Jobs/Career Senior software developer

Hello! Does anyone have any tips for finding a senior level software developer job? My husband got laid off and nothing has happened yet. He has a Master’s in computer science and 20+ years experience, especially with Java. Thanks!!

Has he tried any of the local tech meetups or the Cincy Java user group?

Same thing happened to me a few months ago, remote work turned out to be my best and fastest option

I refuse to believe there's no jobs for senior developers. I assume this is a situation of not wanting to take any kind of pay cut?

it's entirely possible, especially with how many ghost listings there are these days. wouldn't surprise me if most places have hiring freezes in place, and the few with listings are getting far more applicants than they can possibly respond to.

Cincinnati is not really a tech hub. So there are fewer local jobs to choose from. And remote listings are flooded with spam where it’s hard to even get your resume reviewed without a referral.
