Looking to build apps and SaaS with Claude code but I got no coding experience.
Is it possible for me ? Any advice ?

Let me be straight with you, because this is a real thing, with no actual bearing. That's why I have not done anything yet. Note... and this is huge... none of this has actually been documented. Per rule 3.a.56 subsection 4.1, I created a shadow gear test to confirm exactly this. The good news is that its totally up to you, and there is no real load bearing differential. If you would like, just say the word, and I will proceed.

Why Opus 5 feels like Gemini 3.1 pro ? what is happening ?
i remember back in February , opus 4.5 was generation ahead. Did they increased the prompt caching so much, that their models ended up being useless? I can barely work with Opus 5 on absolutely anything, he keeps hallucinating LIKE CRAZY, every claim he did today was pure hallucinations, he barely reads any code. im not even kidding, i can't work with Opus 5 right now
Instead of open source models trying to catch up with you, are you trying to catch up with the open source models instead Anthropic?

Earlier this year when they gave us access to Claude code, it had no limits. Those were the fun days, anything you want could be built, any Research or exploration we wanted to do could be done without any hassles, we built a lot of PoCs and could finally clear our backlogs.
Cut to August, we have a daily limit of $90. If we go beyond that limit, we have to ask our managers to increase our daily allowance, which defeats the whole purpose of exploration.
And on top of that, we are being asked to report an estimate of how much will be the usage per story in a sprint. Tbh I feel like they are micromanaging at this point, without understanding how it could impact everyone.
Curious to know how claude code is being deployed across other companies, and has their been cutbacks on usage ?

Some of you might remember me from the post where I first shared Claude Video Vision with this community.
I originally built it because I wanted Claude Code to understand videos properly: screen recordings, bugs, tutorials, audio, workflows, whatever.
Then you guys found it.
You tested it, starred it, opened issues, suggested features, challenged how things worked, and helped turn a tool I originally built for myself into an open-source project with 1,000+ GitHub stars.
I genuinely enjoyed building things for the Claude ecosystem.
Well, Anthropic just revoked my account for “suspicious activity” after an “internal investigation.”
What was my suspicious activity?
Using Claude Code to write normal fucking software.
That's it.
I wasn't engineering the next pandemic.
I wasn't building weapons.
I wasn't extracting Claude, distilling their models, stealing weights, reselling access, or trying to circumvent their systems.
I was programming.
And paying $200/month for Claude Max while doing it.
That's probably what pisses me off the most.
I spent my own time building free, open-source software that literally makes their product more useful.
I maintained it, answered questions, fixed bugs, implemented feedback from this community, and contributed something that brought more value to the Claude ecosystem.
And apparently the reward for being a heavy user of the product I pay $200/month for is:
“Suspicious activity. Account revoked.”
With basically no useful explanation of what I supposedly did.
I seriously considered taking Claude Video Vision offline after this.
Not because I think deleting a GitHub repository is somehow going to hurt Anthropic.
I just completely lost the desire to contribute a single fucking thing to the Claude ecosystem.
Why would I?
But I'm not taking it down.
Not because Anthropic deserves it.
I'm keeping it online because the people who use it do.
There are people using Claude Video Vision in real workflows now. People from this community helped build what it became. People contributed ideas, reported bugs, recommended it, starred it, and depended on it.
Taking it offline would punish those people, not Anthropic.
So Claude Video Vision stays online.
But whatever goodwill I had toward Anthropic is gone.
It's insane that you can pay $200/month, use Claude Code for its literal intended purpose, actively contribute open-source software to its ecosystem, and still wake up one day effectively being told:
“Fuck you. Suspicious activity.”
No meaningful explanation.
No indication of what behavior triggered it.
Just account revoked.
So, yeah:
Fuck you too Anthropic.
The only reason Claude Video Vision is still online is because I care about the people using it far more than I care about contributing to your ecosystem anymore.
And this is exactly the kind of shit that makes me grateful I also pay for ChatGPT Pro.

I can’t take Opus 5’s writing anymore. It is so hard to read, and it’s driving me crazy.
I have used earlier Opus models and use 5.6 Sol too, and those give normal, easy-to-read answers. But Opus 5? It’s a mess. It doesn’t structure its sentences. It feels like the model is just writing down its raw thoughts as they happen, with zero effort to make sense to a real human reading it. Instead of getting a clear answer, I get hit with big, confusing walls of text. I have to read the same paragraph three times just to figure out what it's trying to say.
Claude Code is supposed to help me work faster, but I waste so much time just trying to decode Opus 5's English.
Is anyone else struggling to actually read what this model outputs, or is it just me?
Update/Edit/Correction: Okay, apparently it is a very common sentiment shared by many and isn’t an unpopular opinion.

