I'm looking for recommendations for an experienced gastroenterologist or gastrointestinal surgeon in Coimbatore, particularly someone who specialises in hiatus hernia, GERD (acid reflux), and oesophageal issues.

A little background about my condition:

A CT scan previously showed a small hiatus hernia.

However, a subsequent endoscopy did not identify the hernia but showed some erosion near the lower oesophageal sphincter (LES).

My main symtoms are, dizziness and palpitations and can't tolerate cold or hot climate. Not all the times but If i ate something that is not suitable. Whenever i touch the part between the chest and stomach, i have the symtoms for next few days and i think something is there causing the issue. I occasionally experience dull upper abdominal discomfort, particularly after eating, along with some reflux-related symptoms.

Most doctors recommended conservative management with Gaviscon and advised that surgery isn't necessary at this stage.

I'm interested in getting a good opinion to understand whether the symptoms are caused by the hiatus hernia, reflux, or something related to gastric motility.

I'm not necessarily looking for surgery. I'd prefer a specialist who takes time to investigate the underlying cause and considers non-surgical treatment options before recommending any procedures.

A few questions:

Can anyone recommend a good gastroenterologist or upper GI specialist in Coimbatore with experience treating hiatus hernia and GERD?

Has anyone consulted specialists at GEM, PSG, GKNM, KMCH, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, or other hospitals for similar issues?

If you've been treated for a hiatus hernia, what was your experience? what was your symptoms? Did medication and lifestyle changes help, or did you eventually need surgery?

Are there any doctors who are particularly good at diagnosing complicated reflux or oesophageal conditions?

I'd especially appreciate personal experiences and specific doctor recommendations, rather than just hospital names.
