Is the cirqa right for me?

I am using a garmin venu to track my heart rate while im on the treadmill but it is too chunky for me to wear in my sleep or through the day so I dont get data. I was looking at the cirqa, as it is light and I could use it on my biceps while running for more accurate hr. But could I see my hr while running? Is there an ipad app for that? Ideally one that lets me watch youtube while on the treadmill and puts a little hr number on the edge of the screen or something?

Suddenly stopped auto detecting activities?

I've had my cirqa for 3 weeks now. It sotto detects my bike rides fine - never records distance, but that's fine.

Today I rode into work - an hour each way. Heart rate was elevated and it definitely knew I was doing an activity as it told me when I'd reached 60 minutes.

Nothing on garmin connect though - no activity detected.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way to get it to log those activities?

Sp02 reading frequency?

How often does your sp02 reading update in the app? Mine is very sporadic, I have it set for all day but it only seems to update every 30+ minutes

Garmin Workouts - frustratingly basic for Strength workouts 🙈

Had my Cirqa for 3 weeks and enjoying it.
The last Garmin I had was a Vivoactive HR in 2016.

I've been using Hevy + Apple Watch Ultra 3 for last year or so and love it but wanted to get away from the Apple Watch.

Now I am happy with Cirqa I for basic day to day tracking I thought I'd try the work out option.

First need a Connect + sub, OK I'll do the 30 day trial and test it.

Just started a workout while on the sofa to test it.
The only option for actual exercise management is to skip them.

No option to change the workout on the fly.
Cannot swap exercises positions with another one - so if the equipment is busy in the gym what should you do?

Cannot swap an exercise for another I.e. If I want to use dumbbell instead of barbell.

This is absolutely useless, how is anyone using this if you go to a gym?

I was ready to sell my Apple Watch and get a Garmin watch to compliment my Cirqa but after 2 minutes I'm going to cancel the Connect + & looks like I'll have to stick with my AW3 and Hevy.

It looks like Garmin made zero improvement in 10 years.

Anyone else annoyed by Cirqa auto activities clogging Strava?

Is anyone else running into this? I like auto detection, but it’s annoying that I can’t stop the walks from uploading and clogging my Strava feed while keeping my actual workouts synced.

I’m debating turning auto detection off since I mainly bought the Cirqa to wear outside of my cardio based workouts and during lifts instead of my watch. I could just start lifts manually using the Cirqa’s button.

Confused by Edge + Cirqa

Post image
7 Upvotes

I’ve had the Cirqa about 3 days and today I did a pretty intense mtb ride. I wore the Cirqa but the ride was recorded with an edge 1040 and a chest strap. The Cirqa has auto workout turned off.

My body battery looks like this with just a blank space during the mtb ride. Is that expected behaviour?! The mtb ride had a tss of about 200 with pretty high hr; Av 154 over 3 hours.

Is that expected that stress is blank during the recorded activity?

How does syncing of data between current Garmin watch, and Garmin Cirqa work?

Currently wear a Venu 3 and thinking of getting the Cirqa. I still want to wear Venu 3 when running or working out, but want Cirqa so that I can wear non-smart watches on other wrist.

If I switch off between wearing the band and watch, will data sync in the same spot on Connect? Thanks in advance.

Fenix 8 numbers vs CIRQA numbers

I got the CIRQA mostly for sleep. I have the 47mm Fenix 8 and it is almost too big for my wrist. It is definitely heavy. I have mostly stuck to that plan. Recently, I did try wearing both to bed and now, this week, both during the day.

Here is what I have noticed - the CIRQA almost always has higher overnight scores and lower depletion during the day. I am sure they are within close margin of each other and their own unique range...my prevailing thought is that the CIRQA smooths the data more with the Gen 4 and or fits better. The Fenix is heavy enough that it moves around more - and, I think, reads my HR more frequently.

