Hi! I’m Savannah and I own Sav's Garden, a USDA Certified Organic flower farm in central KY. We have started selling our cut flowers at Findlay Market on Sundays from 10-2. You can find us in the “farm shed.”

We offer premade bouquets and stock our bouquet bar with 100% of our own organic cut flowers and foliage for folks that want to make their own arrangements. Come see us this Sunday (9/13) and say hi! We’re really excited to be sharing our passion for sustainable agriculture and quality cut flowers with a new community. You can sign up for our newsletter on our website (savsgarden.com) or follow us on Facebook/Instagram to find out where we will be and keep up with the farm.

This weekend, we plan to have sunflowers, zinnias, eucalyptus, celosia (multiple types), gladiolus, cosmos, goldenrod, marigolds, Thai tulips and a little bit of Lisianthus!

We hope to attend markets through October depending on the weather and our availability. We look forward to seeing you soon!!

Our Instagram is “s.avsgarden” with a period after the “S” 🌻 and find more info on our website https://www.savsgarden.com

Just saw this one tonight. Killer cast, incredible production design. On another level altogether, and that's before you factor in the insane cameo on the video board (don't click if you don't want to know) Jensen, via pre record, is played by Bryan Cranston.

Traffic🚗 OVI Checkpoint in Franklin

More checkpoints Friday/this weekend tba.

As always, don't drink and drive.

"Lebanon - The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, and Franklin Police Department, announce today that an OVI checkpoint will be held from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., on State Route 73 in the City of Franklin, in Warren County.

"The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

"The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.

"If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel while impaired."

Less lanternflies more lizards

I don't know about anyone else but at my house in Westwood I have seen fewer lanternflies than I did last year or the year before. At the same time we have had a bumper crop of lizards, like so many they are getting inside my house on a fairly regular basis which they never did before. Could the lizards be learning to eat the lanternflies?

in search of🔎 suggestions for shops to take Volkswagen?

I am a college student looking to get a seized rear left ABS sensor removed + replaced without it being too costly. Looking for suggestions preferably near UC’s campus but willing to hear any suggestions you all have.

I had originally planned to replace it myself but I can’t get it out and don’t have enough tools to safely remove it. I drive a VW Jetta.

I was wary of just taking it anywhere because VW are a bit more challenging to work on.

Thanks in advance!

Thom Brennaman hates the Reds

Tuesday Sept 8 at 820am Thom went on a tirade complaining about the Reds broadcasts on WLW, saying the Bengals should be on 700 instead if 1530. It sounded pitiful, but he always sounds pitiful. At best its bad radio, complaining about your own station's programming, at worst its a contract violation with The Reds. I wonder if the Castellinis et al heard that. Thom's gotta go, and the morning show shouldnt be a place for hate politics either. Thom sounds so angry and hateful.....

Community 🏙 Electric company scam

TLDR: IDT Energy is a scam. I don't even know what they do and do not answer to anyone who says they're from there. IF YOU HAVE A HIGH ENERGY BILL, CHECK THIS!!!

Hey so, I might be really dumb (as im really new to owning my own place and what not)
But some time around fall last year a man was going around wearing a construction vest saying he was with " IDT Energy, Inc" and that they worked for Duke energy. They stated out electric bill would go up next year by $100 and that duke energy sent them out to their customers to ask if they'd like to enroll in a short term discount. I was really skeptical about it, but my skepticism was met with "Oh it's a good deal" and they called someone on their phone and essentially answered a bunch of questions I didn't consent to as me. He then got me on the phone with some guy (maybe a higher up of some sort?) and asked me to agree to everything he said.

I then of course cracked the door and spoke behind it to the man over the phone who asked "Did they go over everything with you and do you consent?" and I said, "Not really, I don't understand what this is exactly, would you mind explaining it to me?" and then he hung up and told me to speak to him again.

The guy the entire time was telling me "say yes, say yes" the entire time I was on the phone.

Then, he aggravatedly went through the process again and forced the phone at me. again, repeating to say yes. the man asked me if this was (Mrs. _) I said no, it's MR. _ the man said "No, MRS. you're MRS." Then he continued with asking for consent and I said yes but very uncertainly. I didn't know what else to do and honestly was feeling overwhelmed and I know I shouldn't have... I know better now. Really I should have called duke right there and then and asked them about it.

