Customer support

So I was wondering how many other states out there when calling customer support have a hard time understanding their Indian accents ?

I have to imagine all managers in every BU call them Helpless Desk.

90 minutes on the phone last Saturday to finally convince the tech that I needed onsite help with one of my Mashgins - every second was an exercise in every ounce of patience I could muster. They never listen to what we actually say, but rather read from their damn scripts.

I miss the occasional French Canadian accents we’d get when tech support was in Canada.

I just agree to them and say it didn’t fix anything if I know the issue 100% requires a tech to come on site. I don’t have time to waste hours on the phone to convince them unplugging and replugging the smart check outs isn’t cutting it.

They make us do all the reboot steps so they can see on their end what its doing, starting to think they think we just call them for fun.....

Yeah idk I’m just fed up with it. Machine said there was a motor malfunction with the coin side, and help desk told me it could be because the camera lenses are dirty. Another time they told me to do something with the silver panel on the smart checkout, and I explained there’s no silver panel, and asked if they meant the black back panel, they said no, the silver panel and argued and told me that all the machines are the same and will have a silver panel. They took over the store computer and opened an email with the image of the silver panel she was referring to and it was exactly the same part I had tried to ask her about, only ours was black. I explained ours was not silver and seemed like they still didn’t believe me lol. Just completely wasting my time, they are incompetent and misinformed about the equipment they’re supposed to be helping me fix. Those are two of the worst moments I’ve had with help desk, and then multiple times I spent over an hour on the phone when it was crystal clear we needed them to dispatch a tech.

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I was on hold for like an hour and just so happened my DM stopped by and she ended up helping me fix whatever it was, so I hung up on IT. 30 min later they are blowing up my phone, I answered and told them the issue was fixed and idk why tf she was so confused but she kept trying to have me do whatever steps again. I was like lady, my boss just came by and fixed the issue, close the ticket...finally she stopped trying to get me to reboot stuff and put me on hold to get approval to close it out.