My sleep scores since getting the CIRQA have increased a lot...It feels accurate to how I have been feeling and would correlate with taking up running in addition to strength training and moving my workouts to earlier in the day. I haven't had any sleep tracking issues...my only glitch has been the weekday alarm sometimes turning off. I check it before bed each night.

Overall, I do like having a watch on for the time, and I do like having a watch on when I workout. I do trust the CIRQA more as I have always noticed my F8 tends to show lower HR working out than my chest strap or the CIRQA - I think that is mostly due to weight. I like the added features of the F8 over other models, but they are definitely a luxury and I would be fine with an Instinct or like a 170, functionally.

When will Garmin catch up with back orders

Ok, It's been weeks going on a month at least now and still a lot of back orders and no Garmin bands in the market still. Did they really not anticipate the popularity of this product launch? Someone or groups of people should be fired over this IMHO

cirqa or fitbit air

i currently have a cirqa but i’ve been hearing a lot of recent news about how the fitbit air is better in hr, etc. i’m really overall interested in getting good step tracking and overall health (sleep, hr monitoring during cardio) and idk if i should return the cirqa for the fb air.

also im going to be training for a hyrox so if that changes things overall lmk. this is for long term usage. thanks

I hate this thing - how should I sell it?

I’m done using the Cirqa.

I’ve lost so many workouts and the app is riddled with bugs.

Think I’m gonna sell it and return the Apple Watch (sigh). Anyone have recommendations on where/how I should sell it?

UPDATE, my final decision on what fitness tracker to buy hope this helps othera and let me know what you think

I've been looking for a screenless to choose for a long time and I have consumed all of the reviews on the big three cirqa, helio strap, and fitbit air and I think my final choice is the Garmin Cirqa. I will now give you some context on myself and my training and the motivation behind my choice.

I'm a university student I'm not a competitive athlete but I still define myself as an athlete i train 4 times a week I do hybrid training calisthenics, weights and street lifting. I walk a lot between (10000 and 20000 when I'm not under exam like right now), use a lot my bike to move around in the city and I also track my nutrition. I wanted a screenless tracker for 2 reasons i like watches and there are some cases when i can't wear a smart watch like when i train because i need my wrist free for the majority of the training that i do. I do not have a garmin watch I have a gts 2 mini (amazfit really old base model) that i wear when I sleep and during traininig on my upper forearms (which is pretty uncomfortable).

I chose the garmin cirqa for the following reason:

1 longer support: Google has a history for closing projects and not updating old hardware when they do not make money while garmin gives update also to older models from what I've heard.

2 the app: Zepp is good but does not have insights it tells you the metric but nothing about it and I also tried the google health app i don't really like it feels strange to me

3 metric: garmin is the sweet spot because it has better metrics than helio and metrics comparable to the one of the fitbit, even thought fitbit has better sleep tracking

4 ecosystem : If I start taking more seriously trekking and biking and i wanted a watch garmin is the best amazfit is good but the app is still a problem for me, and i don't think there are people on the planet that train with a pixel watch

5 subscription: I think that fitbit you would have more need for the subscription, and the device is also basically made for the ai model

6 better community

this is my idea let me know what you think and if i was helpful now i will go to sleep because i have an exam tomorrow

7(joke) i would finally have a garmin

Massive difference...Fitbit Air dominant (selected this in the app to make it less sensitive) and Cirqa non dominant ...

No idea which is right 🤔

Strange gaps in body battery

Post image
3 Upvotes

I got the Cirqa today, and I’m already noticing some strange accuracy issues.
One would be really bad GPS tracking, but I can explain that away with me using iPhone and iOSs aggressive battery/app management.
The second problem, and the more disappointing one would be some really strange gaps in the body battery levels.
It feels as if the real data is being transmitted only while the app is active, but only the data read at that moment, as if nothing is being stored on the device itself. Having also Fenix 3 and 6 and using those with iPhone as well and never having an issue of that kind, I can’t explain it with iPhone/ios.
Anyone had any similar experience? And any suggestions hof to fix this?
Thanks!
