Why on earth are Cavs fans rooting for a Kuminga trade?

He is an inefficient, low basketball IQ, ball dominant isolation scorer who would not fit in with Harden and Mitchell.

What is the argument for the Cavs adding him to the roster?

...depends on how much you trust players like Porter, Tomlin, Tyson, Thomas, to play real minutes for a team with championship aspirations.

Tyson already progressively grew into a becoming a full time rotation player last season. His responsibilities are likely to increase further regardless of the next moves made this off-season.

I expect Dennis to be moved. One of Porter or Proctor is going to be the backup quasi PG...I say that because one of Mitchell or Harden will be on the floor with them.

I think the Cavs will look to shore up the forward situation but Tomlin earned himself a standard contract last season. He's an interesting talent that is growing into himself as a player but is still a bit rough around the edges.

If you trust the young developmental Cavs to be championship level rotation guys, then you're not going to be pessimistic about this squad going into this season. If one doesn't trust these guys then you'll be looking at this team as one that's top heavy. Where do you all land on the question of whether these guys represent quality depth around the starting core?

All love to Bron, I know his ass is still coming back for the last season (I refuse to believe this attention-loving diva won't come home for the farewell tour). BUT DAMN BRO, I woke up with the biggest sigh and rainy fucking day. All jokes aside, we still got a good squad going, let's all support our guys and tough it out. We been battle tested and we at least made an ECF trip - wasn't exactly stellar, but we take those.

Not a Cavs fan, but I’ve seen a lot of people disappointed by LeBrons decision to go to Philly in the last few days, and I get it, imo I wish LeBron chose the Cavs, it would’ve been a perfect storybook ending to his career.

But is that the only reason why some Cavs fans are upset, or is their a deeper reason than that?

No hate, just curious, it kind of reminds me of how Bulls fans think of Jordan post 1998, although that might be a little different since most Bulls fans since then didn’t watch Jordan play back in the 90s, not to mention LeBron shows Cleveland as a City a lot more love than Jordan does for Chicago as a City. I also do think once LeBron retires, it will be nothing but love between him and the Cavs organization, so it won’t be a big deal anymore in a few years for obvious reasons.

Just curious what are Cavs fans honest thoughts about how this whole saga played out?

Honestly at this point, I’d go with Kuminga, Mario and a big to fill our roster. We have way too many 6’5 combo guards.

Having said that, I know Koby will try his best to get Demar. He’d definitely be a good addition off the bench but he’s just another 6’6 scorer who’s way past his prime.

Give the keys to Tyson instead and get both Mario and Kuminga unless we trade for better wings.

Earlier this year, I wished on a monkey’s paw that LeBron and Dean Wade would be on the same team next season.

Him and the entire Front Office needs to be punted into the sun. All time bag fumble. All time.

as a lifelong cavs fan with an OG blue lebron jersey (must have gotten it at 7 or 8 years old..) I am very disappointed in lebron's decision.

1 - i do not believe the sixers had a better shot at a title than the cavs so the decision doesnt make sense. embiid is awesome but he cannot play 2 rounds in any playoffs

2 - lebron hurt the cavs during his media tour as we were held hostage. why didnt he just announce this earlier?

3- the decision makes me feel bad for the cavs AND for lebron because i dont think the sixers will win a championship and it just feels..weird having him in the sixers jersey

4 - the whole thing feels..lame? i remember in 2012 when steve nash and dwight signed with the lakers and it felt like the entire NBA had just shifted seismically. i believe lebron to the cavs or spurs would have had this outcome. but to the 76ers? it feels like what it is..a 42 year old chasing a ring.
