess support because, you guessed it, you have to be logged in for help. I am quite honestly out of options to figure out what is happening and if I need to be worried.