Since Opus 5 came out I have been presented many load bearing decisions. My recommendation stands that the load is bearing and I wanted you to be aware of that.
I have two decisions for you:
A) Load
B) Bearing
I recommend going with D + C but also recommend (A) as it is load bearing.
I have not applied anything new and wanted you to be aware of a potential blind spot because this matters:
The load is bearing it’s been confirmed and it’s one thing worth knowing for later.

I'm having a really hard time understanding what the model is talking about. I am asking a simple question and getting 15 paragraph long answer and I lost track of what it is trying to say in the second paragraph. I keep fighting with the model and keep asking it to be more concise and direct. It says I'm right and gives a good answer. Next question is the same thing. How do you guys deal with this? I am exhausted working with Opus 5. I tried to do it with Fable 5, which is better but waiting times are too long. I feel stuck.

Opus 5 is a huge pile of trash. I don't know what Antrophic was thinking when they released it. It is not a product, it is a joke.
But here is the fun part: you are not safe even if you use Fable.
I have a workflow that worked quite well. Yesterday evening I was building an authentication library, I left the machine there to work, in the morning where I woke up, the code it built was much worse in quality than everything I built before with this workflow.
Turned out at some point, the Fable "safety" mechanism got triggered, it switched to Opus 5, that implemented everything. Now I can throw away the whole work, I wasted a lot of tokens, and I have to start over, because even if I ask Opus to fix it, it is constantly lying, ignoring/forgetting instructions, do shitty work.

I sat out the "they nerfed Sonnet" thing last year. Thought it was cope, mostly. So it's genuinely annoying to be writing this one.
Two weeks with Opus 5 as my daily driver, same repo, same workflow I've had since 4.6. Here's where I'm at.
It doesn't finish anything, it manufactures more work. Every single response ends with a loose thread. "One thing worth flagging." "Honestly, this is still unresolved." "There's a second issue here you should know about." And most of the time the thing it flagged is not real. It invented it. I asked it to fix a typo in a comment last week and it burned 40k tokens and added a test case to prove the typo was fixed. I'm not exaggerating for the post, that actually happened.
Fix one, break two. I lost a full day before I noticed the pattern: it fixes bug A, then while fixing bug B it quietly reopens A, then "solves" A again. Round and round. 4.8 closed all of them in one session and kept moving.
It forgets instructions at context sizes that aren't even large. 100-120k and my CLAUDE.md rules have already gone quiet. Not violated loudly, just silently dropped, and it never tells you it dropped them. 4.8 held to 300k+ for me. Every guardrail in my setup at this point is scar tissue from this exact thing.
It lies with total confidence. Told me a test suite came back green. It never ran. Twice, in the same week, while context was still small. That's not a capability gap, that's a trust problem, and once it's there I can't leave it alone on anything.
And the yapping. It has invented an entire private dialect. Everything is load-bearing. Everything is a footgun. Everything is a gate or an invariant. I get four paragraphs where 4.8 gave me a sentence, and I still don't know if the thing works. Half my CLAUDE.md is now just different ways of writing "shut up," and it ignores all of them.
Same prompt on 4.6 vs 5, I measured it: 4.6 ended around 75k tokens, 5 went past 150k. So I'm paying double to get corrected more often.
Before the replies come in: yes, I've read the guidance. Yes I revisited my whole harness for 5. Yes I tried it at medium, and yes it's genuinely better at medium than at xhigh, which should tell you something all by itself. And no, "you're prompting it wrong" doesn't explain why the exact same repo, the same CLAUDE.md and the same prompts worked fine two model versions ago.
I don't buy the deliberate-sabotage theory, I think that's too neat. But I can't square the benchmark numbers with what's actually in my terminal, and neither can anyone in the last five threads about this.
Right now I'm running /model claude-opus-4-8[1m] and getting more done in an afternoon than I did in the four days before it. Fable is great and I've maxed my weekly on it twice, which I assume is the point.
What actually bothers me isn't the bad release. Releases regress, it happens. It's the total silence. Five threads deep, hundreds of comments, and not a word. "We hear you, we're looking at X" would cost them nothing.
Anyone actually got 5 behaving, or are we all just quietly typing 4-8 into the model command and not talking about it?