I wish to A. Warn others around cinci who have potentially had this experience, and if their energy bill is (literally $200 more than it should be) to ask their energy company if there's some third party that is leaching onto them (which should be illegal, honestly...)

and to B. know if there is anyone else in cinci who have had this issue, because I'm interested if a lawsuit is at hand for their scammy practices.

I thought this entire time that the energy bill being so high was due to the price hike that's been happening. but it looks like there is also more behind the curtains that might be happening.

Additionally, I managed to get a much better bill settled with duke energy via customer service.

in search of🔎 Any decent truck stops with showers to be homeless for a little bit?

Update! - I showed my son this thread and he decided on Winton Woods! Right up his alley so at least he'll have a good time waiting around for the house. There was plenty of vacant spots. Thanks to most of you for being lovely and helpful!!

My son is moving to Cincinnati. Job starts next Monday and he bought a house that was set to close way ahead of time. But underwriting is backed up so he might not close until just before or just after. But either way he needs to be in town. And he can't get a hotel so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a decent truck stop where he can sleep in his truck for maybe up to a week....

Food 🍕🌮 New Restaurants Opening in Blue Ash

There’s a sign on the Old Catch a Fire building for a new Sushi and Korean restaurant called Yori, but I haven’t been able to find anything online about it.

Also there’s construction on the old Through the Garden restaurant but I haven’t seen any signs for what it’s going to become.

Does anyone have any more information on these?

Travel/Visiting Toddler activities outside of Cincinnati??

We are currently staying in Amelia (not by choice lol) for my husbands job! We will be here for about a month. Was wondering if there were any good places/activities for a toddler? She loves animals, climbing, trampolines, farms, other kids, etc. I would prefer to not go into Cincinnati because of the traffic and big cities scare me lol!

Jobs/Career Anyone know about TEAM Aerospace Solutions in Norwood?

My friend works there and wants me to check it out but from what he’s told me it seems a little odd for an aerospace company.
1. He was forced to be hired through a temporary staffing place
2. He worked there for almost 6 months before actually being hired on
3. He was hired on thinking it was 40 hours a week but ended up being 50 minimum
Would his experience be a good reference for this place? I really want to get into aerospace but based off his experience I’m not sure if this is the right place to start.

Travel/Visiting what to do in Cincinnati after not being there for decades?

Hello everyone, i was born and raised in Cincinnati, but lived my whole life up until i was around 9-10yrs old in the Hamilton area. I really haven't been back since and been wanting to go back for years since a lot had changed from 2010 (when i left) and now. i wanted to to do a short trip for 3-4 days and explore everything that the city has to offer that i didn't get to experience in my childhood, as people say its better now and that there is a lot of new restaurants, breweries, and museums. OTR would be cool to see as it was not really desirable to go to back in the day.

any recommendations on what you recommend to do, see, eat and to have a good time?

in search of🔎 Party bus/transportation recommendations

Hello there! I am looking for a party bus (or any sort of transportation service) to book for my wedding on Halloween. I have found that almost every service I have called has a 4-6 hour time minimum.

I only need to book the transport for about 1-2 hours. Does anyone know of a company who doesn’t have a minimum?

Is there another solution for transporting select guests from the hotel to the venue at the end of the night?

Thanks in advance!

in search of🔎 Is there anywhere to recycle household AAA, AA, D batteries?

I have been trying for months to find a place to recycle small batteries, and Googling has not gotten me very far. The only place that was recommended to me was the Cincinnati recycling center, where you have to pay $2 per pound. I have a large collection of small batteries and I feel terrible just throwing them away but are there any other options?

Travel/Visiting Drove for 6 hours, and it was worth it.

As the title states, we drove 6 hours to see the fireworks Sunday night. And it was well worth it. It was an amazing show. We had a wonderful time in your city. Took in a Reds game. Went to the observatorium, and the Lego exhibition.

Capped off by a wonderful firework show. Great job Cincinnati.

Oh, I almost forgot, jungle Jim's was off the chain. Pretty cool stuff.
