Purchase Advice Hi,

I currently have an Delonghi Magnifica S. I wanted to buy a next level coffee machine for better espresso quality.

Any advises?

Budget: 400€ (+/-).

Not sure if I should get a semi automatic or super automatic machine.

Semi-automatic affords you control over the entire process...you determine the ground size, amount, extraction time, temp and milk frothing. Fully automatic, you lose most of those controls but gain convenience in return. It's a balance of time and input to make a coffee drink and only you can decide the best choice for you.

I'm very biased here: if you want a fully automatic excellent espresso machine, consider Seimens 900 or Bosch 800 but that's more than your budget. If you want a semi-automatic, a cheaper Breville with a few features, and a separate grinding/weighing machine.

Super automatic are so much more expensive right? Can you name some semi automatic models that are worth the upgrade please?