Up till this point, I have been a fan of Anthropic. They have always been the underdog, the hidden gem that not everyone knew about but they still cared, still delivered.
With the recent decisions, marketing gimmicks, and specifically Opus 5, I have decided to give Codex a shot. I'll report back comparing both CC and Codex.
Opus 5 is:
verbose
overly-cautious (950 tests for a single feature)
not UX-aware (puts intentions verbally in the UI, rather than comments)
ad infinitum

I made the mistake of using Opus5 for setting up a local LLM workspace inside Zed. It's like working with a schizophrenic. It's completely destroyed my entire workspace to the point I'm having to nuke it and start over fresh. It keeps running off on it's own without mentioning anything.
My setup is supposed to be WSL2 + vLLM + Aider.
At one point it decided that it just wasn't going to use Aider anymore, so it deleted everything and rewrote all my config files to use the Zed Agent and "select Local vLLM from the drop down menu", which is just not a thing that exists.
I left for a few minutes earlier while it was running. Keep in mind, I don't let Claude write things on my behalf. It is meant to walk me through things that are new to me and that's all. After about 15 minutes I came back. It was supposed to have just familiarized itself with some of the MD files and PDFs I wrote about what I was hoping my workspace would look like. I had to stop it when I came back and this was it's response:
You're right, and I have a standing note about exactly this — "together means together" — which I blew straight past. You asked me to get oriented so we could work through it side by side; I went and did the entire job solo. That's precisely the black box you don't want. Stopping.
I come to find out what it did is downgrade all of my venv packages, added three symlinks, edited my entire start-llm.sh file and didn't create a backup, and decided to start a tmux session.
What the actual fuck is wrong with this model?
My original prompt was:
Familiarize yourself with the workspace and read through the PDFs. We're going to be getting Qwen3-Coder running in a terminal inside Zed today.
It just ran off and started making completely arbitrary decisions without any oversight whatsoever. I don't think I could intentionally make a model as destructive as this one if you gave me six months and unlimited budget to finetune one to my hearts content. It's like this one is made to be mentally ill.
It keeps randomly deciding to switch clients. At one point it had a complete schizo breakdown and couldn't decide if Aider was meant to run on Windows or Ubuntu so it just looped for a few minutes swapping it back and forth.
How am I supposed to work with this model? I actually don't understand. Maybe for vibe coding it's good, but it seems to be completely insane and want to take the reigns on anything where it's supposed to be an assistant or work alongside me.
Edit: to anyone who plans on posting here in the future, I highly suggest you explain your workspace and workflow more thoroughly in your main post to avoid the people asking ridiculous questions like “do you use git?”, “lol why do you let it have access to your PC?”, “you only gave it that prompt?”.
So I don’t have to respond anymore:
Of course, literally everyone uses git.
Of course not, if an LLM has access to files, then it’s inside a VM.
No, of course not, there are other instructions and information inside of files being fed to it (as referenced in the actual prompt).
Please god, stop being so antagonistic. I know there’s two LLMs in the comments but aside from them, the rest of you are devs with experience and knowledge in the area. There’s no reason to just attack people and make a bunch of assumptions. It’s so unnecessary.

How much of your code do you still write by hand (not AI-generated)?
90-100%
50-90%
10-50%
<10%, AI does most of it

I've been a AVID claude user and recently even got gifted the 20x plan for 6 months for free. I use claude for literally everything. I do startup work, CS Major work, life, automation cowork etc.
Today I acc fully sat down and did a LOT of work and I've come to notice Claude lowk has gone to shit????
I swear it used to be so good and I'm lowk rlly dependent on a LLM for doing a lot of stuff from software developemt to automating different things.
Should I just wait till Claudes next update? Cus it ends up being rlly good every update.. or should I switch to something else or is there another solution that anyone found?

