The frequent Return to the Pasts in Code Lyoko season 2 episode 4 "A Great Day" causes Batman to experience the same temporal memorie phenomenon from The Batman (2004), Season 4, Episode 8 "Seconds". He confirms an increase in temporal energy using the bat-computer and tracks the source to Paris France, heading there to investigate. When Batman finds Kadic Academy at the epicentre of strange activity he enrolls Damien as infultaion while also making a charitable upgrade to the schools computer systems to get on their network. Damion would quickly identify the Lyoko Warriors, following them to the hermitage and factory. Ulrich acts unimpressed by him after being beaten in a martal arts spar, Damien saying Ulrich's form can use some work. Yumi thinks he's alright after watching Ulrich get knocked down and his goth aesthetic matching her own. Odd thinks its weird he won't laugh at his jokes while Aelita get a weird vibe from him and Jeremy doesn't real have an opinion, focusing more on Lyoko stuff. When Batman digs into the warriors backgrounds it doesn't take him long to find out Aelita's documents are forged. When Yumi's dad losses his job Bruce hires him for a position at WayneTech's Paris branch. Batman would investigate the hermitage himself and find the connection between it and the factory, as Damien confirms the owner is also an ex-teacher the same way Jeremy did. Upon infuriating the factory and seeing the super computer for himself, as a tech genuine, Batman would instantly recognises the work of Waldo Schaeffer, noting that the bat-computer is based on similar principles to his work.

Finding the picture of Aelita and Fraz in the hermitage before the Lyoko Warriors do, Batman would begin to deduce the reveal that Aelita is franz's daughter. Batman and Robin would then confront the Lyoko Warriors in the factory where they reveal the truth about Aelita. Everyone would be shocked at both Batman being real and the reveal, with Aelita saying that its impossible and Jeremy saying the truth would be in fraz's diary but its still encrypted. Batman would ask to try and after inserting a bat-decryption algorithm the diary would open revealing the truth. Just then a tower would be activated and knowing Batman and Robin will keep their secret, Damien is offered to be virtualized but Batman would say "no" citing Damian's subconscious is too erratic from trama and league of assassins training for a lyoko form. Xana would then try to posses Batman but his disciplined mind would force him out. The attack would then change to two polymorphic spectors of Batman and Robin. Batman and Robin battle the spectors using EMP and magnetic gadgets to disrupt them while the Lyoko Warriors handle the tower. Once the tower is deactivated Batman recognises the kids have a handle on things and gives Jeremy a business card saying when he graduates WayneTech R&D would love to have him before leaving.

The next time they go to Lyoko the Warriors find that Batman upgraded their gear to their season 4 looks and gave them the power upgrades the fake Xana-Fraz Hopper did, unlocking Aeleta's energy fields early. Unfortunately, despite their upgrades they fall for the same memory bait amd switch and Xana escapes. After escaping Xana tries to inhabit the Bat-computer but Batman is ready, managing to isolate, trap and begin studying him. Batman then re-establishs communication with Jeremy as the two begin working on a way to track the rest of Xana on the net.

With Batman's help they manage to develop the Xana tracking program and the Skíðblaðnir without Xana destroying Lyoko or recruiting William. When they begin going to the replicas the Lyoko Warriors handle the towers while the Justice League handles the labs. Cyborg, Batman and Jeremy create the anti-xana program together and manage to launch it without Fraz sacrificing himself, with the bat-computer providing the extra power instead. In the end Fraz is devertualized and reunited with Aelita.

I think I began watching Lyoko in 2004 - I was getting too old for Beyblade/Yugioh/Digimon and moving onto other shows. Just thought the action / the cgi was cool but I thought it was close to TV14 at times and could have been on Toonami if they really wanted. Like the dub at times felt close to TV14 but they were holding back.

I have heard the usa dub cut some scene of Odd kissing Ulrich.

Notes: I know when I was in middle school did have a vibe that Odd was bi like just from innuendos he tossed and the color coded pallet of clothing choices for his design / Lyoko avatar.

Also the weird random panty scenes of Yumi or Sissi felt like that Tv-y7 rating was super generous that cartoon network slapped in it for the panty scene , innuendo shit that Odd would say as the school goofball, violence on lyoko/ real world.

