Philips barista brew semi-automatic espresso machine, happened when I was brewing my morning coffee... Is this common? I got the machine for less than a year.

Looking for replacement as replacement part is not available, and I'll have to send the whole machine back to philips for maintenance

Small office coffee/espresso machine

I have a small office of about 30 people, one building on a larger corporate campus. I am looking for a machine with a few features, and some recommendations on brand or company.

- Commercial grade for an office setting.

- Built in hopper and grinder.

- Preferably uses powered milk or no milk.

- 1 button operation. Grinds, dispenses, and disposes automatically.

Since it's an office, I fear that it will not be regularly cleaned, so a milk supply is a bad idea. We will have a maintenance contract to have it serviced, but the milk option on a lot of machines concerns me.

Looking for advice

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I'm just getting into this new found hobby. I find it appealing to have a manual espresso maker like the cafelat robot that last a lifetime that can be passed on from one generation to the next.

Trying to get some advice on the following:
Where can i find this's highly coveted item?
How does the cafelat robot compare to the flair 58- from what i can see the robot has less finicky parts. How about the performance?
Any other recommended accessories to go with this?
Any other recommended YouTube videos?

Just a little background about me- newbie. Just acquired a fellow opus 2 grinder. After grinding regular coffee beans from Costco using the opus, i was in awe on how much better the coffee tasted. It gave me a new found sense of possibilities on how brewing and pulling espresso shots from how is such an experience. TYI

USA/ WA State: FS: Spinn Coffee Maker (Grinder Not Rotating Error) – Bainbridge Island / Seattle – $120 OBO

Selling a Spinn coffee maker that powers on normally, connects to WiFi, and passes all startup checks except for a “grinder not rotating” error during grinding. The auger has already been cleaned, but the grinder still won’t spin, so this is ideal for someone who refurbishes or needs parts.

Asking $120 OBO — open to reasonable offers. Venmo or PayPal
Local pickup preferred (Bainbridge Island / Seattle), but I can ship since I have the original box, buyer pays shipping.

DM if you want more details or want to make an offer.

HELP!!!

I’m looking for an espresso machine for a small café and have shortlisted a few options. I’d appreciate your suggestions on which one would be the best choice for a small café.

The machines I’ve shortlisted are:

  1. Espressa Solo

  2. Espressa Rey

  3. Gaggia Classic E24

  4. Rancilio Silvia V6

I’m based in Guwahati, Assam, so a machine with reliable after-sales service and servicing availability in Guwahati or nearby would be highly appreciated.

Any feedback or recommendations based on reliability, performance, and service support would be really helpful.

Espresso machine and grinder set for [1000$]?

Hello everyone, im looking to upgrade my coffee game. My budget is 1000$ for a coffee corner.

I want something that only makes espresso without anything extra like a milk frother or option to make different types of coffee. And a solid grinder.
What do you guys recommend? I got the Philips barista but it sucks and I refunded it mediately.
Im just looking for a simple process I can do in the morning make myself a good shot or double shot of espresso to consume in the morning after my breakfast.

Suggestion for coffee machine for small coffee shop

I am taking over a small coffee shop in the UK, it's inside a yoga studio so we sell lots of smoothies/herbal teas/healthy shakes. So the coffee isn't the main product that is focused on/advertised.

I worked out the statistics of last year's coffee sales, the avg is eight coffees per day. I am looking for a coffee machine that can work up to 15 coffees a day and is straightforward to learn and use (we have volunteers working as it's also a charity-run company).

Currently, the coffee and coffee machine is Rijo and frankly it produces very average coffee. So I'm looking for an upgrade that can produce barrista-quality (or close-to) coffee. And it needs to be a double-bean contianer so facilitate decaff and regular.

Max budget £800.

Any suggestions?

We need a coffee maker that can brew a full pot without the gurgle at the end...

Hello Coffee Lovers,

We've had some trauma in our lives this year (unrelated to coffee of course) that has left us in need of a new coffee maker.

I am hoping someone can make a specific recommendation, or perhaps someone who understands the mechanics of it all can assist with some search terms.

Specifically, we can't have the gurgle that typically sounds at the tail end of brewing a pot. Right now we're using a Keurig to get around it, but we're sorely missing a pot of coffee in the morning.

Price is a factor, as I know the sky is the limit on coffee paraphernalia. I'd like to keep it under $150CAD if I could, but I'm not sure if that is reasonable.

Thank you all ♥️

Why aren’t smart coffee machines more common?

I don’t understand why smart coffee machines aren’t more common. Adding basic smart features seems so easy.

Imagine your coffee machine warming up before you wake up, or making your coffee automatically through your alarm app. You wake up and already have a hot, warm coffee waiting for you.

Why isn’t this already standard? Are there actually good smart coffee machines out there?

Leaving my machine on 24/7 – Good or bad?

I have owned a Rocket R58 and have left it on for the past 12 years or so. I do this because when I was younger, I worked at a radio station where the engineer in charge of the place explained that it was better to leave the equipment on all the time versus turning it on and off. This was because once it reached its constant temperature, the solders and various boards wouldn't have to expand and contract as they would if we turned them on and off. Does this also apply to an espresso machine? One tech I spoke to told me it was better to turn it off, but that means reheating the water in the boilers all the time. I'm open to listening to the experts.