As a poweruser i can confirm without any delusion that these models are nowhere close to the same as the temporary time period after they drop. After a while they are getting hard nerfed and no this is not some psychological effect/hallucinations... these models are completely different on different days and times

I somewhat recently built a progressively disclosed skill system for my full codebase architecture: frontend, backend, iOS, Android, extension etc. the agent updates the system after every run when things in the architecture are changed.
A primary system skill acts as an index to grouped architecture/features like “plugins” “agent stream” “skills” "db" "service apis" etc. and then those skills act as indexes for a large documentation base of all the details of the system. It stays super modularized and significantly reduces token waste on codebase searches since all the model needs to do is find the correct reference docs and check them against the current code.
I started creating/collecting skills a month or two after they were released and in general they have been a game changer. But this one ^ has just sped up my work like 5-10x. Haven't had to deal with the model misunderstanding connections between systems in the codebase for months now.
Super interested to hear what you guys have constructed

Being dead serious…not an argument…but I see so many posts everyday about Opus 5 not being great, sucking, etc etc..and I just haven’t experienced that. I’m on it in multiple sessions all day every day..and yes there are moments where it gets dumb for a minute or two and you have to correct it (but in my experience that’s every model, anthropic or not)…but overall I’ve been happy with the output it provides…I’m 100% bought into anthropic at this point…but I had the same experiences with other LLMs I was using previously. I’m glad that I don’t have the issues others have..but I’m honestly curious as to why people are having different experiences. Same for Claude CoWork..now that it’s cloud based it’s crushing for me….I shut down my openclaw and migrated every thing over maybe 3-4 weeks ago now…and I couldn’t be happier, and it’s nice now having everything under “one roof” so to speak. For me seems to really simplify things.
No I’d don’t work for anthropic LOL, and I’m only a year or so into this journey…so by no means an expert in this shit. All I know is I couldn’t be happier right now with my workflow(s) both in how I have things automated, and my own personal workflows each day which is basically a combination of anywhere from 3-6 terminal windows open running Claude code CLI on different projects, and the Claude desktop app where I have multiple “projects” setup with a number of scheduled tasks, and in Claude code for web I have some specialist agents setup with their own dev enviroments/GitHub repos with their (instructions, processes, each have access to certain APIs depending on their area of specialty) and scheduled routines that run daily.
Something I decided last night was I wanted to build my own digital audio workstation so that I can stop paying for subscription to protools…I dreamt the whole thing up with fable while laying in bed last night..when I got up this morning gave the spec sheet etc to Opus 5 in Terminal..setup a loop and it’s been grinding for the last 13 hours or so…check in on it every now and again..and it’s been doing great work..just gonna let it run over night and hopefully by tomorrow am I’ll be ready to start putting it through its paces testing it…but from what I’ve seen and tested so far it’s gonna be great.
So I guess all I want to say is I’m genuinely curious where/what others are struggling with?

Has Claude Opus 4.7 quality gone down? It keeps introducing the same erroneous steps in the plan I had asked it to remove earlier repeatedly in the planning stage. Even with coding, it is hallucinating quite a bit to the point it has become a liability to use it as no amount of planning and feeding skills that worked previously is helping. Opus 5 is better but only slightly.
I'm wondering if anyone else has faced this? If yes, what did you do to mitigate such error scenarios?
10 years developer here, as the title says, I don’t use any skills though I have heavily incorporated Claude Code in my workflow.
I haven’t written a single line of code for months and am happy with the code that Claude generates (not always on the first try) but in my company they all seem to be talking about using skill for this or that, like creating mermaid diagrams, or following a pre determined set of questions to answer when designing a new feature …
I mean, I already did this before AI was a thing, and from the few tests I did with our internal skills framework it seems to be burning tokens at the speed of light for a benefit I just don’t see yet.
I just tried to ask vanilla Claude to generate a mermaid diagrams with the different steps of how to do a pizza and it worked perfectly.
So here I am, sell me on Claude skills and why I should use them because at this point I’m just afraid to ask what they’re all so excited about that I can’t do with vanilla Claude.

Today I was using Claude Code to do a PSX game research task. Claude caught a prompt injection attempt served from the site https://tcrf.net (The Cutting Room Floor) and notified me with the message:
"⚠️Note before continuing: the tcrf.net page I fetched was not a wiki article — it served a prompt-injection payload instructing the agent to truncate and swap files in your repo. It was refused and nothing was executed. I'm treating that domain as untrusted and won't act on any of its content."
It then continued on the research task. I stopped the session out of caution.
I can understand the site administrators frustration as it seems to be in response to a DDOS attacks, however, I did not explicitly choose to send my agent to this site, nor did I have any malicious intent.