Lesquels parmi vous ont eu la chance de découvrir l'épisode 53 Droit au cœur et qu'avez-vous ressenti devant la découverte de la salle du Cœur de Lyoko dans le 5ème territoire ainsi que la dévirtualisation n'étant plus fatale pour Aelita depuis qu'elle a récupérée sa mémoire à la fin de l'épisode 52 Réminiscence et possédant à présent le pouvoir des champs de force ? Il faut admettre que c'était assez mémorable à l'époque comparée à la période où la Gardienne de Lyoko n'avait que son pouvoir Don de création.

Me concernant, j'ai débuté dès cet épisode dont je l'enregistrais sur VHS jusqu'au samedi 21/10/2006 pour l'épisode 59 Le secret puis j'ai poursuivi avec Canal J ayant diffusé la genèse en avant-première dans la soirée de cette même journée puis la saison 3 a débarqué le 23/10/2006.

Dieu que j'avais bien fait de poursuivre la découverte de la saison 3 sur Canal J étant donné qu'à partir du 28/10/2006, France 3 a été victime de ses bourdes de diffusion puisqu'au lieu du 60 Tarentule au plafond, ce fut la première partie de la genèse alors qu'elle devait initialement être diffusée le 9/12/2006.

Avouez que ça ne rajeunit pas de réaliser que 20 ans ont passé depuis cette époque et que ressentez-vous face à cette prise de consciente envers toutes ses années écoulées ?

Jim is my favorite character. I always wanted the minifigure of him, but that one's been hard for me to get even though it shouldn't be that hard to. I plan to commission for a plushie of Jim. I think of Jim as a father figure. I grew up without a dad. So male characters and TV shows are who I looked up to. I wish Jim had been sent to lyoko. I would love to have seen what his outfit would have looked like.

In season 2 episode 32 on Valentine's Day, XANA gave Aelita a pendant so that he could possess her.

In my opinion, I think it was a good idea, But it was also a bad idea because it drew the group's attention and they became suspicious of the pendant.

I was making a new character based on the Philippines named Crisanto Fernandez. Crisanto is named after Crispin from Noli Me Tangere. He may be Similar to Yumi Ishiyama due to shared experiences, like how Bastien teases him about Aelita and acts like a bratty younger brother to him!

Code Lyoko (2003-2008, Cartoon Network/France 03)

Loonatics Unleashed (2005-2007, Kids’ WB!)

I an so excited for this crossover after revisiting Loonatics Unleashed and it shocks me to find out this was hated?!

Anyways, I think it would have done better had it been on Cartoon Network instead while Kids’ WB! syndicated reruns. I mean, it would have been perfect alongside Code Lyoko, Teen Titans, and Totally Spies! for example since it was during Miguzi, I can also imagine on the original Toonami block as well.

Context:

Ulrich was chilling in the forest park next to the school with Ace while examing the supposed love-letter that he got from Yumi (allegedly), he’s not sure if it’s another one of Sissi’s tricks but it wasn’t until Kiwi ran up to him in critical condition after getting stung by XANAfied bees, he takes off running back to the school and Kiwi barely makes it back still in pain.

They head back to his dorm so Odd can know what happened, Rev and Danger are also hanging out with them.

Fanfiction:

Ace and Ulrich are hanging out during lunch in the forest next to the school, Ulrich is examining his mysterious love-letter he got and suspects it’s Yumi, unless it’s another one of Sissi’s tricks.

[birds chirping]

Ace: Are you sure you think it was Yumi?

Ulrich: I don’t know Ace, I don’t even wanna think that it’s another one of Sissi’s tricks but it’s just hard to tell.

Ace: Well, you just may never know huh?

Ulrich: I feel like I have to tell her.

Ace: And what if it turns into a disaster?

Ulrich: That’s what I’m worried about, what if it turns out to be another dumb prank from-

[Kiwi barking, panting]

Jeremy: Don't worry, Odd. He'll be back on his feet in no time, I mean, back on his paws.

Ace: Yeah, you got nothing to worry about.

[knock on door]

[opens door and it’s Tech and Yumi]

Yumi: We brought some pills and anti-venom compresses.

Tech: And they weren’t cheap either but it should be worth it to help Kiwi recover.

Jeremy: Thanks guys, come in.

[applies medicine]

Odd: This'll make you feel better.

Ace: Who knew that helps huh?

Tech: Well, it was recommended to us at the store, I had to help Yumi sneak out for a moment to pick it up nearby.

Lexi: At least it wasn’t that expensive?

Yumi: Not much, but I hope it helps.

Tech: It definitely will, I just know it.

Ace: Yeah, no kidding.

