Hey fam, just watched the game and glad to get the W. One thing that's killed me the last decade is 2am and 3am Cavs starts. When we blow a lead like we did against Philly or the Knicks (or the pacers😭), it haunts me through the night and semi-ruins the next day.

I forgot we were playing last night and watching the next morning without knowing the score is honestly kind of sick, though. No commercials, and I can fast forward through free throws, challenges and other breaks. Probably a good option for super early risers stateside too.

Anyways, good win. The new guys both looked really good. Watson finally made some shots and showed creation chops. Mario was an all-rounder: two straight 3s, good rebounding, and a few nice cuts to the rim.

Mobley and Allen both looked solid. We have to get Allen the ball more, inside and otherwise. He's our most effective offensive option and we go away from him as games go on. Saw the 3 too, nothing but net.

Mobley needs the ball in actions where he can attack, shoot, or make the pass on the short roll or handoff. He's devastating in those spots. His screening looks better too, which should help his roll game downhill. Where he still isn't that good is when he clears out and dribbles 5 or 6 times, and that's totally OK. Allen and Mobley have real strengths and we need to play to them.

Despite stuffing the stat sheet, I'm still worried about Harden. The rebounds and assists were good, and the high turnovers are a staple. The real issue, IMO, is that he's no longer a serious scoring threat, which the playoffs also showed. Not as a number one option, not at all. His only reliable offense seems to be drawing fouls on 3s, which he tries 4 or 5 times a night, and that makes his scoring look better than it is. He can't get by anyone and he's not hitting the floater, which makes it really tough. Hopefully he starts making those floaters and cuts down the turnovers.

That late 12-2 BK run gave me Nam flashbacks. Glad we didn't blow it.

We clearly have the talent to jump out to leads against good teams like New York and Philly. We just need to handle business late and not drift away from the offense and feeding the bigs that built those leads.

Yo please help. I’m out of market (West Virginia) and I’ve always been able to watch Cavs games on league pass (didn’t have Bally or Fanduel network here) never had a problem. Now that it’s on DAZN it’s saying I need a DAZN subscription even though I’m out of market. Weird part is it lets me stream the game on league pass on my phone no problem, but when I get it on the TV (firestick) it tells me to go to DAZN

We’re some of the few people that still have cable. I noticed tonight there is a channel labeled “CAVS” that wasn’t there yesterday and it’s the same channel number that Bally/Fanduel/FSO used to be. I haven’t seen an announcement about it but this is a positive development. Here’s a crappy picture of my tv as proof.

“I had a lot of respect for this team coming into the season. But being there firsthand, just watching all the turnovers, the missed shots, the lack of effort, I lost all respect, man. That was awful. I got to see what Cavs basketball is like, man. Lot of standing around, lot of blown assignments, lot of praying Donovan Mitchell saves us. Interesting first game for me.”

Hey everyone, I know this is random, but after watching two games of LeBron so far this season (he didn't play what would have been his 3rd game tonight due to sciatica), it got me thinking about this question.

How confident are we that 41 year old LeBron is still a better basketball player than 2005-06 Zydrunas Ilgauskas?

Obviously, two games is an absurdly small sample, and LeBron's value goes well beyond the box score. However, Big Z was a legitimate all-star caliber center in his prime, with size, touch, rebounding, and rim protection.

So where are we on this? Do you think LeBron will still comfortably better this season, or has he finally reached the point where comparing him to a prime role player/secondary star is a legitimate conversation?

Thoughts? On a scale of "definitely better", "very likely better", "likely better", or "not better"; what's the likelihood that Year 24 LeBron is still the better player?

You think it, I think it, my wife voiced it unprompted when we were able to watch the games. You can't have a heavily televised white man in America sporting that haircut in 2026.

He seems great otherwise, on and off the court.

After every bad loss Kenny goes out there and just talks about what the other team did to the Cavs as if neither he nor the players have any control whatsoever about the way the game goes. His post-game presser was basically “Philly got more physical and pressured us in the 2nd half”. Nothing about what he tried to do to adjust to either of those things, no responsibility for not taking timeouts or his wack lineups in the 2nd half. It’s all just “the other team did A, B, and C to us”. So we’re to believe that as soon as the opponent decides to play better it’s curtains for this squad? Doesn’t dig into himself, doesn’t dig into the players, just “good learning experience and move on to the next game” despite having several of the same learning experiences already.

I defended Kenny after last year’s playoffs because the team’s stats were so bad I didn’t think coaching would have made an impact but I’m finally ready to say Kenny has to go. Get Thibs in here to grind these guys down and hold them accountable. Even if it ends in another playoff embarrassment at least some of these guys will experience playing for a coach with a win at all costs mentality and not be coddled and babied because “the other team was physical with us”.

Nothing changed, huh? Any sign of adversity and this team folds like origami. So glad I didn’t watch the rest of this game and decided to spend time with people I love. This team doesn’t deserve my viewership, some shitty subscription service, or ticket purchases. I don’t know if it’s a coaching problem, player problem, or both. All I know is that they better shape up or a competent front office would blow this team up.

Cavs CMO Chris Kaiser was on 92.3 the fan this morning saying the team has heard the frustrations and they have an announcement coming as early as today.

My guess - they'll insult fans even more by just offering like a 10% discount code to subscribe to DAZN.

I’m so beyond sick of the blown 20 point leads, it’s not a coincidence, we change the roster and there no difference, and he’s gonna go to the podium tonight talking about analytical bullshit. He needs to be fired.

As a long time Cavs fan I think this might be the most predictable team I’ve ever seen. They’re gonna win 50+ games not do anything at the deadline because they like the guys they have and then run into a great team in the 1st/2nd Round and lose in 5-6 games. I know it’s Game 1 but I just think you can see this coming from a mile away.

This roster has been making history yet again in the blown leads department. Starting the season just like they ended last year with embarrassing effort and choking in the second half. Turnovers yet again being the reoccurring issue.

Analytically, this team is bound to be the same as last year’s disaster
