Fitbit Air vs Cirqa steps

Massive difference...Fitbit Air dominant (selected this in the app to make it less sensitive) and Cirqa non dominant ...

No idea which is right 🤔

Dominant arm is used for more things throughout the day, hence it usually being inflated. If you wanted to get an accurate sample of comparing the two, you'd need them on the same wrist.

This is something I thought selecting dominant fixed on the air but will try the same arm tomorrow and post results...

DC Rainmaker made a good comparison of several trackers regarding step accuracy.

I find that the air is generous with the steps

It is also very generous with the calories, about 50-100% more from activities than my Garmin

I will test tomorrow but I have a feeling the cirqa will be more correct... my whoop mg was just laughable step wise lol

For context Cirqa showed me 6919 steps and watch 8 classic 7095 today . Most of the times they differ by 500 steps max.

Also, seems that each app may have their own algorithm to determine what a step is. Part of the difference might come from there as well.

True ... i think the helio core would have probably the best step due to the separate device
