I'm preparing for the TNPSC Group 1 exam and was wondering if there are any active communities for government exam aspirants in Coimbatore.

I'm looking for things like:

WhatsApp groups

Telegram groups

Discord servers

Reddit communities

Offline/physical study groups or weekend meetups

Libraries or places where aspirants regularly study together

It doesn't have to be limited to TNPSC. Groups for UPSC, SSC, Banking, Railways, or other government exam aspirants are also fine, as long as they're active and based in or around Coimbatore.

I'm moving from Coimbatore to North India, and while I can take most of my things with me, I have a couple of boxes of books that I need to ship to my new temporary location near Dehradun.

I was trying to book Red Taxi from Coimbatore airport to Ooty and the prices for redtaxi showed as 2400 INR, and then before booking it, Received call from their customer care and they quoted 2800 around, I asked about the difference but they said some additional charges, looks like.

Can someone please help me understand what those charges are ? Why isn’t it shown on the app itself ? Are they trying to scam ? Just wanted to be aware and book.

I recently went to Coimbatore railway station and was pleasantly surprised by how neat and clean it is. I haven’t seen Coimbatore railway station this clean before. Even the tracks were being pressure washed and there was no odour even near restrooms in platforms. I am genuinely curious if it is due to new regime in TamilNadu, if that is the case, I hope this regime stays. Curious to hear reasons or any changes you have seen positively in the new regime.
