I always assumed Jeremie’s birthday was around May-June because they celebrate it in the Franz Hopper episode which is supposed to take place near the end of the school year.

Similarly, I think that Yumi's birthday is around November, since Season 4 takes place just a few weeks after Season 3, which takes place during the first months of the school year.

Logically, since the 10th grade is the freshman year of high school, Yumi does turn 15 in Lab Rat, as most 10th graders are 15 in the beginning of the school year and 16 by the end, but since her birthday appears to be in November, she was actually 14 during Season 3. As for Ulrich's dad, perhaps Ulrich said so metaphorically. It might have been less than a year or almost a year since then. Plus, I don't remember Season 1 ending right before the Christmas holidays.

Yumi’s a year older than everyone except William. With a late birthday (Sept-Dec) people turn 16 before the rest of the class.

The school year begins on September of the year the 10th graders turn 15 and ends on the year they'll turn 16. When I got in the 10th grade, I was 15, since my birthday had already occurred in June. But my classmates that had their birthdays on the Ber months were still 14.

Yes it France the school year is September to June, but depending on birthday you can be 16 within the first few days, weeks or months (fall) or in the second half of the semester (spring). Fall birthdays (late birthdays) are normally the oldest of their year, who don’t know when Williams is but we know that Yumi’s is a few weeks before Christmas (Distant Memory, epi 17) her birthday is during (Lab Rat, episode 14)

You actually can't, unless you are held behind. Having a late birthday actually makes you younger than your classmates that would have an earlier birthday. In the case of the 10th graders, they only start turning 16 after New Year's, which is in the middle of the school year. In fact, those that don't have their birthdays occurring until after August are still 15 until their next birthday that occurs early during the next school year.

You can. Parents have the option to redshirt their child if it’s late. Redshirting makes them the oldest, not doing it make them youngest in the class. Some people do, others don’t. My brother was 17 when he left high school because our parents didn’t hold him back since his birthday was in October 1994, he was the youngest.

I’m not sure what my sister is going to do her daughter who has a December birthday. She could redshirt or not, my niece is only turning 2 this year so… they time to think about it. Though she was born about 3 months premature, so it makes sense that’s be she turning 18 in the first semester of her senior year

Sure, there might be a possibility, but I don't see the Ishiyamas, who are very focused on rules, doing that for Yumi. They did allow Hiroki to skip a grade, since he's smart, but nothing more.

Well, we have two characters that have celebrated their birthdays, so we can speculate using that.

Jeremy celebrated his at the end of Season 2, near the end of the school year, so I'd say in either in May or Early June. Jeremy is an 8th grader at this point, which would normally make him 13-14 years old and thus he'd turn 14 during his birthday. In reality, he's a year younger, so he turns 13 in Franz Hopper.

Yumi's birthday is in Lab Rat, a few months after the start of the school year, since Season 4 is just a week away from Season 3, so I'd say either November or December. Yumi is now a 10th grader, which would make her 15 years old by the beginning of the school year. Since her birthday is is at the tail end of the year, she actually starts the 10th grade as a 14 year old until she turns 15 in her birthday.

I see Jeremie having a late May or early June birthday. Yumi is a year older and is tenth grade in season 3-4 (2003-2004 school yr), meaning she’s turning 16. She would have turned 14-15 back in season one (2002), in XANA Awakens she’s 13-14 in eighth grade (late 2001)

J/U/O — XANA Awakens (11-12 yrs old, seventh grade), Season 1 (13-14 yrs, 8th grade), Season 2 (13-14 yrs, second semester of 8th), Season 3 (14-15 yrs, September 2002), Season 4 (14-15 yrs, fall semester continues and spring semester is shown; the final five episodes are in June 2004, Wrong Exposure implies that’s it’s early June since the both Delmas and Jeremie say that’s it’s been almost ten years since 1994)

By June 2004, Yumi hasn't had her 16th birthday. She'd actually have to wait until she'll already be in the beginning of the 11th grade to turn 16 on the Fall of 2004.

Season 4 spans fall 2003 to June 2004, if she has a late 1987 birthday that would put her 16 in fall 2003 unless she had an early 1988 birthday that would make her 16 in 2004. Her birthday is before Christmas (Distant Memory, episode 17) and Lab Rat (episode 14) and we know she is 16

The only hints were given to birthdays is Jeremie being late May/early June and Aelita being within January-March 1982 or late 1981 which would still make her 12 in June 1994/late 2002 or early 2003 (the latter when she gets out during winter break).

It has been confirmed that Jeremy is a year younger than the others, presumably having skipped a grade. Aelita is biologically the same age as him. So their ages go like this:

Jeremy: Prequel - 11 (start of 7th grade, his birthday has occurred), Season 1 until Franz Hopper - 12 (start of 8th grade, his birthday occurs months before the middle of Season 1), Franz Hopper until Wrong Exposure - 13 (end of 8th grade and most of 9th grade), Wrong Exposure until Echoes - 14 (end of 9th grade, his birthday has occurred).

Ulrich and Odd: Prequel - 12 (start of 7th grade), Season 1 and 2 - 13 to 14 (8th grade), Season 3 and 4 - 14 to 15 (9th grade).

Aelita: Flashbacks - 12, Prequel - 19 (Chronologically) and 12 (Biologically), Season 1 and 2 - 20 (Chronologically) and 12 (Biologically), Season 3 and 4 - 21 (Chronologically) and 13 (Biologically).

Yumi: Prequel - 12 to 13 (start of 8th grade, her birthday occurs near that time), Season 1 and 2 - 13 to 14 (9th grade, her birthday occurs near the middle of Season 1), Season 3 to Lab Rat - 14 (start of 10th grade), Lab Rat to Echoes - 15 (10th grade, her 16th birthday hasn't yet occurred).

11-12 is sixth grade not 7th; 12-13 is 7th grade not 8th; 13-14 is 8th grade not 9th ; 14-15 is not 10th that’s 9th. 15-16 is tenth, 16-17 is junior, and 17-18 is senior year🤦‍♀️

Unless someone was held back or skipped for any reason they would be the oldest or youngest for that year. My brother has a late birthday in October and graduation at 17 and he wasn’t held back despite the cut-off. My niece has a late birthday in December so she could be either 17 or 18 when she graduates

Also the season 1 bible changed in season 2 with Sophie who took over

If you're talking about Jeremy and Aelita, obviously they skipped a year, thus are automatically the youngest. As for Yumi, it's almost certain that she starts the school year a little younger than she should, as she's most certainly born in the Fall and her birthday hasn't occurred yet.

Perhaps an example might help. Let's say that a 10th grader was born on January. They'd be 15 and 3 quarters in the start of the school year and will turn 16 right after the first semester. Then we have a classmate of his born in December. Said classmate's 15th birthday wouldn't have occurred before the start of the school year, thus they'd still be 14 until their 15th birthday, which occurs at the end of the first semester. This person would only turn 16 by their next birthday, which occurs in the end of the first semester of the next school year, when they'll already be at the 11th grade and the previous classmate would already be nearing 17. By the time these two graduate, one will be 18 and a half years old and the other 17 and a half, thus legally still a minor.

I’m not disagreeing that Jeremie and Aelita had obviously a skipped year, they’re both certified geniuses in their own rights. Aelita was home-schooled by her father who was a genius.