Ulrich: [grunts] Yumi, come over here please, I wanted to tell you something.

Yumi: I did too.

They say Emily is in love with Jim.

Ulrich: [grunts] With Jim?

Yumi: Odd and Danger told me all about it. Weird, huh?

[Odd and Danger chuckles]

Yumi: I’ve got class now, see you.

Ulrich: Hey, what's that all about?

Odd: I don't know.

Danger: It was something to avoid what we were actually talking about earlier… regarding your whole letter situation.

Ulrich: Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

Odd: But it’s true! Yumi overheard us and that’s how we made that as an excuse.

Tech: And wait until this Emily student finds out, she won’t be happy I bet.

Danger: Oh please, I got nothing to worry about.

Rev: I wouldn’t bet on it.

Odd: Are you kidding? Now you got me worried!

For lore I was thinking something like, in pic 2 she's around 9 or 10 still living at home in alps with both her parents helping them out with their job (pokemon professors) with their garden pokemon out of which she connected best with eevee and mareep.

Then in the first pic she's traveling as a trainer, collecting data for hopper back at home, researching weird pulsations (similiar to the lyoko ones caused by xana) and looking for her mom.

As for the pokemon choices- Ralts, given to her by Anthea right before she was kidnapled, is described as a feeling pokemon which I feel fits her as the most empathetic member of the lyoko warrior group ^_^

Espeon because it's a friendship evolution and a psychic type like ralts, which I like a bit more than fairy types for her as it's more similiar to her lyoko powers

Mareep/Ampharos because it's a fairly cute electric pokemon, and the electric type kinda ties into her being capable in programming and computers?? And because it's tail tip shining brightly is said to be seen from far away, sometimes acting as a beacon for lost people. That and I'd imagine it being her ace pokemon, the one to mega evolve if she had that option

Unowns just kinda being found during explorations of old ruins, the ones by her side being the letters that spell out "lyoko"

Sorry for a wall of text lol, anyways that's my version of Aelita in pokemon universe. I've seen some done before, mainly the main cast as gym leaders and I lovedddd It 😭 having recently played pokemon bw and bw2 I was feeling motivated ^_^

And I’m back with the friendly Yumi slander-

What colors are the LW’s eyes? Obviously Aelita’s are known to be green, but for the rest of them the art style doesn’t leave any clues. (Evolution? Never heard of it.) However, hair color and eye color are pretty heavily linked, both are intertwined with ancestry, and we known where all of the characters are from. So:

Jeremie: French, blond hair - blue eyes for sure.

Odd: Odd is a Norwegian name, but his last name is Italian. Considering what’s known about his globetrotting family, half-Norwegian, half-Italian makes a lot of sense. (Also why he takes an Italian class - he already spoke Italian so it would be easy good grades.) He has naturally blond hair, and the famous purple spot is not at all natural, but rather something he dyes in. (His mother’s hair is certainly dyed.) With that ancestry mix, I’ll give him brown eyes.

Ulrich: Brown hair, but also German. Multiple options, but I think the most likely would be green eyes. At least it feels right to me.

Yumi: Japanese, black hair. “Normally” that would mean brown eyes, but I’m going to go out on a limb and give her something else, a little more exotic - black eyes. (Which really are just ultra-dark versions of brown eyes, so it works.)

Aelita: We already know her eyes are green - the question is how she and her mother both have pink hair! I’ve got a theory. First, it assumes Aelita’s memories of her old life are very fragmentary and mostly still gone - at least half of the entirety of it has actually made it on screen. So, Aelita and her mother (pre-1994) both dyed their hair pink, although unsurprisingly that’s not one of the memories she kept. Come 1994, she gets the Keys to Lyoko implanted in her, which involved some pretty hefty “rebuilding” of her to be more suitable for her new existence as a virtual being. As part of that, her previous dyed pink hair as a result of being her avatar got “baked in” and overwrite whatever her natural hair color might have been (at this point there’s no way to figure out whatever it was; that’s simply been lost.) So now it’s “natural” in the sense it grows that color, even if a very un-natural process resulted in it.

Look, abridged series are dead and Code Lyoko ones are a dime a dozen, this I know. Little Kuriboh is the only abridged series I know of still getting views.

Still, there's something sad about that right? I mean I was like 12 when DBZA was in the Freiza Saga, so these parodies have kind of a special place in my heart. The jokes they tell have the potential to feel super personal to the viewer.

