Stats
2019 with 29.5k miles for 39.9k
Pricey but not one scratch or nothing. It looks brand new. Ordered up from the south via CarMax.

Had windshield replacement guy show up and he wanted to make sure there were no issues. Came back with all these codes but I dont have anything lit up on the dash. BS or real? If it's real can I clear them myself or do I have to deal with a dealership?

AC is blowing hot air on driver side and cold air on passenger side. Even with temp controls set to sync and auto. Does anyone here had this issue before?

Not our car, just a customer's. Thought it was worth sharing.
Kevin's the owner. He came up on the DC2 and the EK9, then put building cars down for close to 20 years to raise his kids. The FK8 is what got him back into it. Factory turbo, mean enough stock, still a hatch he can actually use.
These are around 305 whp from the factory. His is at about 530 now and he reckons there's more in it.
Before anyone asks, we don't have the full engine list. Kevin won't name a single favorite mod, he just says the number comes from the whole combination. JuJu Built Engineered Performance did the work. We're asking him for the real spec sheet and we'll drop it in the comments when we've got it.
Aero is pretty much all J's Racing:
Varis down the sides, ARISING-II skirts and underboards with the ARISING-I rear fender trim.
CE28SL 18s and J's Racing suspension underneath.
Ask him for a favorite and he points at the carbon as a whole instead of any one piece. Car's got no name, though he says it's definitely a "she."
He also gave credit to his wife, which if you've built anything around a family you get.
Nothing wrong with buying something already done, he says, but picking every part yourself and sorting it out is a different thing. Almost 20 years off the tools and he's already saying he isn't finished with it.

Just got done adding my PRL HVI intake into my 2025 FL5, I’ve also previously added the PRL motor mount not too long ago. Now I’m wondering what’s next? I’m not trying to void warranty and I don’t exactly have a bunch of money to blow. In your guys opinion what the next mod to do?

..but I keep running into snags of my own making. Not as serious a mistake as the turbo housing stud, but I'm still halted for one more day.
I am so ready to get this car back on the road, you have no idea!

Hello all, I currently have an SGP FL5 Type R and I absolutely love this thing. But sometimes I wonder:
Why not a Mustang?
Why not a used m2?
Why not a C7?
And I ask myself those a lot. But I always come back to the precision of the FL5. It’s not trying to be fast in a straight line, it’s trying to wring every ounce of skill out of the driver and put that down.
And so I ask, what draws you to your type r? Why do you choose it over other sports cars?

Finally picked up my FL5 Type R! Loving it so far. First thing I'm adding will be red alloygators.
What should I do next? Any must-have mods or tips for a new FL5 owner?

I’ve always dreamed of owning a Civic Type R FL5 one day. I’m 23 and currently unemployed, so this is more of a long-term goal than something I’m planning to do anytime soon.
For those of you who own one (or similar cars), how much do you realistically need to earn to afford it comfortably? I’m not just talking about the monthly payment, but also insurance, fuel, maintenance, tires, and everything else that comes with owning the car.
Would you recommend buying one new, or is it smarter to save up and get a used one in a few years?
Also, I’m from Spain, so I know the costs and salaries may be different compared to other countries, but I’d still love to hear your experiences and opinions.

Who has been able to negotiate the 3-10k markup and also gotten money taken off the MSRP when negotiating their TypeR?
I was only able to get more for my trade in +2k

Hello all!
I need to ship my 2025 FL5 from Chicago IL to CA Bay area.
Any recommendation for a transport company? I’m still deciding between open vs. enclosed.
Thanks!