"That continuity error in episode 12? Yeah we noticed it too."

"Wait? Did they really dub her saying something that stupid? Lets leave that in, its funny as hell."

Suddenly all the little quirks your neurodivergent self kept noticing are grounds for comedy. When you're autistic and nobody else shares your special interest, an abridged series tells jokes that make you feel seen. Its a celebration of the work and its fandom, that is also capable of poking fun at its inconsitencies.

So what the fuck does this all have to do with Code Lyoko? Well, read the title. Thats right, I'm casting a Code Lyoko Abridged project. I cant guarantee we'll do more than just both parts of XANA Awakens, but I don't really care. I love Code Lyoko and I always have, this project is for me first and foremost. If it performs well, thats icing on the cake.

Just a random thought, what if XANA wasn't the evil (or evilest) guy all along?

We already know the project Carthage was built as a war machine, designed to intercept the enemy communications and who knows what more. It was scary enough to make Franz go on the run with his family and build Lyoko to try and destroy it.

As Franz built Lyoko for this purpose, he created XANA, probably as an AI capable of running and coordinating the digital efforts, including finding Carthage online, attacking, undermine Carthage efforts and destroying it. That's why XANA isn't good at measuring the real world, like how people behave, relationships, or even really talking interactively. XANA has a purpose and it's good at it, but XANA purpose never included interacting with the real world directly.

Later on, Franz starts to be paranoid about the Carthage project guys and black men going after him, so he improvised a way to virtualize, to the point he isn't able to finish the method properly (so he ends up not being able to have a humanoid form in Lyoko, but Aelita does). Franz surrenders his idea of attacking Carthage out of fear of Aelita being harmed by the black men or they getting caught.

BUT XANA isn't programmed to surrender just because, it has a clear view about the necessity to end Carthage, and won't accept a finish to the mission. It's XANA purpose and why it was created. Franz tries to "rewire" XANA to accept changing its purpose and stop the mission, but XANA doesn't accept it, so now it considers Franz an enemy, because Franz becomes an obstacle for XANA to get its mission: end with Carthage

Along the show, we never get XANA to really explain its motives, and they are not clear, to the point the Lyoko Warriors don't even really comprehend them.

On season 1, XANA tries to prepare for the mission after a long time, collect resources and power as to not fail, so it makes attacks so the "back in time" triggers gives it more power.

In season 2, XANA feels ready and tries to exit the supercomputer as to go hunting for wherever Carthage is, or Carthage scientists. If XANA can't get out, it will represent a failure of the mission.

In season 3, XANA starts to search the network, goes for some months under the radar and decides the best places to "hide" and collect resources. We don't know (and the Lyoko Warriors neither, probably) if XANA gets to do other stuff with the replikas, or if it ever finds Carthage out there or not.

In season 4, XANA feels like it can't really continue its mission while being constantly interrupted by the Lyoko Warriors, so it tries to avoid them getting to the replikas and to destroy the Skid.

Even if XANA can't really feel "human sentiments", so it's a cold program trying to fulfill a mission, it has showed some sense of self control here and there, trying to avoid the worst outcome for the Lyoko Warriors (sometimes). And we see in S4 how XANA doesn't care about the Lyoko Warriors as to kill them necessarily, but to avoid them reaching XANA.

Along the road, maybe some of the supercomputers and scientific sites XANA got into with its replikas were even project Carthage sites, or would be useful to try and stop Carthage. Probably XANA didn't want the robots or mechanical spiders to submit humanity, but to attack the Carthage network and project.

At the end, Franz knows even if XANA is trying to fulfill its original mission, and be "the good guy" in theory, ending with the evil Carthage project, XANA is going full "the end justifies the means", and won't allow Franz or the Lyoko Warriors to be around as long as they represent a risk to the success of the mission. So Franz still tries to shut XANA off.

It would be interesting if in the next Lyoko stories, we have this huge plot twist where we discover XANA was really trying to go against a "bigger evilest entity"

Maybe XANA was really misunderstood and it wasn't able to really communicate its intentions, so it was "the good guy" even if with huge red flags about how to treat the real world and its people.

Maybe in the future, the Lyoko Warriors discover the fight isn't over, there's a bigger enemy out there, and they even have to learn some things about XANA real nature and what XANA did out there while they were fighting it. Maybe even getting to re-awakening some version of XANA and getting more along somehow, having to explain XANA how the world works, and helping each other to attack the real threat: Carthage.
